Hello, I am trying to Add my CBC Hourly News RSS feed to Sonos. My goal is to have this play every morning when we wake up so we can hear the latest news. Would be great if we can stack these as well. Tidal playlists not showing in Sonos app
Hi, it seems that I cannot find any of my own Tidal playlists. I do find the official Tidal playlists but when it comes to my own playlists I cannot find them. Even when I rename one of them to some phantasy word to prevent it from being lost in all the official playlists that are returned after the search. I also re-authorized my Tidal account but the problem persists.What could I do to track down the problem further? Cheers,Andreas
"unable to play…song is not encoded properly"
I see that other people have been having this problem but haven’t seen any fixes or even reasons why this problem occurs. For a long time I’ve been listening to my Mixcloud uploads on my Sonos 5 Gen 1 without any problems, but now I get the “unable to play song is not encoded properly” and nothing to listen to, unless I switch to a radio station. Are you aware of this problem? There’s nothing wrong with my internet connection and the radio station can play okay. Is this a problem with MixCloud, or is it Sonos? I have the Sonos S1 Controller installed and it was working fine until recently.
Unable to play some stations through Sonos
There are some stations that are on radio.net that I can stream on my cell phone, but won’t stream using Sonos. For example, “Dimensione Jazz” (Italy) - if I press the play button on Sonos, won’t stream the station. But I can start the station on my phone and AirDrop it to my Sonos devices. Any idea why?
Many of my Deezer favourite albums do not appear in Sonos
I have been compiling an extensive list of favourite artists and their albums in my new Deezer app. (I have always used Apple Music in the past but wanted to stream in Flac)I have just noticed that not all of my favourites show up in my Sonos app. For example, I have 18 Dave Matthews Band albums favourited on my Deezer app but only 1 shows up on Sonos. This happens fo most of my artists. My list of favourite albums is large and may reach its Deezer limit, but surely my Deezer content should just be mirrored in Sonos? My app is run on ios. Synology DS218play as music library Error 900
I am not tech but have read some of the threads regarding problems setting up a Synology as the music library and have changed the lowest level of SMB to SMB1. My Sonos controller is on a Mac and I’m using the file path //nameofsynology/shared/music. This doesn’t work - get the error message “unable to add the shared folder //xxxx/xxx/xxx to your music library (900)”. I’ve tried all combinations of file path. I don’t input a server name and password because I don’t think I have to?? My previous Synology NAS worked fine (until it died). I’ve updated Sonos to S2 (have removed an incompatible Bridge in the process). What else can I do???? I’m just an average computer user, don’t understand most of it! Help please..
Issue with YouTube Music
I have just transferred my library to YouTube Music and I'm now having playback issues. When playing music back in the library (and only the library other music offered by YouTube plays fine}. I start getting coding errors after a minute or so and then at around the 2 minutes 50 seconds mark the music track stops and skips to the next track. Ive tested the same tracks in the YouTube Music app on my android tablet and also going back to Google Play music app within Sonos and they play normally. My diagnostic code is 495571049 SONOS S2 v12.0.2
Tidal lag for about 25 seconds when I start a new track, album, or playlist
I have two music streaming services, Tidal (lossless) and Deezer hifi. I have 5 speakers in a group. Deezer works perfect (and has for years), but I just aquired Tidal and when I start playing anything it plays on the Play1’s fine, but I get a 25 second lag until the sub and symphonic speakers kick in. Every time, it’s super annoying. I’m using S2. Any ideas?
System is hosed after library compute upgrade.
I recently upgraded to a new desktop which hosts my SONOS music library. My system is little more than a set of bricks currently, and so far three separate support chats or calls have ended up in the support person mysteriously disconnecting for no reason. I can only assume they do not want to deal with the issues, but I am increasingly frustrated as an early adopter and long time user of SONOS.Here are my issues:Music library shows the folder on the old computer that no longer exists. When I try to remove it, it simply comes right back. When I try to add a new folder to the library, the folder is never added. There are no error messages. I have tried adding the local folder and set up a network share and tried that to no avail. I have tried disabling my firewall and Malware Bytes, which also did not work, My Play:1 does not show up on the PC app at all, and says “incompatible” on my android phone app. Attempting to update from both phone and PC ends up in an error every time. Why can't I see the songs I personally upload to Soundcloud?
I uploaded a song I made into Soundcloud but it wont appear anywhere. I placed it into a playlist and made it public and still couldn’t see it. I also placed another song into the playlist that was popular and I could see that one, but my own upload did not appear. Am I missing something to listen to listen to my own songs?
Amazon Music no search results through Sonos app
I have Sonos App updated and Amazon Music unlimited. When I use the app on my phones and desktop it works perfectly. However when using the Sonos App on the laptop, when I do a search no results appear.I’ve updated the app. Reauthorised the service. Disconnected and reconnected to the network. Rebooted. Uninstalled and reinstalled all apps. Still not search results in the SOnos App when doing the same search as on the phone (yes spleed correctly).
sonos wont play TuneIn Radio
I have recently changed Wifi and have updated Sonos so it connects to the new WiFi. Problem is that since the WiFi has changed, Sonos won’t play any of my TuneIn radio stations (BBC Radio so it is still active). I have rebooted my speakers and WiFi and still can’t get the radio to work. I have a Play 1 and Play 3 speaker and same problem exists on both. I can play Apple Music no problem. Help!
Connection Lost to Google and Amazon
Lately whenever I try to play songs, stations or anything from either the iPhone app or Mac app, from either Google Music or Amazon music, I receive an error messages. Either, “Unable to play [music] - connection to Amazon Music/Google Play Music was lost” Can’t add songs to my cue Amazon song was not encoded correctly My wifi connection is strong, so it’s not a home network issue. Apple Music curated playlists not showing up in search results
Hi All, This is getting a bit frustrating. In the past, when using the Sonos app in the search->playlists section I could enter an artists name ie Powderfinger and would get results such as Powerderfinfer Essentials, Powerderfinger: Next Steps etc returned. For a few days this has not been working. Now when I run a search it seems to me that any of the Apple curated playlists are not returned in the search results, however, other playlists which are presumably created by other Apple Music users do show in the results. Does anyone know if this is a Sonos or an Apple issue? I have tried deleting and readding my account to the Sonos app. Anyone else having these issues, or know of a solution. Cheers, Duddsy
Delayed Playback on MacBook
I have a Sonos One SL connected to my MacBook Pro. When I use the desktop Sonos app, the music plays fine. However, if I want to play a video, say using You Tube, there is a 30 second sound delay. The only way around this that I have found is to change the sound to come out of my internal speakers, start the video, then click on the Sonos speaker and restart the video. Any other ideas on how to play a video with sound through the speaker in a more efficient way?
Yet ANOTHER cannot add music folder
Have circumventing a problem with SONOS app (for years) trying to get to my iTunes Media Music Library on my media server. Never was able to get it to connect and eventually just gave access to a local backup on that I was maintaining on line. That is no longer feasible, can’t keep the backup online any more.So I was trying to get the SONOS App to access the remote file share directly. Looked at prior fourm errors and saw that SMB V1 need to be enabled (not my favorite) and did that on the client (Plex01) and the Target (NAS-pc). Both are Windows 10 Home machines, and up to date.I can clearly access the Server’s files and play the media from the mapped drive (Z:) on plex01Yet when I try to add the Z: mapped folder to SONOS app on the Plex01 machine, I get the below error. never saw am issue with a folder on mapped drive on the host PC… there are no options to share a mapped folder. All accounts on this machine have FULL CONTROL to the mapped drive.The Media Server (NAS-pc) is run
Playing Spotify via Sonos results in massive latency/lag.
HiI've been Spotify-Sonos user for just over a year, running eero mesh network with Spotify playing on my sonos devices : MOVE & BEAM WITH 2 x SL’s All has been great...especially with the move outside now i have decent Wi-Fi in the garden. In the last week whenever I try and play audio from Spotify to one of my Sonos speakers it lags or doesn't play at all. If i switch to my phones audio its immediate and i can switch tracks with immediately. So some sort of lag/latency between Spotify and my relaying this to my Sonos speakers.I guess What i cant put my finger on is there has been no changes to the following : no firmware upgrade to mesh eero,no new devices or electrical devices on the networkno change in the location of the speakers. Move normally sits on dock in kitchen..eero doesn't allow a change in wifi channel. rebooted all devices / disconnected Spotify app from Sonos / uninstalled / reinstalled / cleared spotify cache Anybody got any ideas why this has just started ha
Youtube Music not playing entire Library Songs - only select few
Sorry, NOT playing entire Library Songs. The YTMusic app on Sonos offers to stream my Library’s collection of Songs but only seems to be capturing a very, very small fraction of my entire Songs collection. Is there a way to be sure and get all my Songs shuffled through on the Sono’s app? The ‘Your Mix’ option is misleading as well. It creatively mixes in new ‘recommended’ songs which I’m not interested in so that’s not a solution. I want all my Songs streaming from my LIbrary collection, please, not some limited selection. Thanks, comments please.
Sonos and Spotify issue S2, sond skip, wait time, etc.
Hello everybody,I am running into many problems with myS2 system. Please note wifi configuration is the same for a few years and never had any issues.Spotify stops playing OR repeats the song after 10-20 seconds Selecting a song or changing song takes forever, minimum5 to 10 seconds before it starts playing. Before it was instantaneous. when it starts playing it plays for a 10-20 seconds then starts again the song Support diagnostic sent is 326329251Oh and yes I have disconnected everything, rebooted the router, then turn all device back on.. also plugged the playbar to a wired network..I have the feeling S2 is not stable and ruins my sonos experience :-(anyone else having issues ?thanks cyril
Sonos keeps dropping - Spotify
I know this has been asked a hundred times but… 2x Play 1 and 1x Play 3. All wireless, no bridge. All apps up to date, connected 2.4 ghz. keeps dropping out, drives me insane. Speakers disappear and reappear seemingly at random. Speakers are close to router, don’t have any other devices such as baby monitors or cordless phones. All other WiFi working fine. Tried swapping speaker locations but still no joy. Help, why can’t I play my music?
