Feature request - Add Volume numbers in the Mac/PC app next to volume controls.

Feature request: Add Dolby Atmos logo to Mac/Windows app for songs that are in the mentioned format. 

Using the S2 app on Win11, I don’t see any mechanism for doing basic care and feeding of my Sonos system.  All I see is essentially a glorified music player.In particular, I would like to control the balance, but cannot find a control to do that.

I have a set of Spatial Audio (Dolby Atmos) compatible speakers: an Arc, 2 x Era 300s and a Sub.When I read various articles, I get the sense that the only way to play Spatial Audio from Apple Music is via the Sonos S2 app, and that it won’t be lossless. Is that right?If one plays from the Apple Music app (iOS or OSX) over AirPlay 2 to these devices, I further get the sense believe that the music won’t be Spatial Audio (or lossless). Is that right?

Our band performs regularly at a small club that has a multi-room Sonos system installed for recorded music when the band is not playing. The system sounds really great - loud, clean, excellent coverage of the venue. Our own PA speakers are high end, but they are too loud up front and not loud enough in the back, always a challenge. I would like to patch a line level output from our band’s mixer into the Sonos system when we play. Exactly what would I need to do that? Club owner is hesitant - he seems to think we could harm his setup. He has not told me exactly what Sonus gear he has. All I know is that he controls it all from his phone, and it is high end. We could run a cable to his central Sonos device assuming that it has a line level in… or we could go wireless - I believe Sonus has a device, or we could transmit over wi-fi with a non-Sonus receiver by his central device.Any advice without knowing his exact gear? Hi. I just purchased by first Sonos SL, i set it up but i cannot find Apple Music in Sonos services. i checked the country settings, i uninstalled and reinstalled Sonos, i signed out and in from my apple subscription account ..  What else can it be? it is getting very frustrating..

Hi Sonos fan,I am currently testing in the Sonos apps, Amazon music and Apple music, in order to later choose one of the two for a permanent subscription.I test both with the same song, (Flowers from Miley Cyrus). With Amazon music, the Dolby Atmos logo is there and the sound starts on the Arc soundbar.With Apple music, if the sound comes directly to the iPad, the Dolby Atmos logo is there, but when I change the destination on my Sonos system, the Dolby Atmos logo disappears and the song starts on the two One SL speakers behind me.So I wonder if Dolby Atmos with Apple music wouldn't be compatible with Sonos, but only in stereo mode?It is curious to note that the same song is broadcast in different ways on my sonos system (Arc SL, two One SL, Sub gen 3), with amazon mainly on the arc, and with apple, mainly on the two one sl . Thanks

Since my iPod Touch is no longer supported, which iOS device should I buy to run TruePlay?I don’t use Apple and got the Touch just to run TruePlay and it served me well but once again I’m back asking Apple folks what I should be looking for. Since it only needs to run the Sonos Controller and that rarely, my goal is the least expensive device (cost per year of use)

I use Sonos in three locations (home, vacation home & office) and have shared Sonos HD Radio in all locations since they are under the same User account.  I recently upgraded a number of my Sonos devices and upgraded the account from S1 to S2.  I created a new account for my “stranded” S1 devices, factory reset them and added them to the new account.  Two questions:Sonos HD Radio is asking to reauthorize on both Sonos user accounts, and both are receiving and error when activating.  Have anyone experienced similar?  Thoughts on cause/solution? Am I able to share a single Sonos HD Radio across my S1 and S2 accounts?  I suspect I know the anwser to this.Thx

I changed my email address within the account in Sonos using my desk top.  I tried logging into the app on iPhone but it has my old email address.  I can't reset my password because I don't have access to that email account.  Do I have to wait until Monday before calling Sonos support?  Or can this be an easy fix.  

Sonos you know a bunch of us have thousands of dollars invested because we love your speakers, but seeing that you have planted Sonos Radio in our list of search results (at the top rather arrogantly) will quickly change my “tune” (pun intended.) Option return to us faithful patrons the option to have our chosen paid service results at the top of our search results.  This is bare minimum while I’d love to remove Sonos radio all together.  It’s not great.

I have several Sonos Ones dotting around the house, out of Deezer & Tidal which would give me the best streaming bit rate on these devices? Thanks.

In the Calm app, depending on your language, the content is different. For example, in my case, I have setup my account to be in French. So the meditation sessions are in French. Any way to have that in Sonos? Changing the language in the Sonos app does not change the content for Calm. :(

I’m using Sonos v. 15.1.1 on macOS Ventura on an M2 Mac Mini. I have a music folder under a OneDrive folder. I’ve given Sonos read/write access to this folder under File Sharing and Sonos is turned on under Accessibility, but when I try to add the folder in the Sonos app, I get an error message that “Sonos was unable to add the music folder. Access to the shared folder “//MY_NAME-Mac-mini/Music” is denied - check the username and/or password” I created a music folder outside of the OneDrive folder and there’s no issue adding that folder, so it must have something to do with OneDrive. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling Sonos too. Appreciate any suggestions!

I am based in Ireland and I usually use my Sonos to listen to BBC 6 Music.Recently the stream is intermittantly interrupted with a message saying that in mid-2023, I will no longer be able to stream BBC via Sonos. It says to contact the manufacturers of my smart speaker for more information.It’s not clear if the issue it with BBC, Sonos/Sonos Radio or TuneIn (I’m aware there are other BBC/TuneIn issues).Do we know if BBC have any plans to make BBC Sounds available on Sonos outside of the UK?

Located in US.  BBC Sounds is not in my list to add a service.  Yet all recent support says it should be. I would love to llsten to BBC,,, Any ideas?

What sample rates for FLAC files work with Sonos Music Library. I have music from a variety of sources, so they tend to vary.Sonos documentation does not specify: https://support.sonos.com/en-ca/article/supported-audio-formats-for-sonos-music-library, since I’m using S2 - 24-bit should work and this list should mention sample rates is some aren’t going to play.I get the unsupported sample rate 24b96000Hz and 24b192000Hz errors. 44100Hz seems to work, but that’s 16 bit?Before I go downsampling my entire music library this would be good to know. I’m aware I could host a server to do the work or use Plex. 

I have a strange problem. In one room I have 2 sonos five in stereo. After trueplay is done, they are out of balance. I have to slide the balance 5 points to the right. If i toggle trueplay on off, it is very noticeable. with trueplay off balance is in center 🤷🏻‍♂️ Anyway to fix this without using the balance control? 

Why can’t sonos and Spotify get along anymore? It used to be seamless, and then Sonos changed their software. You are a speaker company. You should be able to play my damn music!  Regret purchasing. 

Hi. I have scoured all the boards here and the web and cannot rectify this issue. Everything on the Sonos FAQs cites is 10+ but with 13 all sorts of stuff changed. I have a library on a usb-connected drive on my Mac desktop. This library was connected to my system previously no issues. Upgraded to Ventura, cleared everything and tried to add the library back, it goes through all the steps then says “Sonos was unable to add the music folder. No paths could be added as a share.”firewall is open for sonosdisk permissions open.  file sharing open. can’t even get mobile app to recognize the computer to try and add it that way  Anyone else have this and solve it?  

I am missing the option to add a title from seach view to the actual player at the end of the plalist or the “play next” option.I only see the option to add a title to a seperate stored playlist or to play the tile right now.I am working with the Android S2 app

Looking for some indication that Sonos is working on M1/M2 support for their desktop app. And BTW I sincerely hope Sonos is planning on feature parity for the desktop app as well.  

HiDespite checking Windows 10 firewall allows private access to Sonos controller and Sonos library, I am still geting "Unable to play 'xyz.mp3' - unable to conect to //room/userSometimes it works, sometimes doesn't. Has anybody had this? 

I have an old system with ZP80s, ZP100s and 2 CR100s.  I have not updated the firmware on my system since Sonos announced they would no longer support the CR100.Most of the time, I listen to my favorite radio station through TuneIn.  A couple of days ago, I tried to listen to my favorite station and got the following message“Unable to browse music - there was a problem connecting to TuneIn.”  I knew this was coming, but was hoping it would happen after I take my dirt nap.I ran upstairs to my Windows computer and launched the old version of the Sonos controller and was able to use TuneIn to listen to my favorite radio station.Every once in a while, I now get a commercial coming through my Sonos from TuneIn.  They are local commercials and fairly annoying.Please note, I am not complaining about anything.  It’s just a sad fact that the things we were told about our old CR100s is coming to fruition.I can get around the TuneIn supplied commercial

So….… Last Saturday(09/12/20), all of a sudden, I was able to control Sonos from the Lock Screen on my iPhone.  It worked on mine and my wife’s phone.  When we woke up Sunday morning, it was gone.
