Controllers and Music services

I downloaded the latest, redesigned Sonos app for my iPhone 12 only to find it is missing some of my favorite features. After searching for an artist tracks and selecting “add to queue” then searched for another artist’s tracks and looking for “add to end of queue” it is missing. Anyone else think this should be added back?

Anyone having trouble adding new services since the app upgrade.Keeps asking me to sign in and out again but wants add anything new

After the last sonos update the mobile app /sonos controller stop working.System keep on asking for system update → Start update → Searching for updates → You have the last version of the sonos system and then system comes back to “Start update” and I can´t use my system anymore…I can´t restore the app to the old version eitherMobile device: Samsung Galaxy S21(Android).SONOS what is happening, when do you intend to solve this problem, I am seriously considering leaving SONOS once and for all despite having invest to much into this system - the last years it has become worse and worse / Mattias

After nearly a week I still can't access my local library the app doesn't bring up that stuff I don't understand why you would release an app that's so incomplete I hate to go buy a car that didn't have a radio and was missing three tires and have the salesman say well at some point you'll get them

every time I try to update and my Sonos, one speakers which have worked flawlessly for many years to the new app, the app crashes. I’ve tried reinstalling the app. I’ve tried logging off the Wi-Fi re-logging on. I’ve tried to number of standard operating procedure attempted fixes to no avail, any advice on how to resolve this issue would be most appreciated 

Queue has gone for Library and Spotify. Takes courage to remove such basic functionality. 

I have the app update and it hosed my existing system.  I have an arc, a sub, and two one speakers for rears. The only speaker I can access it the arc now. I cannot add the other speakers back to my system. I reset the rears and they will not add. The app connects to the Sonos network and attempts to add to my network but I get some error to use an ethernet cable. Is this the only solution? It’s not my speed. I have a download speed of 300 Mbps. Is there documentation anywhere for this? I didn’t have this issue with the old app (I’m sure you’ve heard this) but seriously, what can I do to fix this?

I have just spent two days on and off to find the Alarms and Sleep timer?Should come to this page first, to say I am not happy is an understatement 😡

Having trouble playing streaming radio (MyTuner) and Spotify albums won't display. It keeps saying " something went wrong" without any support. Any advice? This new update is awful.Thanks!

I have two amps set up on my system.One powering ceiling speakers for my garage. One powering my outdoor speakers. How do I choose what ones I want to use and when and what I want played on them. Any time I log onto my app. It just randomly picks one of the amps. So.etimes it's the one I want sometimes not.  Tylet

Okay, All my Music Library, Podcast, recently played info is GREY, not showing on my phone app.

The new mobile app does not show my subsonic music service on my network. Now I can’t access my library from my iOS or android phones. It only works on the new desktop controller app.

I think most of us agree the new Sonos (v80) app is lacking key features that were on the prior version.After some trial & error I was able to get the prior S2 (Gold) app reinstalled because I had a manual backup of my iPhone on my computer.The steps I used were:Make sure your manual backup was done before the new (v 80, black) Sonos app was installed on your device; Erase your iPad/iPhone and perform a restore from the backup that’s on your PC; Once the device restarts for the first time you need to immediately disable auto updates and downloads for apps (Settings, App Store). This is an important step otherwise you’ll get the new app installed again.. Let your device complete the app installs.The process took about an hour but I’m happy now that I got the prior S2 app reinstalled..  Good luck. 

Unless you want to lose all features and functionality to your system, DO NOT UPDATE!!  Latest update is absolute trash!!  List of issues so far:Music services will all have to be redone No easy access to Tone settings Mute function gone Switching from TV Audio to Music fails and completely broken Playlists gone what happened to Sonos Radio search function fails for 50% of services volume control for grouped speakers went from 1 click to multiplei just don’t understand how the hell Sonos thought this was an improvement.  Just roll back already

Since the new app launch I only see my wife's playlists and cannot figure out how to switch to mine. Anybody able to point me in the right direction? The new app is a disaster but I feel like I'm just not seeing how to do this and this is probably my fault.

The new app: nice look but worst experience ever!​​​​Basic functions are missing. How on earth is it possible, that Sonos rolls out an app that feels like a pre-alpha version?Best marketing for competitors!Roll back to the old one!!! Wait with releases until EVERYTHING works properly!!!

Alarm settings are not in new app. My alarm start every morning but there is no way to manage it anymore! What do you suggest?

This is the worse update ever. I know this is a silly and perhaps useless question, but is there another sound app that could be used other than SONOS? 

Good day, I so wish I hadn't installed the new app. I am unable to play my artist music mix having installed the new app on my android phone. Fortunately I haven't installed it on my iPad so I can still play artist music mix from there. My subscription service is Deezer. Has anyone else had this issue? Any solution would be most welcome. Thank you 

Hello I also faced the (in)famous “allow access to local network” error mentioned in several reddit/sonos community questionsThe new app is trying to reach msmetrics.ws.sonos.com, a subdomain blacklisted by various ad blockers. White-listing this subdomain solved it for me. The app should fail gracefully on telemetry issues, I hope Sonos fix it in a future release. Enjoy your music !Mat

I’ve just updated the sonos app on my iphone. only a select few of my playlists have transferred across  im panicking  how do i retrieve my playlists from old version of app

Constantly trying to reauthorise my sonos radio account on the new (rubbish) app, have signed out and signed back in, still won't let me....

Since using the new app, my Sonos system is uncontrollable.  My home theatre systems do not come on with the TV, I can’t control the music on the speakers, the volumes or the queues.  I keep getting error messages that “something went wrong”.  It shows music playing in certain rooms and I can’t find a way to stop it on the app.Any help is appreciated!

I have updated my Sonos IOS app to version 80.00.04 and have noticed that the search function no longer appears to search my Music Library (NAS drive). It only search online music services (Spotify, Amazon, BBC Sounds, etc).Has this functionality been withdrawn ? Has anyone else noticed, been affected ?The only way to play from a Music Library now appears to be through manual browse and selection.A detrimental loss of functionality !
