This is a recent problem for me. I can play music from my Spotify app on my Sonos speaker but not podcasts. I’ve deleted and reinstalled both apps. The message I get is ‘can’t connect to device right now’ when I try listen to a podcast but music is ok. Any advice hugely appreciated. I’m connecting from my iPhone.

Try removing Spotify from your music services in the Sonos app and re-adding it.

Podcasts from Spotify are not supported on Sonos at the time of writing. Don’t worry, it’s not something wrong with your system or something you’re doing wrong.

We’ll be sure to pass your interest on to our development teams though ultimately it’s up to Spotify what content they provide to their Sonos implementation, so I’d also recommend letting them know you’d like to see this feature.
