Hi, I bought at the same time a SONOS 3 and a SONOS 5 speaker. Both are well registered on my SONOS account. I need to change my Sonos 5 Gen 1 which is not compatible with the new SONOS system and I want to use he 30% discount upgrade program. For a bug reason that cannot be explained by SONOS for weeks, the offer is available on my account for the SONOS 3 and not for my SONOS 5. The Sales representative does not give any help to solve the problem. I am considering contacting a lawer to sue SONOS on the principle since I bought this speaker, ii is well registered and I am entitled to benefit from this offer. I am incredibly surprised how SONOS treats its customers who want to be faithful to SONOS and buy a new product and I will protect my rights and those of the customers whatever it costs me.
Bonjour 👋 et bonne année à tous et à toutes Paraîtrait qu’il y aurait un nouveau sub de prévu pour cette année ?! avez vous des nouvelles à ce sujet et peut être sur d autres projets ? portez vous bien 👍
Connect refuses to connect. Then after some minutes is does then fails again. My 3 sonos 1’s are fine. Not impacted. WTF
Hi gang, when I get to the point where I have to add my music library (from my synology NAS, I add: \\192.168..1.11\MusicI add username and password correctly as well. The message I then get is: Error adding musicSonos was unable to add the music folderPlease check that the path to the folder, and the username and password if needed are correct.Reason: Access to the shared folder \\192.168..1.11\Music is denied Have had this problem for almost a year and don’t know how to correct it. Windows Firewall is open for Sonos also in Windows settings, Power and Sleep is set to never. I use the Sonos controller S1, have got two Gen1 Play 5 speakers. Thanks for all your help!
I bought a Sonos Port so I could play music though my KEF LS50s and Sonos Arc simultaneously. I was told before purchase that hardwiring the KEFS via RCA wires would work, but after spending 1.5 hours on the phone with tech support we couldn’t connect the KEFs to the Sonos App. We set the KEFS to auxillary, plus I tried all other settings afterwards, with no success. The Port is refurbished and I am wondering if that is the problem. The tech said that I needed to buy an optical converter since optical worked before with a Sonos Connect. A good converter costs more than 150.00 and I really want to see if I can avoid spending money on yet another purchase. What am I missing? What am I doing wrong? All advice welcome. Thanks!!!!
As it says in the title - does anyone know why they won’t allow this? It seems to me to be the dream set up, so I can’t begin to understand why Sonos haven’t jumped all over this! My current surround set-up is a JBL 9.1 with fully wire free (ie they are rechargeable and operate via wifi) rear speakers, and it’s a brilliant system
Why can't I connect a Sub over Wifi to a Sonos Amp and hear audio. The Sub needs to be located 25 metres from the Sonos amp which is in a rack with 11 other Amps all connected by ethernet. The support team tell me my Sub either needs to be close to the Amp (less than 15ft) or connected to my network by ethernet cable. If it will work connected by ethernet cable, I don't see any reason why it shouldn't also work over WiFi. Seems pretty poor to me. Disappointed.
Finally got the RH speaker in a Roam stereo pair to come on with the LH one on alarm but now the volume is the same as the primary alarm volume whereas before it was the previously set volume for all grouped speakers. Anyone know a workaround for this?
Works even better since Sonos added support for DTS 🥳 Now instead of using that unreliable Sound Blaster Dolby Digital Live implementation I can use my Asus motherboard built-in DTS Connect. Audio volume can be controlled from the PC and the audio stream stops when no audio is played which causes the Playbar to shutdown audio too after about 5 mn. I can hear it when the white noise stops.
I’ve gotten zero help, I have to unplug my Playbar almost weekly or Spotify cuts in and out. It’s extremely annoying and unplugging my Playbar is difficult as it’s mounted over my fireplace.
HardwareSamsung S95B 65” (firmware 1520)Apple TV 4K (iOS17)Sonos Beam Gen 2 (latest firmware)I have the AppleTv connected into HDMI 1i have the Sonos Beam Gen 2 connected into the HDMI 3 eARC.CEC is switched on.BackgroundFor the past 9 months since getting the setup everything has worked perfectly. The TV has switched on with the Apple Remote, the input defaults to HDMI 1 and audio plays out the soundbar be default.Issue2 weeks ago, this all stopped. Whenever I turn the TV on with the Apple TV remote and use the AppleTV apps the Samsung Tv no longer sees the Sonos Beam and defaults to TV Speaker.WorkaroundThe only way to fix it is by switching off the Beams power disconnecting the HDMI and reconnecting, the TV then sees the Beam again, reinitialises the connection and continues to play audio from the Beam.As soon as I switch the tv off again… later that day, turn it back on and I have to repeat the same process. CEC isn’t being disabled and no config is changing in the TV settings, it
I LOVED MY SONOS PRODUCTS, BUT NOW WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING SONOS AGAIN!!! I have two original Play 5 speakers. I used the app to play them as a Stereo pair. They sounded phenomenal! Then I bought a Beam sound bar for my TV. I used the app to setup surround sound using all three units and it was absolutely wonderful! Then the app updated to Sonos 2 app. Now my Play 5 speakers are not compatible and they no longer work as a surround sound system I paid a lot of money for, they don't even work for stereo pair anymore.
The thread below is closed, but it’s the exact same issue I’m having. A large Apple Music playlist will not add to the queue. I submitted diagnostics: 1166537982.
Hi. I recently purchased a HDMI splitter from Maplin MP code SEECS2P. My set up consists of a virginmedia set top box as the input, feeding a Samsung smart tv in the bedroom and a Sony smart tv in the lounge. This set up works perfectly however I have a Sonos arc connected to the lounge tv and a Sonos beam connected to the bedroom tv. When both are connected they report that they are disabled due to communications issues with them, when only one is connected they work perfectly. Any ideas?
Hello I have recently bought the full home theater setup: Arc, subwoofer, 300s to pair with a traditional rear room projector. I'm using a Roku as the source and a switch to separate and preserve the Dolby Atmos audio signal. I have a choice to place the Roku and switch at either the front of the room near the Arc or at the rear of the room near the projector and run a cable between the two for either audio or video transmission depending on the location of the Roku/switch. Locating the Roku/switch at the rear of the room adjacent to the projector is a cleaner visual approach (no extra equipment near the screen) and is my preference but I'd like to know if there are any concerns or problems running a 25-30 foot HDMI cable from the source to the Arc?
I have many stereo pairs and surround groups in my Sonos system. A good number of times in the past, and recently I have issues where a room like “Kitchen” for instance, work to play music from voice prompts thru Alexa or Sonos voice control BUT the room doesn’t show up in the app (iOS, Mac or Windows.) I’m currently in that situation with several rooms. It’s baffling, frustrating, and paints a very negative image of the product and its ecosystem. And now there are valid competitors in this field.I can go in the kitchen and tell Alexa/Sonos to play music from any of my connected services, and it works. The daily alarm playlist (originally setup in Sonos app) starts at the set alarm time each day. So all seems well - thru voice commands and I supposed saved repetitive activities. But the room doesn’t show up in the app and the alarm and/or its playlist cannot be accessed/adjusted at all (no room, no playlist/alarm...)I’ve rebooted all speakers and the router to no avail. Many of my spea
The Services page at https://support.sonos.com/en-us/services is very useful, but could you please add a “Parental Control” option so it is easy to se which services support that on Sonos?
I’m wanting to mount my era 300’s to the wall and conceal the wires. I know there is a solution for the sonos 1 but I can’t find one for the era 300. Aside from running the power through the wall. Or installing an outlet near by and simply plugging it in, are there any products that support power and mount together?
Hello!I am a newbie to Sonos, having shed an old Samsung soundbar (which was terrible!). I have just ordered the Arc, and will soon complement with 2 x Era 100s (or 300s if my budget stretches!) and later the sub. I’ve gone round in circles trying to decide on the best configuration and it would be great to have more experienced help!My TV (Sony Bravia, 4k) has eARC, but it doesn’t have enough HDMI inputs (I need for Apple TV, consoles FireStick, Virgin media box, DVD player). My plan is:TV to Arc via eARC Inputs > HDMI switch > one of the my TV’s HDMI inputsI want to maximise audio and display quality so will look for a HDMI switch with minimum 4k and Dolby Atmos pass through. I’ve seen posts about Feintech, HDFury (expensive, great reviews, but I don’t think I need because I have eARC), Kinovo etc. A couple of questions:Does this config make sense? What HDMI switch would you recommend (to maximise the capability of my Arc)?Big thanks!!
I’ve just set up my new ray soundbar and I’m finding the television remote will only turn the volume up, but not down?
Hello Everyone,I have one question about a strange situation with my two Era 100.These one are in stereo mode with a fixed IP addresses on my home network. My Sonos configuration is in 5ghz.Sometimes not always I have a strange situation, the right one has a low volume that the left one, the right one works but with a volume lower. This situation is not permanent.Have you an idea about this situation ?Kind regards to you.
Hi All.Recently purchased the Beam 2 to go with my LG C2. The sound bar is great but was a hassle to setup. At first the two devices couldn’t establish an ARC connection. Which I found a fix was to power everything down, remove all the HDMI connections, power back up and start the TV Setup process through the Sonos app, which in turn solved the issue. However the connection issue seems to be happening again randomly, so I have to do the above process all over again which can become tedious.Wanted to check if anyone else is experiencing the same issue and if they have a fix for it.Thanks in advance.
I can’t get audio to play from my Samsung Frame TV to my Sonos Beam (Gen 2). My connection is HDMI from the TV to the Beam. Do I need to connect to from the TV to the One Connect Box instead? (P.S. I tried looking for answers on here and I don’t think this has been covered, but apologies if I missed it.)
Hi there. If I install my Sonos Ones on the celing for surround will they automatically come on with the TV then turn off when streaming music only ?I don't want my guests having to turn the Ones on for TV then off for music as they won't have the app on their phones
