Just starting this up again and hoping for an official reply…. im not sure what you’re paying your dev’s but from experience adding Dark Mode to an IOS app is frankly nearly as easy as typing this request… multiple threads and requests…AND ITS STILL NOT DONE. Sonos. Srsly sort this out. If not an actual reason why you’d not do it? cue “customer is always right” etc etc…
Hi , will there be a dark mode for the Sonos ( gold ) app ??
I had to make a Beta app update today, and while majority of my system still works ok, the Connect:Amp is not. I am not able to play anything from the amp now after today’s update (10/27/21). Does anyone know how to either find this issue or remove the beta app so I can go back to the S2 app instead?
Hi,The latest update brought some significant UI bugs. When I move mouse over UI controls they disappear (see attached screenshot). It works for all controls including menu and text boxes. Items may reappear if I move mouse very slow. But it’s unpredictable. I tried to reinstall the app with no success. I must mention that I’ve been using the Windows app for quite some time and it was always working fine. I use the latest (fully updated) Windows 10. Please help. Thanks,Dmitry
The songs master quality from TIDAL aplication downgraded when connected to Sonos speakers. The same efect appear if I connected to Sonos one speaker or to Sonos ARC + SUB + 2 Sonos one.The quality is downgraded from Master to HIFI.A year ago, I've read at the comunity forum that it going to be fix at S2, but it not heappend yet. When sonos will support TIDAL's master quality?
Hello Community, Sonos,I was wondering if other people would find it usefull that you would recognize a full album vs a single in the Artist overview.example; you see 10 items below the “artist radio and Top Tracks. it would be handy if you could navigate to the full albums by recognizing them or if they were grouped? Thanks, first time question-askerToni
I am new to this so please bear with me.I have a Western Digital MyCloud EX2 Ultra hosting a Twonky Server (Version 8.5.2-5) to provide access to Pictures, Video and Music. All works fine except the Music will not play on my Sonos Play1 via the Sonos app (Version: 13.3 OS:S2) loaded on my (Android) mobile devices. The Sonos app sees the Music (Folders, Albums, Tracks) but says “an error occurred while adding tracks to the Queue (701).On the Twonky Server, the Sonos support option is OFF. This is because the text warns that the option prevents Windows Media Player running on the same machine, from sharing media. I did once set it on, but the required server restart failed (I am using a Windows 10 laptop to configure the Twonnky Server). I have also read that “The Sonos feature included in Twonky is not functionally supported. WD support Sonos using SMB”.I do not really understand what that means but have also read “I’ve activated (SMB1, SMB2, SMB3) and (NTML V1 and NTML V2) and I’m able
I have 3 Sonos amps that are dedicated to 3 separate rooms. As of now, my speakers are hardwired to the amps. I can’t figure out how to play different musical tracks via Spotify Premium in separate rooms. I can play a track in one room or a group of rooms, but not two different tracks in two different rooms. This should be easy.
How can i listen to my own recordings saved on Google drive in my sonos?
Hello I recently noticed that music quality when listening thru spotify connect is better than airplay. I normally prefer to use original streaming app than Sonos S2 for listening. Anybody else also noticed the difference when listening thru spotify connect vs airply?
I have some local .Mp3 music and am unable to save a que as a Playlist. I find the Playlist process awkward. I simply wish to create Playlists from my locally stored music within Sonos that persist. I found several pre-made lists I would like to remove.
Hi,Sonos has discontinued support for Windows 7. I have my Sonos library on a Windows 7 PC. I am concerned that if I update the iOS app, it will no longer work with my PC/library.Do we know that updated iOS apps will retain compatibility with my “Sonos Controller for PC” v13.2?I would prefer not to update this PC as it does everything I need it to. We all know that Windows updates can cause problems. Thank you,Morty
One of the things I regularly use Sonos for is listening to Audible before I go te sleep. Of course the audio on Sonos is waaay better than when I listen to audible on my phone, but there are some downsides when using Sonos instead of my phone for this, especially when it comes to sleep mode:In the Audible app (when using my phone/headphones instead of Sonos) there are 2 sleep mode options I really like:choosing a custom time for sleep mode (they give some standard options, but you can also select after how many minutes you want it to stop, whereas Sonos only gives some options (15 minutes, 30 minutes, etc.) choosing the option “end of chapter” for sleep mode; it will automatically stop after the chapter. (Even better imho, would be if you could choose after how many chapters/tracks you want it to stop). Is there any way to get the above on a backlog/wishlist?
I am successfully importing playlists into my desktop Sonos app with a *.m3u extension. I would like to be able to also import playlists with a *.m3u8 extension, which is an updated version of the older one. Sonos will not import these. Am I missing something or is this “normal?” Both versions are pretty old, so I’m surprised Sonos doesn’t recognize the latter. If this is normative, will you add it to “new features” in a future release?
On my PC i have a folder for all my music. iTunes uses that basic directory, some tracks are in their own sub directory, and some are listed as normal files with the main Music directory.Whatever the previous version of the Sonos S1 software (SW), I updated to the latest v 11.2.12.Playing music using my iphone Sonos app and PC S1 app works fine. However, upon downloaded the latest the PC S1 SW, the cover art is messed up.Almost all the tracks, which had their own cover art, have been replaced by a SINGLE cover art image.I have no idea why.The songs and cover art all in the same Music folder (I don’t manage the cover art, whatever comes with iTunes is what I have). Nothing has changed for years actually. The music folder and my PC w/the S1 SW are on the same computer. So I have no idea what the hell happened. Any suggestions- it’s annoying as hell.
Hello,I can not add Tidal as Service to my Sonos. It simply is not there as option when I search for it, while other similar services as Deezer are there. What I am missing?
In Australia, The Macquarie network radio stations have developed their own digital radio app’s and have deleted access from Sonos radio and all other radio apps, They want you to use their own APPS to here the stations, so how can I add these stations to the Sonos APP so I can play through our speakers
I have a typical 5.1 setup in the Living Room. I want to temporarily move one of my Play:1s to the deck to play some music.I assume I do this by ungrouping my living room and using it independently, then regrouping once I’m done, but wanted to check in here to see 1) If there is an “easier” process, and 2) If there are any potential problems or extra steps that I’ll be stuck with by doing so.Ultimately I’ll probably buy another speaker to avoid this, but this is a more immediate need. Thanks!
About a year ago, I came to the conclusion that I do not want SMB1 in my house anymore for obvious reasons. So I moved away from the music library towards Plex which I experience reasonable but cumbersome at the same time. Still it works. But….Plex needs port forwarding 32400 and since a couple of days I`m using threat management on my router gateway and guess what: there are multiple ‘sources’ knocking on that particular port every day. This is for me a ‘no go’ with Plex remote access unless someone sees alternatives using Plex without keeping that port opened (question 1 ).So assuming I need to say goodbye to Plex (I only keep it alive for Sonos which is rather heavy): what are my alternatives in the current landscape of Sonos services to connect Sonos to the music on my Synology NAS (question 2).
I ran a Sonos system for several years without any big issues but today I updated my wifi thingies and a question arose. Me and the wife have Spotifu Duo and want to use our Sonos system with our own Spotify accounts so we don’t mess up our different lists and suggestions (nowhere near similar taste in music). When I look at Sonos support page they state that it’s easy, just add another Spotify service in the Sonos app. It’s just that when I do so Sonos state that I dont have to add a new service since I already have an active one. So maybe time to update the support page or what am I doing wrong? Thanks!
A few minutes ago, I accidentally saved a new playlist with the name of an older Sonosplaylist, copying over the old list. Anyone know of a way to recover the earlier version of the old playlist?
I want to delete my Western Digital storage unit from Sonos but cannot find how to do this.
Is it possible to have alarms play on pre-grouped rooms and not just “include in grouped rooms”? Throughout the day, I like to have alarms to play specific play lists in different parts of my home. This would be a very desirable feature.
I have a Setup Living Room - One SL 2 pcs Bedroom - Arc + Sub Kitchen - Sonos Five Outdoor - In celling Speaker Sonance + Amp I want to ask that can we play multiple songs (Different tracks) from Sonos App is it possible , if yes then how can we do that , please explain a little bit.
I woke up this morning to an app update, which also updated the speakers. The update shows 13.3.2 however only the Arc, Beam and Amp updated their version, the rest of my speakers stayed on 13.3. Assuming this is an update to the HT setups, I am curious if any of you have noticed this update bringing more than bug fixes.
