Hi - I must be missing something, because it’s not even possible that one can’t simply save an existing queue as a playlist!  Right?  So somebody please tell me what I’m missing, must be in front of my face, no?

Thanks.

Saving the queue is still enabled in the macOS / Windows app though.

From the Now Playing screen, tap the Queue in the lower left.

From there, tap the three dots to get the menu.

From there, tap Add to Sonos Playlist.

From there, tap New Playlist.

Fill in the new playlist name and tap Done.

Alas, saving the (entire) playing queue as a Sonos playlist has yet to return.

Hmmm, correct.  I should’ve tested in with more than one song in the queue.  Sorry about that OP.

Ah, I got excited when I saw jgatie’s first post lol!!  😄

Fortunately, I have a MacBook on which I never updated so I still have the old tan Sonos app on which I can do all the great things that we can no longer do on the “update,” so I can resort to that.  But would be nice if I could do it on my phone and other devices as well.

Thanks all.

@Alan Mann, The macOS app has not got new features for years. “Saving the queue” is still there, in S1 and S2.

If you have very large Queues and Playlists you’ll notice that that the phone/pad controllers will not load the complete list.

A couple recent posts suggest that there are also rounding errors in the Queue loading. For example only 400 tracks of a 408 track Queue are loaded. Another user noted that his large Playlist was truncated at 40,000 tracks.

The desktop apps can still do it, as can many third party apps (eg mine, see profile).

The mobile apps cannot because I think Sonos laid off the only engineers capable of porting the queue-save code to their new API.
