Controllers and Music services

So the Plex integration doesn’t get HD or Hi Res flag in the interface when playing hi res files,When you “cast” from Roon over Sonos and it shows the signal path as being lossless again it doesn’t show the flag…Is there any way to get HD or Hi res flags other than streaming direct from local media library? Thanks

I have the Era 300 which I LOVE! But I would love it even more if the Sonos controller app on the Mac supported displaying the [Dolby Atmos] Indicator Logo when playing Dolby Atmos tracks from Apple Music.

Looks the names of my zones have been changed somehow in my sonos profile and it is causing some rooms to play music and one of my rooms I can’t get music to play. I looked at my setup and it looks like the names are different from what was originally set up I need to redo my configuration and start from scratch.  What is the best way to do that?

New to the Sonos ecosystem so this may be a stupid question 🫣 have an Arc, sub gen 3, connected to 2 Era 100s as surrounds. Let’s say I’m watching a movie and accidentally touch the volume buttons on one Era 100, does that throw off the volume of just that one speaker or does it do nothing? 

I confirmed “Radiko” not in service.But Japanese customer want to use “Radiko.”Are there any plan to add “Radiko” in the future? 

Can I be connected to the same sistem by wifi through the mobilie and connected by ethernet with my mac?

Guys, it is time: TIME for you to get with it and offer some Sonos Widgets for your iOS and MacOS apps. Also, I should be able to control my Sonos system with my Apple Watch. The iOS and Mac apps are getting pretty long in the tooth and both need some love. I realize this is probably on Apple‘s end of things, but are we seriously stuck using the Sonos app to get Apple Music atmos audio? Kinda sucks we can’t cast Atmos songs to the Arc, in a similar fashion to the way that Spotify works. I know about AppleTV, but that’s not the most ideal. The Apple Music app seems to only allow Airplay. 

I just realized that some time in the recent past the rooms/speakers starting switching their position in the Rooms view if you select or deselect them. It seems to me that it wants to keep the selected speakers at the top and the deselected ones at the bottom, but that is terrible behaviour. If I want to transfer from one room to another now the list gets jumbled several times, and I alwas have to rescan the list and see where the item is I am looking for.If you absolutely must have the selected one at the top, do it only after opening the view, so that the order is kept while the screen is open, and if I close it and reopen it it gets build anew, but like this is is simply confusing. For a minute I thought I was in the Spotify app, that’s how bad it was ;)

I bought my first SONOS years ago, the S1. Absolutely love the quality, it exceeds many in the market.Found the app to be extremely inconvenient, frustrating, and unnecessarily complicated. Years after years I bought more of your product, I waited and waited for you to eventually improve your UX and UI, STILL AS FRUSTRATING AS THE FIRST DAY I BOUGHT IT -ALMOST A DECADE AGO. Setting it up today broke me and was a nightmare, please do something. All due respect to SONOS lovers, I respect you, but I need to be honest otherwise I would die with these words in my mouth. Please don’t try to educate me trust me I tried, I have been using it for years, and still is furious. To anyone in Sonos support, I beg of you, please stop it with the playlist only system for tracks. I just want to play my songs in library randomly. I had to create the playlist containing all my songs from the Apple Music library solely for your app. It was 10,000+ songs that I ticked by hand. You are making me so depresse

Anyone experiencing update error recently on their sonos product? seems like various discussions about this issue? maybe on their software?

I have 2 sonos systems;  one S1 and one S2. I would like to copy playlists etc from one to the other.

I have my weekday alarm set to play Times Radio @ 5am weekday mornings and although the screen is saying that is what is playing, it is actually playing Classic FM ? This has happened 3 times now?

I have a Sonos Amp, and as part of my home air conditioning a Google tablet which I’d like to use to control the Sonos Amp.If I download the Sonos app, I need to run an update and get an error code 1101.I’ve called Sonos who said as the tablet doesn’t have a microphone, I need to buy a Sonos speaker with a microphone to set up Google Assistant, which means I can then control it via the Sonos speaker or the Google tablet.This sounds ridiculous to me. Is this right?

Cannot connect my Sonos app to the WD NAS

Over the past month or so, I've encountered several small but frequent issues with Spotify through Sonos. This is primarily but not exclusively when I use the Spotify app (I dislike the Sonos app).Includes things like:-When I start to play a podcast, it automatically jumps to another, completely unrelated podcast (not even the next one in a queue, or anything as sort-of logical as that). This will happen repeatedly. Eventually I can usually brute force it into playing the one I want but I can't identify the fix.-An album (not on shuffle) will simply stop playing at the end of, say, the third song. Or fifth. Or whatever. The completion bar remains near the end of the song and when I hit play, it will replay the song that just finished rather than move to the next.-No sound. A song or album will show as playing through the correct speakers in both Spotify and the Sonos app. Except it's not actually playing (maybe on some secret frequency the dog can hear- I'll ask her).-Sudden shift betw

For a year or so, I’ve had no problems asking Alexa to play ‘My Soundtrack’ or anything else. I could look at my phone and using the Android App skip etc, now I can only pause, and I can’t see the track. If I start the music from the Sonos App - all works as expected - but - that kind of removes the point of using Alexa in the first place. I’ve tried removing/readding the skill, doing all the usual unplugging etc Anything else I can/should try?

Hello! Since the total outage of Radioplayer a few days ago, Radioplayer service on Sonos app is still not working (at least for me), even if the service seems to be up and operating normally.I resetted the app, removed and reinstalled Radioplayer service but seems not to be helpful. Can anyone tell me if there are still problems? Other services works fine!ThanksAndrea 

I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the S2 app, rebooting my MacBook Pro and the router and NOTHING WORKS!! I keep getting the same error message that sonos quit unexpectedly. Sonos has been working with occasional crashes but now, I can’t even open the app. Please help!

I don’t think iti is fair to impose to the buyers of sonos speakers unsolicited advertising.It isn’t consistent with the idea that we have bought top of the line speakers.It isn’t consistent with proper customer care and… have you listened to the ads?In German and Italian they are unbelievably primitive.  Truly ugly stuff.I don’t think it is a money spinner for sonos. Just a stupid embarassment.

Hi, I recently added some music to my plex server. When I try to play it via the Sonos Plex integration, I only get “Unable to play xy - The connection to Plex was lost”. This only affects the newly added music - the “old” one just works fine (I added some music a couple of days before I did the update to 15.4 - this one works). Plex itself works, I can play the newly added music via the Plex apps.Just before I did the update to 15.4 I didn’t had those issues.After that I tried to:upgrade the server to the newest version reauthorize the plex integration in Sonos Switched off all Sonos devices for a few minutesnothing helped so far.Does anyone have similar issues or any idea? It would really help me to track down the issue.

sonos has become utterly useless as a playback service for amazon music.songs stop in the middle of playback - error message   the song is not encoded correctly.or sonos just drops the link to amazon - error message  the connection to Amazon Music was lostI get these messages not one or twice a day but dozens.  I have asked tech support for help on these for years now.I gather since their developers refuse to fix this is it is a sonos/google doesn’t want to play well with amazon.Wish I had not invested in as many speakers or I would abandon sonos immediately.their speakers would be best suited for small boat anchors.   

How can I create a mix / songlist based on one song, with like songs, in Sonos. With Deezer, you can pick a song and create a mix based on it. How can I do this with Sonos (with Deezer as source)?
