Controllers and Music services

I have downloaded the new app.  On my IPhone I can get to my Playlists by clicking the arrow on Sonos Favorites.  On my IPad, when I click the arrow on Sonos Favorites nothing happens. I have tried deleting the app and reinstalling it but the same thing happens.  Any suggestions on a fix?

I  can‘t find my Sonos favorites in the controller, I can‘t open the link⁉️ What is wrong there❓Thanks vor your help  - Hermann

Hi, the new App isn’t able to control my system.  The only way we can adjust volume now is via either the TV remote or the Sky remote volume buttons.  Sliding the app volume does nothing.  Mute doesn’t work nor does Night Mode or the voice enhance.  The chat bot doesn’t understand the question and my shifts don’t allow for me telephoning.   Any help greatly appreciated.   Steve 

When are you going to fix the app. No song display, sound levels won’t change and can’t switch the music off.  Or go back to the app that was working perfectly well.  Poor show Sonos

Please tell me why I should not feel another system to replace my entire SONOS hardware? The latest update is an absolute joke. IT DOESNT EFFING WORK 😡😡😡

I have been having connection problem with my system so waited for new app. Now when it says I need a software update, I’m asked to log out and owner to login. I press start update and I see a flash of the login page then screen returns to ask for sign in: system owner. How do I break this cycle? Despite deleting app and reloading it continues to loop. If I log in thru  web page I see my devices. Any assistance would be appreciated. 

I changed my apple password. Works great on apple. But when I try adding Apple Music to sonos, I get a ‘problem has occurred’ message.

How do I search for songs by title?  I can’t did it for YouTube Music or prime music  Amazon music only artist and stations appear.  

I have read the threads regarding connecting Sonos to a Synology NAS. It seems that everyone can connect via adding a path to the music library. I have the Media Server application on my Synology, and my Windows PC can see it as a media server. However, my Sonos app does not see it as a media server. My Sonos app does see my Windows Media Server, though. Does the Sonos app support media servers on NAS? It appears that several people have found alternate solutions such as using Plex. I prefer not to use a workaround.

In the previous version of the app, there was a selection on audio compression compressed uncompressed and auto. Is this selection available in the new app? I don’t see it anywhere.

I can see this has been asked many times but I've yet to find an answer that solves my issue.I have an Amazon playlist of around 900 songs and growing.This playlist shuffles with no issues on my phone, however not via Sonos When start Sonos either via the app or Alexa I only have access to 500 songs and they don't shuffle properly. There are a fraction of songs which continually shuffle, but most never do.if I shuffle via Amazon and connect to Sonos, I apparently have access to the entire playlist, but again only they same few songs play again and again.I've refreshed music, deleted Amazon and reinstalled and the same with the Sonos app.I love my Sonos system but this is doing my head in.I really don't want to change music streaming platform, but do any other platforms work better?Many thanks ​​​​​​

By this you have frustrated a lot of previously happy users. Me one of them.Why did you do that?In the IT-Business it is normal to launch new (replacement) software after development, after fully testing, with usually the functionality of the old software mostly remaining.You chose not to. Why?You chose to only reinstall Music Services but not the local library function.Why? Are your customers who have great pleasure in their music library’s not important enough?From a marketing point of view this is all very strange of you. Recently moved so setting up Sonos on new network.  Some of our speakers (Beam, Move) we added with no issues.  All our other speakers (another Beam, 5’s, 1’a, subwoofer) have been added to our network successfully.  I can see them in the Sonos iPhone app - they show as  “not registered”.  They will not register with Sonos and I get the error message “There was a problem adding your Sonos 5 to your system. Try again later.” . Any suggestions beyond resetting everything to factory settings or unplugging my router (all have been done several times with no success). appreciated. 

To sonos management -  i cannot now play my music library through sonos (the only reason i have a sonos speaker system)   You wiped it from the sonos controller with an update and now i get error 913 when i try to restore.Unbelievable shoddy work.please come onto this community blog and advise me and everybody else in this position when you will correct this monumental cockup.Alternatively expect a massive exodus of Sonos users. 

I use my Sonos app on an Android phone. The new Sonos app doesn't appear to have a navigation function to allow me to go forwards or backwards while I'm listening to audio books in my Audible (Australia) library.

Please, Sonos, the mobile app should immediately play a Sonos favorite when I click on it! Why does it bring up another page on which I have to press play? If it’s a favorite, probably safe to assume I want it to play when I click on it.

Sonos, your new app is not at all intuitive and feels like a marketing committee’s attempt to smash all of the relevant things into whatever THEY felt was “cool” Do you have a way to roll back the UI to the old version?  I play certain playlists every night and one of them is a playlist I put on for my boys, every night.  The Sonos Playlist is now two layers deep, and not even listed alphabetically.Seriously.  What is wrong with you people?! You’ve taken it upon yourselves to make the app completely dysfunctional from a UX perspective. What a mess.

Does anyone know where this feature is on the new app? Sonos are yet to update their guidline and documentation.  the new feature play.sonos is causing havoc, 

I sent an email to ceo@sonos.com and got a reply. This was the same defensive reply as others have received.So I replied outlining why this did not really address my concerns.I have just received a reply to my reply and it is basically the same text as the reply that I expressed my concerns to.They really are not listening all they are doing is sending the same PR message.

My radio stations have disapeared. I found some instructions to add a URL manually which I did. It says it should now be in “my radio stations” in TuneIn.   There is no “my radio stations” in TuneIn.Can anyone point me to real instructions that work.Is this a fault with TuneIn, or have Sonos screwed things up again?

It’s the new App. It’s appalling. Hard to navigate, slow to load. My speakers have stopped playing in stereo. Sometimes the next song in the playlist plays, sometimes it doesn’t.  At last I can see my favourites and Apple Music but loading is slow and painful.  Come on Sonos. What has happened to make you ditch a good app for one that will not meet basic requirements. Timescales please.
