This business of trying to blame everything that’s not working with your Sonos on the S2 App refresh is getting out of hand. Missing features are a legitimate concern and should be brought to the attention of Sonos. However, there are other areas being thrown into the fray that are not warranted. Here are three (3) examples:1.     If the app is loading slow IT’S YOUR NETWORK AND/OR YOUR DEVICE.2.     If speakers are missing IT’S YOUR NETWORK AND/OR YOUR DEVICE.   3.     Interruptions with a streaming service is not and app issue (although Sonos may have to collaborate with the partner/provider as they post when they are down) it’s most likely a SERVER CONNECTION FAILURE.Interesting fact on #3. Got a really annoying bug here. My setup is a few Sonos speakers round the home. Spotify family plan with Alexa to play. The Sonos account is set to my kids account so they can use Alexa without polluting my recommendations. I have always used Spotify to play music as then the account for Alexa stays on the kids account. One of my favourite play lists is release radar but it is now not playing correctly. It will play the first song and then the second song appears to be like it is on shuffle on the play list then maybe three more songs as if on shuffle and then it's off into the recommendation wilderness playing songs not on the playlist. It's really annoying me and 50% of my Sonos listening is this and it doesn't work. If I go on the Sonos (cr)app, change to me and play release radar it works but I will get kid pollution then. Can anyone tell me if Sonos supports lossless streaming from Napster? Definitely a lot of info about Apple Music lossless out there, but I can’t find an answer about Napster. Any help?

Hi Sonos fam -New user since last year and am generally happy with the ecosystem and even the new app (although I am sometimes confused as to where I am exactly when swiping up or down and what thing is playing to what speaker or whatever)…There’s a lot of swiping, screens and icons and sh*t...”View System” takes you to a screen that looks nearly identical to other screens that I would also consider “viewing” the “system”...but anyway...It’s probably my most used app or at least in the top 5......now that NAS is back, I’m using it. I have a simple older SSD attached to a router via USB and it seems to be working at least at the moment. Took a lot of fiddling with my router seetings to figure out how to make it work….I find networking to be needlessly overcomplicated and over-jargonated. I’m trying to see if there is any expanded article/info on using NAS for SONOS. Attn: Sonos CEO Patrick Spence, I’m writing this to give my thoughts on where Sonos has got it wrong with the new app and concerns on the companies direction. I, like many people, are Sonos lovers. It started with one device which convinced me of the dream of a single system running music through the house. We all listen to music in different ways and Sonos fulfilled that. I quickly became a marketing tool for the company because whenever anyone came to my house they would experience it. I was a big endorser of your product. But that’s all charged with the new app. It’s not irreversible which is why I’m writing to you, because I want my Sonos back… The biggest frustration for me with the new app is that I’ve been convinced to have a Sonos in every room, but I now struggle to use Sonos in my bedrooms because the new app initially didn’t include alarms but more so that it doesn’t include the sleep timer. On my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra I have both the Sonos 1 (because of a Play 5) and the Sonos 2 app for two other boxes. When I start the Sonos 1 app it immediately says “Use Sonos S2 app”  with no other option. This is completely stupid because I need Sonos One to make my Play 5 work. The duality between S1 and S2 creates a real mess. Unbelievable that Sonos hasn't been able to build a single app serving all its hardware. Very poor software development.Moreover, I have lots of problems linking my music library (on a NAS). Hard to believe. 

Hi,I’m having a pretty awful time with the new updates and I am experiencing a problem that’s been plaguing me since the new updates were made. When attempting to use Airplay as I always do everything works great until I add more than 2 Sonos devices.Currently I have an Arc, Beam and Five all wired via ethernet with Wi-Fi disabled. I also have a Move on Wi-Fi with a good signal on 5ghz. Regardless of the combination if I use Airplay 2 on Apple Music to play music on more than 2 Sonos devices the song will stutter at exactly the 2 second mark of the song every time a song changes.I also have a HomePod that I can add to the mix, and that’s fine as the third device. So I can go purely ethernet with 2 Sonos devices and I’m good, I can add the HomePod and still no issues, but if I add a third Sonos device to the fray, regardless of whether it’s on ethernet or Wi-Fi, it will stutter when changing songs at the two second mark. Hello everyone, i know problems with a music library on OneDrive are not new. It worked before perfectIy for me, but now it doesnt anymore.I can add the folder, Sonos has full access. And it plays the music in old playlists...it finds those just fine.But it doesn’t show the folders, the albums and titels anymore. I cannot search in my library or add new titels from my library to other playlists.What did i miss? Is this a bug or do I have to give more/other rights to the app.(Sonos App on Windows 11) 

Seriously, how do we not have support for Spotify volume normalization yet? It pretty much makes the product unusable, I'm likely going to return it all despite having just spent a fortune on it and looking forward to it. It makes the listening experience horrible, and having to adjust the controls every song does not scream premium product to me… Is there any word of a roadmap for this at all??

Hello,I have an issue with Sonos Arc and Sonos app. using my Apple Music account.Apple music is authorized in the Sonos app., but music started from the Sonos app. plays only several minutes. The sound is not heard, but Sonos app. shows Apple Music is still playing.I use Sonos voice assistant very often, where the Apple music is launched and the music plays few minutes only. Sometimes the playing song is skipped in the middle – it looks like wrong connection between Sonos app. and Apple Music app. Tested with two iPhones 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max with the same behavior.It worked without any problem couple of months ago.In case the music starts from Apple Music app. (using air play) it works without any problem! Also Sonos Radio via Sonos app. works without any issue.I was in touch with Sonos support via Chat, made all advises (restart all network components, reconnect speakers, remove Apple Music account and reauthorization, wi-fi/LAN cab

I can’t add music to my playlists can anyone help

Once again, instead of fixing bugs, the latest update has broken more things as I can’t even connect. What sort of QA testing is done before updates are rolled out? Cannot believe it!

I’ve been a SONOS Connect user for about 5 or 6 years and generally it's been pretty good.  Recently, however, Ive had a number of errors from skipping tracks, tracks stopping part way through etc. etc. - others have also reported similar errors.It got so bad recently that I decided to add my Apple Music folders (on an external drive) to my SONOS system.  This worked pretty well to start with - except for the awful interface.  At least everything I selected played!I then added some music and tried to update the Music Library.  It failed (can’t remember the exact error).  I couldn't play anything from the Music Library. (Note: at this point I updated MacOS as I had an update waiting).I decided the best course of action was to delete the Music Library and add it again.  Eventually I deleted the library - though this wasn’t that straightforward but eventually it went.Now I can’t add the shared folders to my SONOS system.  The error I’m getting is:“Una

Ever since upgrading to the latest app, music currently playing in a room or group does not appear to be able to stop or view queue.  Specifics:Playing a Spotify playlist from within Sonos app. Hours later, open the app to turn off music. When selecting the room/group with the music playing it just shows “Queue is empty” and controls are grayed out, making it impossible for me to stop playing the music. 

I have two Sonos systems, one in one house and another in another house. Each time I travel from one house to the other, the new Sonos app forgets that the other system is mine, and doesn’t automatically reconnect. I have to manually use the “connect to nearby system” function and then it connects. Unfortunately, when I do this, the app forgets the default profiles on each of my music services.  Several of the services will be switched to my wife’s profile instead of mine, so I have to one by one select each service and reset them to my profile. The same thing happens to her. The Wi-Fi networks have the same SSID name and password at both houses.  I never had this issue with the old S2 app, it would automatically find the system, reconnect, and my profiles would be correct. Can this be fixed in a future version? The new app should remember systems that I’ve previously connected to along with the proper service defaults. 

As I try to install the Port the new app crashes. All I want is listen to CD's and LP's over the Sonos Beam (gen 2). Also as I connect the RCA OUT of the Port directly to a receiver, no music is streaming. Seems like a waste of money and seems like I am stuck to both a Beam (connected to the TV) and a reveiver with separate speakers, of which I hoped iwas obsolite, to listen to CD's and LP's. Is there a workaround or upcoming update, so I can use the Port?

Since May, there have been lot of problems with the new app. Meanwhile, it seemed that things were moving for the better at last.But with the latest update of July 30, 2024, again a new problem has arisen for me.Now it is almost impossible to select "Folders" in the Music Library view of my iPhone app. Since "Folders" is on the last line in this view and the Search window is right below it, when you select a “Folders”, "Search Music Library" opens instead.Would it be possible to leave an empty line between "Folders" and "Search Music Library" so that the finger does not accidentally touch the Search button below it?Another option would be to make the order of the buttons in the Music Library view user-changeable, so that "Folders" can be moved up from the last row, if desired?

Le cauchemar continue ! Lorsque je veux lancer l'application depuis mon téléphone Android (Oppo) je dois systématiquement débrancher le routeur pour que la mise à jour soit faite. Si je lance l'application depuis la tablette cela met beaucoup de temps pour avoir la page d'accueil avec favoris et autres options. Avant le 7 Mai tout était opérationnel en 2 clics, téléphone et tablette. Pouvons nous espérer revenir à une utilisation simple, rapide et complète du système comme c'était le cas avec la version précédente ? Est-ce que quelqu'un de Sonos peut répondre à cette question ??Utilisatrice désespérée

We have the Play 5, Arc and Move. We used to be able to play 2 different playlists during yoga (ambient list and water sounds) but since the “updated” app haven’t been able to figure out how to separate the speakers during play to do so. We don’t want to unpair the system from our surround sound TV experience.  Anybhemp greatly appreciated 

Hello everyone, I’m having a new connection problem with system you guys may be able to help me with. Whether be using my Sonos when playing Youtube on my Apple Laptop, or when playing music from the Spotify App on my iPhone, the wifi connection to my systems drops out of nowhere. 15-20 minutes into playing music, it just stops. I change the sound output on my device, and come back to my Sonos and it works again. The intervals between drops feel consistent to every 15-20 minute or so.  Any thoughts would help. -J 

Has Sonos fixed the access to music library yet?

Before I get into how SLOW it is, let’s talk about the interface - TERRIBLE.  Alarm - missing.  Search - terrible.play list maintenance- missingi completely regret adding multiple SONOs devices to my home. hey SONOS -  get your act together and FIX IT!

I’m not technical but I had the ability to use my turntable and CD player through Sonos Gold. It changed to Black and no longer have these items in my menu? Will they be reinstated. I have specific Sonos equipment to achieve this connectrivity which now do nothing? Thanks
