Controllers and Music services

I can no longer search YouTube Music from the Sonos app. No matter what search term I enter it tells me there are no results. See examples below. I have reauthorized and removed and reinstalled the YTM account all to no avail. Anyone have any suggestions?Another annoyance is that when I try to call Sonos support I keep getting disconnected before I speak to anyone.  

When I change the individual or total group volume in the iOS Sonos app, I can see the sliders for each speaker jump around and I can hear various speakers leave and re-enter the group. Sometimes it settles on the volume I set. Often it doesn’t.Also, more than once I’ve had to stitch off and switch on speakers so that they can be found by Sonos.

As you might have read elsewhere, neither Pocket Cast nor TuneIn can play podcasts produced by Slate and NPR (and probably others) through the S1 controller -- “unable to play - connection was lost” error messages. I’ve had conversations with the very nice Pocket Cast folks, even though I added that I wouldn’t be re-subscribing when my current year ran out, but nothing we tried worked. Those seem to be my only podcast-streaming options for these particular shows. And, unfortunately, I can't update my system to accommodate S2 for now.Maybe you know a secret…?

 After several years effort I THINK I have cracked network issues that I have been having with Windows and my DS920+ DSM 7.2.1. It never behaved as well as the Server 2012 it replaced. I was getting Error 0x80070035 when PCs tried to access the shares, but either after running the suggested windows diagnostics, or just waiting and trying again it would work. The SYNNAS would be variable about appearing in the network list on Windows clients.I'm still not sure what the silver bullet setting was, but the prime suspect is the Master Browser, and a Windows 10 bug where the LAN master browser doesn't behave on a Windows 10 PC. Hello,I’m experiencing issues with my Sonos system, as it no longer works or updates on my Windows PC (Windows 11, 2023 model).Why does every interaction with Sonos seem to turn into a frustrating experience for users? Every app release seems to come with an apology, yet no real fixes are provided. Is there a way I can return my products? I purchased these speakers with the expectation that they would work reliably for more than just a few years. Matthew

Hi everyone, I just bought a new Beam Gen.2 for our home. When I was going to set it up the app managed to delete the sound system with rooms that I had already had for many years. I have tried to log out and also find it on the wifi it has always been on without success. Any suggestions on how I can get this solved?Also when setting up the new Beam it is stuck in the app when trying to connect to the Wifi and it comes a message that it was set up but might not show in my sound system, and I would have to plug out the cord and it should work. I have tried to factory reset and it didnt work. I have also restarted the router mesh system I have. All the Sonos speakers are connected wireless. Also in the last months it is a lot harder to connect to speakers on Spotify and only way is through airplay. Is there something I need to do to make it as easy as it used to be?Thanks for your input. :-)

I lost the national radio stations Radio France, especially France Inter. it is a major problem to me and I cant to sell back the system if I cannot recover.I can get France Inter in Chinese but I am French!It is really a basic to be able to listen to the radio!

Recently updated iPad to iOS 18 now although Global Player is showing on Music Services it will not play any music. In addition can’t add the new Rayo App it just tells me that I am not connected to the internet. I know the system is works as I can play music from Spotify and from BBC Sounds.

When I open the Sonos app, I am getting an error message that says “unable to load Content”. How do I fix this?

Interesting issue. Since the new app cant add music library from hdd attached to an asus router whilst using the android app.I keep getting permission denied messages (possibly because sonos seems to insist you type all details in and won't accept pasting) or it accepts the shared path and login id /password but then just hangs on the add share screen.The shared path is //router name/MusicUnder Music there are subfolders for each band.If I select one band and add it, hey presto that bands albums/tracks are all added and play fine.However if the band name has a space in the name  the add option hangs and nothing is addede.g. //router name/Music/Led ZeppelinIt therefore appoears that Sonos cannot cope with the subfolders having a space in the name at that level and that is stopping the addition of the whole library.If I try and add the library from a PC using the windows app I get a message that the location of the share has moved. That’s it I give up. Never ever using the Sonos app again. It was never very good. Now it’s rubbish. Goodbye Sonos app.had to happen otherwise I would go completely mad. So I can’t stand its terrible frustrating lack of performance any more

Ive been comparing Apple Lossless via Apple TV and my Sonos s15 connect.  I’ve used hdmi and a hdmi splitter to my Apple TV and use the digital out of Sonos connect to my integrated amp.  Why does the Apple TV sound so much better if both capable of doing 24 bit 48khz?  Cymbals, drums , voices are so much better thru Apple TV.  Besides being a tad louder thru sonos connect, it clearly does not sound as good.  I’m getting lossless supposedly on both when on Apple TV and shows on phone when using Sonos app.  My unit was produced after 8/17 so can handle Apple Lossless confirmed by Sonos rep. 3 people listeners and picked Apple TV  over 90% of timeany advise??

I’ve seen quite a few comments from fellow Sonos users having this issue where Napster is the primary streaming service on their Sonos and it no longer works, but I’ve not seen any suggestions to resolve this from Sonos on the forum.   This is the error message below that I’m getting. Since the large update on Sonos the app has been pretty dire.

We were told app updates were coming every two weeks. Well, it’s been over two weeks since the last one and nothing.Does anyone know what’s going on?

After finally biting the bullet and updating all my Sonos apps, I’m having issues accessing my MyCloud NAS drive which I use to host my music library.WIndows desktop app and web version can access and play music from NAS, all be it that Windows desktop shows album art but web version doesn't.Android app seems to recognise music library but says something went wrong when trying to find or play anything.IOS app doesn’t even recognise music library at all.Path to music library is same on all apps.Andy ideas what’s going on?   

Stations like Classic FM - both their own service and TuneIn - and Absolute radio not working (again). There's no helpful error on in the app just silence. Others like BBC ok.

Missing TV Button under your sources in new app when switching between TV hdmi sound input and music? Have asked this before does nobody know, must be a software fault, this on new black amp and all latest updates on ios and android.

My Sonos app is no longer displaying any of my sonos products. Can someone tell me how to get them back? When I search for new product via the app they are not recognised. They were previously recognised on the app.

Can someone help- 🙏 if I’m listening to a playlist in my home theatre room and switch source to TV i can’t find a way to revert back to my previous play list- it’s gone  was previously able to do this before the new app launch but can’t do this now is this a problem with my system set up or an issue with the new app it’s driving me totally nuts

Hello,Since the app upgrade I can no longer access my library on an external hard drive connected to a USB port in my router because the latter is SAMBA v1. The router is my internet provider’s and they do not want to upgrade it. So I plan to buy a NAS server and consider Qnap TS133, mainly for budget reasons. Anyone has success reading music on Sonos with this NAS? I am asking because I read that the Qnap requires their proprietary music app QMusic that Sonos cannot access (I guess) and also that the speakers have to be wired for reading music from this NAS whereas mine are all wifi. Thanks in advance. 

Is Tunein Pro (onetime charge) service available on Sonos? I have Tunein Premium account , but still get ads and commercials . Tunein Pro removes ads. 

So when is Sonos going to scrap this awful new app, go back to the old one, and start over and trying to create a good app for once?
