Hello! I use my Sonos system everyday to listen to music and LOVE the sound quality. I mostly use Sonos to listen to my Pandora stations at home, when I leave the house I pause the music (because there is no option to hit “Stop”) and close the app. I’ll get in my car and usually also listen to Pandora. Every morning when I start driving I get the notification “Someone else is listening to your Pandora account, only one listener at a time...” I then have to tell Pandora “Let me listen” and my music resumes. A few minutes go by and the same thing happens again, “Someone else is listening….”. This will happen throughout the day as I will listen periodically through most days. I have been listening to Pandora and paying for their premium service for years. I received a two room Sonos set for Christmas 2019 and I have been having this problem ever since. So my issue that i have tried to resolve but i am getting to the point of just scrapping this play 1.   When playing from spotify its comes up saying the account is being used elsewhere and pauses the music, we know for a fact that it is not being played elsewhere and this only happens when the play 1 is being used.   My setup is 2x beams 2x ikea lamps 2x ikea bookshelf Playbar Sub Play 1   I can play music on any device except for the play 1, i can group any together without issue however if i play on the play 1 or add the play 1 to a group playing with any other speaker then the nusic starts pausing, its driving me mad   My playbar is connected to my router so i am opperating on sonosnet and the play 1 does this no matter where it is located which leads me to belive its not signal related.   Any advice on what to try? Can i hard reset the play 1 and hope its just a glitch?

I have created a diagnostic report, 122658598, within about 5 minutes of the spotify service dropping. It only drops for a brief moment, skips a song, and then it’s fine again for another half hour or so. Appreciate any help you can offer! Thanks, Chris   Edit: I rebooted my router and changed the channel to 6. I will create another diagnostic if spotify drops out again.

I just took delivery of a Sonos Play 5 and a Pro-Jett Essential III turntable and the volume coming from the turntable is unacceptable. Yes I have checked the connections. Yes I have gone into the app and adjusted the line in settings.  I have all of the settings set to max volume for the turntable and I get low background levels of sound. If I switch to streaming music I have to lower the volume or be blown out of the room.  Sadly if I can’t get this resolved I will ship back the entire order      

Hello,I am playing music through the new Sonos app on my iPhone using the music add-on called “Anghami”. Everything was running perfectly until yesterday afternoon when I got: “unable to play XXX - access is denied”. I have uninstalled the Anghami add-on and linked it again with no success. Can you please advise?Best,Samer.

I have a WD MyCloud NAS on which I store Music ripped from my CD collection. Until recently it has updated satisfactorily when I have added new CDs. However this has stopped working. Using my Android MyCloud app I can see the new folders and content on the NAS but when I update my index on my Android app the new folders do not appear. When I go Settings > Music Library > Update Music Library Now > Scan Now I get Updating Index in gray and Compilation Albums updating in gray but after the process is finished the added CDs do not appear in the index.

So I woke up this morning to the dreaded SONOS bong, as BBC Radio 4 through SONOS Radio was not working. I changed it to TuneIn and it played. Later BBC Radio 6 suffered the same problem, and was cured in the same way. Is this a widespread problem? Is there a solution?

Hello When I use Sonos to play Spotify Playlists, most songs play correctly, but every few songs it will cut out halfway though the song and immediately skip to the next song on the playlist. It doesn’t appear to happen when I play an album from Spotify (or at least I haven’t noticed it doing). I have tried restarting my router which hasn’t fixed the issue. Recently noticed issues with Spotify skipping songs and showing “Song not encoded correctly” errors.  But when I manually play the song it works.   Other discussion threads suggest this could be a network issue.  Here is my setup: Verizon Fios, 1 Gbps fiber Verizon router with wifi off Eero pro (x3) in bridge mode Sonos Amp is WIRED to a Gbps switch coming off the router All other Sonos devices are wireless (Using SonosNet) SonosNet was using channel 11, and when I did a network scan I could see a fair amount of other networks on channels 1 and 11 so I switched SonosNet to channel 6 but it didn’t help. My Verizon router and my Eero system are all using “vanilla” configurations.  I don’t mess around with the firewall, port forwarding, etc. Suggestions?  

Hi- I have a system that includes two Play 5s, a Play 3, five Play 1s and a bridge.  I can almost always stream music from online stations with no problem.  But my efforts to play my own music have been a disaster for quite some time.  I technically have the ability to play my music library (all of which is in FLAC format), but I rarely can make it through an entire album without buffering problems that cause the system to stop and then skip the track.  The problems are even worse now with the Covid-related national slowdown in internet performance. Admittedly, my system has not been advanced.  It’s consisted of trying to stream my music stored on external hard drives, a desk top, a laptop and a tablet (I’ve tried all of those separately).  Nothing has worked. I’ve read a number of posts about NAS drives, and am wondering if connecting an NAS directly to my router, my bridge or my 1st gen Play 5 would solve the problem.  But every time I try to find a solution, I feel like I’m just

Hi there. Since adding new devices and upgrading to S2 over the weekend, I keep getting “connection to Spotify was lost”. Sometimes it works for a while and then just stops. Always at the point where it’s trying to start playing a song - I never get errors when browsing spotify and songs seem to finish playing once started. A couple of key points based on questions asked to other people with similar issues: Spotify is working on all other devices in the house Streaming from my NAS and my Amazon account seems to work fine I’m running a fully wireless Sonos setup but was previously using a wired Bridge with S1 The Orbi router is set so that all Sonos devices are “unmanaged” to avoid any network blocking It was being particularly on/off earlier to I uploaded a diagnostic: 233855799 Thanks, Mark  

Since yesterday, when I try to start the Radio Paradise Main Mix radio station it appears to try (play changes to stop briefly) but then fails.The station is on Sonos Radio, and is one of my favourites. I looked in more detail today and the other Radio Paradise mixes are working. I removed and re-added the favourite, but that hasn’t helped. If I go to the Radio Paradise website, all the streams are playing fine there. Any ideas?

Upgraded to S2 on my Android, Thumbs up down disappeared.  Can Add Song to Sonos Playlist but no option for thumbs down.

Hi, I added ‘MyTuner Radio’ service to my Sonos account. I found a radio station within the service: ‘Радио ENERGY (Radio NRJ Moscow)’  (https://mytuner-radio.com/radio/radio-energy-radio-nrj-moscow-396785/). Everything worked fine for approximately a month, but now every time I try to listen to this station - I see ‘Local radio’ message and radio stream doesn’t work.  The station fails to play on all my Sonos audio devices. I tried to reboot my router, my smartphone and my Sonos Bridge device, but nothing helped. Could you please check and explain what’s wrong? It seems, that ‘MyTuner Radio’ service still maintains this station. Other ‘MyTuner Radio’ stations work perfectly. Thanks in advance!

I've just set up 2 x OneSL and 1 X Beam (brand new). Setup went fine and I can play music via the Sonos app. In the Spotify app on my Galaxy S20 though, I can see the Sonos speakers but when I select them Spotify says "connecting" for a few minutes then fails.  All devices are on the same wifi network and I can control the system from the Sonos app on the same S20. I just can't get Spotify to play through the speakers. I've tried resetting the router, turning the speakers off/on, rebooting my phone, same result. Both apps and speaker firmware are updated. Looking at others posting about similar problems, none of the suggested steps seem to work.    Diagnostics: 9728450

I can't find Sonos Wi-Fi speakers in the "Devices Available" list. Other devices (ie. Google Home, Chromecast) are displayed correctly. Other apps (eg. Google Play Music) correctly show all my Sonos speakers. I can play Spotify music directly from the Sonos app, but I can't do the opposite, cast Spotify music from the Spotify app to Sonos speakers, since the speakers are not listed. I have a Spotify Premium account. The accounts are correctly linked, I tried several times to re-authorize Spotify account from the sonos app, with no luck. I have a premium account with Spotify and use an iphone (ios v 13.5.1) to control my ZP90 and Connect:AMP. When I attempt to add Spotify to my Sonos services, Sonos connects with Spotify and is successfully authorised however when Sonos then attempts to add the Spotify account it receives an error.  All was working fine up until about two weeks ago.  I have tried all the suggested solutions of rebooting routers, deleting and reloading Sonos and Spotify etc all to no avail.   Streaming Spotify through my Airport Express and using the Sonos Line In facility works okay.   Can anyone throw some light on how to fix my problem?  I assume I should still be able to add a premium  Spotify account to my Sonos S1 services.  I can certainly add other services to Sonos S1.

Unable to import all my previous iTunes playlists into Sonos Imported Playlist. I have read a great deal about how to do this, so please do not direct me to this information, I need info of what to do when it does not work.  I have imported some playlist from My Music Library location but are missing some playlists. I have also in Apple Music exported Playlists to a .m3u file then directed Sonos to that file in Sonos’s Controller on my Apple Mac not forgetting to Update the Music Library. Nothing works in that I do not see all the playlists that I see in Apple Music. I have restarted the Sonos app and the MAC computer, still no joy. Any further relevent help would be much appreciated. Playing through an original Connect to my standalone stereo system. While playing a playlist or favorited album, about 10 seconds into a track, playback stops, there is an error that the *next* track can't be played because connection to Spotify was lost, and playback resumes with the one following that. If I tap on the first track in this sequence of three, it resumes playing flawlessly. This never happens with the first song in the queue. Since the third track in the sequence always plays fine, or the first one if I select it, this seems to rule out a legitimate network or wifi error?

Having made the reluctant move from Google Play Music to Youtube Music, I have found the Sonos search results for YTM quite poor.   The search results for GPM included your library. For me, this result was much more useful than the general search result (which often includes loads of singles and remixes that I’ve no interest in). For YTM is does not seem to search my library.   Even if I browse the YTM service and look directly at my library, the album list is both incomplete and in an unhelpful order (the order that I added them to YTM).   Are there any settings that I’m missing that’ll make YTM search more usable in the Sonos App?

Can anybody support help me with Spotify playback issues? Since the S2 update it has generally been ok, but today I’m experience tracks randomly skipping shortly after playback, and some skip completely and never attempt to play. Playback initiated via the Sonos S2 app. 

This station can no longer be played on Sonos via Tunein or Sonos Radio. Why?

I have listened to Swiss Jazz on Sonos for many years. In the last week or so the station does not connect, the play symbol returning to stop after a second or two. Other stations are fine. Has Swiss Jazz been removed from Sonos? If not, any suggestions? Yes I have tried switching off the router and Sonos.
