My Sonos system sometimes plays all the songs on an individual playlist without a hitch but there are times when it starts a song and never finishes it before going onto the next then the next song will play through fine and the it starts short cutting songs again. It's very annoying ! What is up with that?
Hi all, new poster on here. I've just bought an Echo dot so I'm playing around with it like a mad man. However, I can't listen to the radio through the Sonos speaker I have. I can play Spotify playlists, turn it on and off, I've downloaded the Yonomi app and have added it to my skills. Can someone give me a step by step method of how to listen to the radio through my Sonos? Thanks in advance.
Hi, I have a Cr100 that I'm trying to add to my system and it won't connect to my system. I have a bridge directly attached to my router, with a Play 5, ZP90 and a Ipod dock using the sonos wireless system. Can anyone offer some help with this please? Many thanks Mike
Hi. I really like Sonos and Sonos App...but I wonder why all we users, do not have an updated volume showed in numbers or (volume bars) Example: My daughter have a speaker upstairs.(Play 1) If she wants some music upstairs in her room, controlled from an iphone downstairs. How Do You know what volume level to play with? Do i really need to walk to every room, to hear each volume level??? My home has levelmeters showed on: Philips Hue lights have % Light volume Apple products have volume bars and battery % Samsung TV's with number volume ...and I can see how fast my car are going:)🆒 , and also the volume on the car radio? ...Can You control that little dot in sonos app. with your much larger finger?:) How can You control the music volume in the bathroom, when You have guests, without going into the room??? ------ QUESTION: Would You like to have the next Sonos App. Updated with volume levelmeter? Bars/Numbers ------ Kind regards Morten Wickstrøm, Denmark
Hi - We have a nexus 7 running the sonos controller (version 3.8.3 build 19459140). Everything looks pretty good except i cannot "share track with facebook". I can share with google/gmail/google+ no problem! please help thanks
I'm really struggling to see a lot of the buttons on the PC controller window. It's almost impossible to read any of the grey-on-black. I have no idea where the volume is because I can only just see the slider but not the bar. It is difficult to see most of the other buttons too because they are grey on black. Where are the accessibility settings please? I have normal vision (tested recently, no problems with anything else) and I have tried looking at my screen from various angles and tried other screens/computers (other programs are fine) so it's Sonos. This website is bad too - I can hardly see the 'find a store' or the 'sign in' on the top bar. This makes me feel like I am disabled! How on earth do partially sighted people manage with Sonos if it's nearly impossible for me? Please help. How do I choose a better more visible setting?
I'm trying to figure out how I can shuffle my entire music library located on my Nas? I've been looking at this, and so far it only looks like I can shuffle an album at a time, but would really prefer to shuffle everything.
Never had this issue until iOS update 10.3.1 on iPad Air . But still plays perfect from my iPhone 7 on iOS 10.2.1. Controller software is 7.2
Why can't voice memos be played via Sonos?
A week or so ago my Sonos Favorites disappeared and I am unable to add anything. Can anyone suggest what I can do to troubleshoot this? I have the Android app and a Play:1.
The iPhone volume buttons used to work with the ios app but now don't seem to be working? Anyone else having this issue?
I'd like the Apple Music app to work like the Spotify app, contoling the rooms an music level from the Apple Music?... Any idea if that's in the pipeline... 😉
I never really had this problem. I like using the Google music app over the Sonos app. I think after the update, this started happening where I can play Google music through Sonos app, but once I cast to the Sonos it will skip and not play I've cleared cache, data and resigned in from the Google music app and still having issues casting to Sonos from the Google music app. Need help
sonos on my iMac appears to have stopped my computer/screen sleep & screen saver functions i.e. the display is permanently on. I've tried all the usual system preference options. Any ideas on how to switch the sleep function back on?
Is there any possibility of having a 'custom' option for duration times associated with Alarms and Sleep Timer?
I'm not referring to the capabilities of casting from Play Music, I'm referring to being able to cast from ANY application that supports casting in general. This would also allow pairing of Google Cast devices with Sonos devices, and open up the ecosystem for Sonos to many more apps and services. In addition, the hardware already exists, as the setup process is identical to non-Sonos devices. This would be a huge boon to me, as I'm an all-out Google person and will be switching to Google Cast devices if support isn't added.
Our two young girls (6 and 😎 love using Sonos, but I'm concerned as to what they have access to, in terms of content, and also settings. It's also quite easy to get lost. We have Sonos through the house, except their bedrooms, for obvious reasons. I think Sonos should consider developing a child friendly app that has certain permissions (for example can only play music from a local NAS, or stream music from Spotify that is child related). Alternatively, and probably easier to develop, a permissioned adult could create fix/locked playlist/s that the Kids App could access and play from, but nothing else. Limits on volume levels would also be a handy feature!
I have the Harmony Ultimate remote that I'm using with my Sonos Playbase which for the most-part works really great! The issue I'm having is when the TV is first turned on there is a delay of several minutes before the volume becomes controllable with the Harmony remote. I've checked and rechecked my connections several times and still have the issue when the TV is first turned on. I get TV sound immediately, but I don't get control of the volume or mute for several minutes. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any information you can pass along.
My main user account that I use to log into my Mac does not have administrative privileges. So every time I start the controller I have to enter my admin user name and password for network access. This is annoying. Is there a way to fix this? PS This problem is at least 5 years old (persisted thru a number of Controller updates and OSX updates/installations). Happens on my my MacPro and MacBook Pro. Thanks for your help Olaf
I have downloaded the sonos controller to my new iPad and the is no crossfade option. I have sonos on my PC and android phone and the crossfade is there. I am using Apple Music.
I have a subscription to Soma FM but only a few of their streams are freely available in Tunein so I have added them to My Radio Stations. However, I would like to see the pic that comes with the url, anyone know how I can add it? I presume there is an underlying database that might be accessed, scuse the pun.....
Hello Sonos community, I have an issue with connecting Sonos speakers directly from the Google Play Music app (not the Sonos app). Sometimes after I connect a Sonos speaker I get the message that music can not be played. I then need to disconnect and connect again (and sometimes do this a third time). Only after this second or third try it works and streaming starts. Do you know this issue and can you help? I am using Samsung Galaxy Tab (Android) and all apps have the latest updates. I have Sonos bridge, Playbar and Play:1. Issue shows up for both speakers. Sonos Net is on channel 6 and router on channel 11. Connecting the speakers with Sonos app e.g. for radio works without issues. Best regards Wolfram
Can I use Sonos from my Chromebook?
I've owned Sonos for several years and it has been a constant pain. Compatability with Audible was a joke, compatability with Spotify was and still is a joke. The newest thing is that Sonos loses connection to players every day, and I have to go through the setup over and over again, for some reason it takes forever to find a player the older gen player - (indicative of Sonos attitude toward its customers.) While the sound on the system is great, everything else fails completely.
iTunes shows a notification when a new track starts. Sonos Controller for Mac could do the same thing, it shouldn't be hard!
