Controllers and Music services

Updated internet that had Sonos system and now is saying it equipment needs an update. I click update and app says update failed with no error code. (Help not available)I am assuming equipment is too old for new software. Can I bypass update and use as is? It is now stuck in a loop saying needs an update-won’t update. 

Every morning, the Sonos app shows no services. I have to re-add my Apple Music subscription, and I now have eight Apple Music profiles in the Sonos app (all with the same apple ID). Sonos Radio disappears too and comes back when Apple Music is re-added.  How can I make Apple stay? I was hoping to expand my setup, but it won’t be worth it if I have to add my services every day. 

tune-in radio series are a constant issue with dropouts, disconnecting to service and reliability - there are conversations and questions regarding this issue on this support chat that go back a number of years yet the issues remain the same and are unresolved. the service is not compatible with Sonos and should be removed - and this will remove the frustration.

Setting up/transitioning preexisting player and connect amp system in new home, and I keep getting Not Connected. The system has worked on and off, but I can’t seem to get it reliably connected and usable on my network. I have mesh wifi and ethernet. I have connect amp connected via Ethernet and playbar connected via WiFi, or at least that has worked previously. Now when attempting to use the system I get the Nit Connected and when attempting to Update Network in System Settings, it sees the devices, but keeps telling me I need to do a Factory reset on the devices, which I have now down 2-3 times on each device. Help! 

Why do I have to pause between certain actions for them to take effect correctly when using the latest android app?I was editing the queue yesterday and noticed that if I deleted entries in quick succession several would simply reappear whereas if I paused and counted to 2 between my delete requests they would all be removed as expected.It seems the performance of these new apps still needs a lot of work.the windows version is a joy to use by comparison, fast, responsive, logical and clear as to what’s its doing. (all system and apps at latest available versions as of today.)

I’ve had Sonos for 3 years, I’ve never been able to alphabetize scrolling or search through my Tidal Playlists. Is that available now, and how do I find it? 

I can add a playlist to the queue once that playlist is playing I want to add another playlist to the queue. I go to anI go to a playlist and choose add to the end of queue and it says unable to add to the queue.

Is it possible to find a worse piece of software than Sonos desktop? Once again mine has stopped working, terrible stuff.

Is this a political isssue? A sonus issue that will be fixed? Or something else? Until this morning my pbs stations have playing well on my speakers for a long time  

Hello, the problem I’m reporting here is probably the same as one already reported into this community a while ago (in 2021). For reference, you can look to this thread from 2021 that was unfortunately discontinued.In short, the problem is as simple as he is (very) annoying. In Spotify, when the user flag a song as licked, the song is automatically added to the list of “Liked Songs” (see the capture I made in my Spotify app that show my current Licked songs list. When I select Sonos as the output for the sound from my iPhone, it is impossible to play any of the song that is into this list. Would it be a Spotify bug, I would not be able to play songs when I listen to a bluetooth headset. Yes, it not run only when I stream from my smartphone to my Sonos system. It is the same problem while I stream from Spotify from one Android Smartphone. I precise that my entire Sonos system is up to date as well as I own the very latest generation of Sonos system (Arc Ultra, 2 Era 300 and one Sub 4).W

The entire day my app can’t play anything through the Sonos app. Doesn’t matter which service I try I get an error message saying “could not connect to the server”  This is just another in the endless number of issues with the app. Yes I have restarted everything a few times.

I have used VLC to create an M3U playlist of 10 songs from my NAS, Sonos can see the playlist and will allow me to put the playlist on the queue (I’m using the PC controller) but the queue shows the songs in a weird format and if I try to play them I get a message saying the share //192.168.50.90/multimedia does not exist. This is weird because that address is the one that the Sonos music library folder is attached to in settings.The first few lines of the M3U are below:-#EXTM3U#EXTINF:176,10cc - Good Morning JudgeCds2/10cc/Deceptive%20Bends/Good%20Morning%20Judge.flac#EXTINF:169,10cc - Honeymoon With B Troop.flacCds2/10cc/Deceptive%20Bends/Honeymoon%20With%20B%20Troop.flac The songs appear on the queue as Good%20Morning%20Judge.flac and Honeymoon%20With%20B%20Troop.flac Anybody any ideas what’s wrong. All i Wanted to do was use an easier program to create a playlist of my own music and then be able to play that in Sonos.

Is there a way to add Everand app to Sonos content services? It’s a great audiobook app. 

From the "Now playing" screen, when you touch at the bottom, the speakers playing in the group show first followed by speakers that are not playing. If you slide finger up to see the speakers lower in the list everything is fine. If you slide down to head towards the top of the list, the entire screen disappears and reveals whatever screen was behind it. To get back to that point where you can adjust the volume, you have to go through several taps.  This behavior can be very frustrating because sometimes it will scroll while other times, it will slide away . There is an "Apply" button at the bottom of the volume adjustment screen so in my opinion, we should be required to hit the "Apply" button when we are done and the screen should not disappear when we are simply trying to scroll back up to the top. Is there a way to mandate hitting the "Apply" button when you are done and otherwise keeping the screen there regardless of how you scroll?

every time I use Sonos it takes forever to load up. response on functions is slow, especially volume control / pause / play. It keeps losing the names on my amps and goes back to default. it’s never been as bad as it Is now on performance. The app design itself - still waiting for something great to happen. 

Hi there,I have a Premium Family Spotify account. I log into my daughter’s Spotify account on Sonos before she plays music using a voice command with Alexa but that music still appears in my own recent listening history on my own Spotify account.Why is this? Is there anything I can do stop this happening / affecting my Spotify algorithm?Thanks,James

I have an individual Apple music subscription. On my apple devices, I can view the Library, which shows, albums, playlists, artists etc. On the sonos app, I have added apple music as a service, I can play music etc, but can not view any of the library content, I get the error message “No items available”I have spoken to sonos support, and removed the service and re-authorised etc, with no change.Sonos support asked if I have a family subscription, but I only have an individual subscription, why would I need a family subscription, it is my sonos setup and only me uses it?

After using Sonos music system, when I turn on our TV in our great room, the TV sound is broadcast to 7 other rooms in our house.  How do I effectively prevent TV sound in each of the other rooms? 

I purchased a FLAC encoded music album. Unfortunately, the sample rate is 96k. I’ve resampled the music to 44.1k using VLC media player.What I’m finding is that each of the resampled songs (files) play on my SONOS system. But the files are not linked together as an album. Also, the album artwork is not associated with the music files.Any suggestions as to what I did wrong and/or what I should do?Thx,Marty

My current music library is stored on a WD My Passport and requires to be connected to my computer all the time for me to access my music on my SONOS speakers which is a real pain.  Is it worth investing in a home networked device (NAS drive) if so does anyone have any suggestions of what to look for.  My computer uses windows 11.

I have recently converted my music folder from MP4 to M3 and it is stored on my PC Windows 10.Thispc/music/MP3 On setting the new pathway it has solved most problems but a lot of the tracks on Sonos playlists still show as MP4 (even though there is only one pathway to the MP3 folder)  Some tracks on the playlists  play some do not.Have I missed something? Deleting and updating the playlists works but would take forever 

Not a major issue but I’m sure you used to be able to thumbs up and down tracks while listening to a playlist from Amazon music.Tapping thumbs down would skip the track and gave a message saying something along the lines of “we won’t play this track again”.Tapping thumbs up would give a message saying something like “we will play more like this”In the app currently, tapping thumbs up or down simply skips the current track?Is this on a list somewhere of issues to be fixed? ThanksGeoff

Why is the topic of Sonos radio discontinued? This is a problem Sonos must address to its customers. I don’t want it therefore I should be able to remove it from my choices. Unless I’m mistaken it’s the default station on my Sonos. Since I’m unable to remove it can I at least change the default setting? I was a Bose customer for years and just recently replaced my Bose with Sonos. Maybe I should have gone with LG, Vizio or some other brand that let me utilize my setup as I see fit. This really is unacceptable ☹️.

Airplay2 from iTunes (Windows) and Roon does not work on Arc Ultra and Era Speakers. (Other Sonos products is working well.)Playback appears to start, but the seek-bar remains stuck and no sound is produced.(Factory reset of speakers, and restart router did not work)

Short version:Since the latest software drop my Spotify Playlist alarm has stopped working and is replaced by the HATED Sonos Chime.  I have tried deleting and re-creating the alarm, changing the playlist. When managing alarms via the Android App and Windows App (not the Web App) I get odd results. Anyone else experiencing this? Longer version: I have a 20-player Sonos setup that includes a pair of Sonos Play: 1s in the bedroom.  I have had an alarm set in the morning for years that plays a Spotify playlist that has been saved to Sonos Favourites. These players have been problematic since the App debacle with typically a 10-20s delay for them to respond when controlled via the Android app (Open App - Select “Bedroom” - Zone displays with a volume of -1 and “No Content” - wait 10-20s - Zone updates with actual volume and actual content). However up until the last software drop the alarm functioned with no problem. Now it seems that whatever I do, instead of playing the selected music, t
