Controllers and Music services

I’m trying to setup TruePlay on my 5.1 system which includes an Arc, the Sub and two Era surround speakers.  The TruePlay process runs through to completion on my iPhone but when I go back into the system the settings appear not be have been saved.I’ve run a couple of other tests.  If I remove the Era 300s from the 5.1 system and set them up as a stereo pair TruePlay works on both individual systems: Arc+Sub & Era 300 stereo pair.The problem is therefore when I merge all four items into one 5.1 system.Is this a known issue?Does anyone have any ideas on how this can be resolved?

Trying to install a new Sonos Beam.  At first, the app recognized the Beam.  Once I connected the Beam to WiFi, though, the app stopped recognizing the Beam.   I can see that the Beam is connected to wifi currently, but it’s like it never existed on the App.  I cannot get the Beam connected as a result.  I reset the app, reset the Beam, reset the router.  Nothing changed.    any suggestions?  Thank you. 

I upgraded from S1 to S2 and am very sorry I did. S2 doesn’t load and when it does, it will fall off quickly. I was listening to music yesterday and couldn’t shut it off because the S2 app just spun and spun and didn’t load. I never had an issue with S1. But Sonos has made it very difficult to simply use S1. Any solutions other than switching to Bose?

Maybe it's time to curtail the music library complaints and accept where the controller app is headed. My guess as to the near-future Sonos preferred customer implementation:A mobile device with bluetooth capability A streaming service on the mobile device A robust Sonos controller app on the device Sonos brand output devices (headphones or portable speakers)There will be a steady roll out of improved and expanded capabilities of the app and the devices and the preferred customer will be a trend-motivated early adopter of the latest consumer tech gadgets who doesn't mind owning previously purchased products that have been discontinued and subsequently unsupported.Just my guess.

I recently purchased a used Sonos amp and having connected to it last month through the Sonos app it is no longer working.when I log into the Sonos app to try and reconnect the amp the app gives me a message advising I need to login as the owner?

I’m having a weird issue with the new Sonos app. Since upgrading it now shows my Sonos system twice (one in a black window; the other grey. Photos attached). I only have one system, but it appears to have been installed twice (?) It usually works, but when I use it, it starts playing in one room (Back deck) and won’t connect to the others (Living room, Kitchen). If I try the “other system” it eventually connects, but I often lose volume control. I often have to go back and forth between the two systems this way. The controller display also often “sticks” on the first song played, meaning if I play, say, a Stones album it stays showing the first song from the album. If I play a new album or playlist, the same first Stones song is displayed (although it will play new music).Some background: I have two newer Sonos Amps and one Connect Amp. One of the newer amps is connected to “Kitchen”; one new amp is connected to “Living room” and the Connect:Amp is goes to “Back deck”. My sys

LiveOne is my main music streaming service and it no longer works with the new app.I can access LiveOne through the Sonos app, and can see station selections and favorites, but when choosing to play a station, a message appears “something went wrong”. I already tried disconnecting the LiveOne service and reconnecting, reauthorizing, uninstalling and reinstalling the LiveOne app, etc.Please fix this, you have taken away my music!

Hi.just got the beam gen 2 - but i cannot add it to my system. It says not registered, lets fix it. Plays the chime, then i press the button at the back as instructed, and then it says “adding beam to system” then fails after couple of mins. Im using the latest version of iphone app ive reset everything router, phone, beam. I cant get hold of anyone, live chat i go up in the queue not down.  completely at a loss of what to do, if they hide all features behind an app it needs to be absolutely faultless. does anyone have any ideas? it not i guess ill have to return it which is a shame, as it sounds/looks amazing    Thanks in advancelouis 

Trying to respond, long time Sonos, 10 devices, new app is terrible.   Crashes, errors, and cant use it to find what was obvious.   Way to kill Sonos!

Since 3 years i have sonos one devices and never had any problems for installation. Hi, I have done a search but can’t find this being discussed anywhere so I hope this is ok.Since the release of the disastrous new mobile app I have been using my desktop controller to control my system (as I am streaming a local library from a NAS) until such time as Sonos restore the functionality that was previously available. However, I have noticed that since the release of the new mobile app, certain functions of the desktop controller have also stopped working, such as volume control and equalizer. Has anybody else experienced this problem. If so, have you found a way around it? Has Sonos said anything. Will it be fixed alongside the mobile app issues.This really has been a spectacular own goal by Sonos. I only hope everything gets back to normal soon and they learn from this catastrophic episode. Just me then… Moderator edit: combined posts

After I had to upgrade to latest Sonos App (Android phone and tablet), I can no longer access my Deezer streaming service on my Sonos system. It tells me to install Sonos 2, but that never worked for my system, and has disappeared so I cannot download anymore. Is there anything I can do other than change my music streaming service (I’d rather not)?

HelloI purchased a Sonos Era 100 yesterday, and it seemed to work fine. However, occasionally Spotify won't be able to find the speaker in the Spotify App. If I reboot my phone it will appear but I don't think I should have to do that.There doesn't seem to be a pattern, if I'm able to find the device immediately after rebooting my phone, 30 minutes to an hour later it will stop appearing. The same thing happens if I power cycle the speaker.Doesn't seem to be permissions, anything else I might have missed? I have unlinked and relinked my spotify/sonos accounts through the app.

I really miss not being able to control group volume, by room, independent of overall group volume. In the new update there are multiple steps to follow just to change volume individually in each room!! Also, the ability to mute any single room isn't there anymore??!!  The only option there is to remove that room from the group  that doesn't make any sense!! The new update is disappointing for this reason, but not this reason alone. I wonder what was the underlying reason to take that ability away?? 

Sonos is showing I have the latest app but I can no longer find artists or albums of any type using the search bar in their app.

Why did I lose access to my personal media library when the software was updated??How do I reconnect my personal media library??? 😥

Hi Guys i have spoken to the help desk multiple times and got no we’re. i have purchased 9 x Sonos One SL and cannot get any to connect thru the Sonos app at all and about to return them so this is my last effort as so far it’s a s*** experience  I have tried to connect to 4 diffrent routers and 4 diffrent phones with no luck and even the Ethernet port….. I get to the paring screen add wifi password than unable to connect.  can u please help I keep getting told the speakers trying to update but it cannot update  Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.Moderator edit: combined posts

Glad (in a way) that’s it’s not just me finding current and previous Sonos software versions are horrendously poor.  Is there any QA performed? Does anyone have a plan with where the software is heading? Does anyone there even give a crap any more?
