Bit confused reading several threads on subject. I have a few empty playlist under "on this mobile device" I can't remember how I made them I'm afraid, but just cannot seem to delete them, also they are empty. Its possible I imported them. Also the "genre" search on "this mobile device" show many genres, but again are all empty.... Album/artist ect shows all as normal.I can't find the names of the empty playlists anywhere on my phone or on my pc.I believe i have an identical copy of songs on both my pc and mobile phone. Can anyone point me in the right direction to delete the empty playlists permanently, and restore if possible the genre folder to show my music.
why isn't there a possibility when you push the same botton twice(play button for example) you can switch between the last 2 played playlists(radio/playlist, for example). If there is a function like this I'd would like to hear how to set it up!,
Hi,So this might be just me and my OCD but, I’d really like a (mostly pointless) feature within the controller apps to be able to click a button (double-tap or something, I’m not saying _how_ it should be done) and have all the volume levels lined up across all grouped speakers. When the family all leave the house and it's just me home, I like to crank up the volume across all speakers but the thing that I find annoying (it really is trivial) is having the volume levels not quite all the same. Forget the relative volume of each speaker, I just want to have the levels all lined up.Cheers
When I use Sonos search to look for playlists, it only finds public playlists by other people not my own private playlists and services like Spotify and YouTube music and tidal. I am able to see the playlist if I use the browse function from the top menu but that's much slower. Is there any way to make this work? Thanks.
As per the title really. The controller app can still see and play on all my speakers but only when it’s in close proximity to a Sonos One (not an old Play:1) speaker. So I can’t control sets of speakers from my phone when I’m in the same room as them!Nightmare when playing musical statues at my son’s 9th birthday party last week!Any suggestions as to how or if I can fix this? I understand that you can’t make a stereo pair between Play:1s and Ones so that won’t help.Cheers.
Hi there, how do new music apps get added to the list that can be played through Sonos speakers? Have an app that i use but can't get it to play via Sonos system.Cheers
I know Sonos does not currently support high quality Flacs. With S2 being a thing for a while now I am curious if there are any plans to start supporting higher quality Flac files? I guess this is mostly a question to Sonos staff, and I know it has been asked before. Just curious if anything has changed since then.
Is there away to tell sonos to recognize subfolders in when setting up Music Library Settings?
As title said. Recently connected music from one laptop and had no issues. Trying to add from a 2nd laptop on same network and cant do it. I have read many threads about the SMB issues and have tried all the fixes detailed in those threads to no avail. Any support would be great. Diagnostic report submitted: 1136617533.Thanks!
Sometimes when I go to play an album through Sonos from my Apple music library I find that the odd track is “greyed out” and is skipped when playing the album. Here is an example: Track 6 from this album is missing when viewed from Sonos. However if I go to the same album in iTunes, or the native Music app on my iPhone or iPad, the track is present and plays normally. It is only missing when viewed from Sonos. This particular album is in my library by virtue of iTunes Match, and I can’t see anything different about this track. All tracks show up in iTunes as “Matched” and I can’t see anything unusual about track 6.I am aware that Apple sometimes block individual tracks so that they cannot be played from Apple Music, but this does not appear to be one of those cases. It is fine in Apple Music.
I have a turntable (With a built in preamp) with a USB line out connection. Would it work to run a USB to Ethernet converter to a Sonos One speaker in order to play the record player through my connected Sonos system? I know I can run line in through the Amp or Play 5, but don’t have a need for another speaker nor a desire to drop 650 bucks on Amp to use it for no other reason than as a bridge.
Hi all, i just bought a Sonos system with the Arc, sub and Sonos one.iblove them all!my questions it’s when playing music, is it possible to play only with the Sonos one as Stereo system without the sub and the soundbar? thank you.
Anybody else getting the problem when Apple Music lists fails to sync with Sonos. In particular ‘recently added’ not showing up in the Sonos app? Really frustrating and driving me back to my physical collection and alternative set ups.
Can you please make the YTM playlist simply sort alphabetically? Anything would be better than the random order presented currently. Thanks
Everything I have found says that Sonos Connect sold after 2016 should be S2 compatible? I bought two Connect in 2017, one on October 5 and another on October 7. Both were sold by Amazon Inc directly (not a 3rd party seller) but the Sonos S1 app says only one is S2 supported? I paid the exact same price for both of them and they look identical yet in the About My System they are clearly differentS2 compatible is Series ID: D100 and hardware 1.22.1.4-1.1S1 compatible is Series ID: C100 and hardware 1.17.5.5-1.1 Did I get ripped off?
HiI have been using Sonos one product for more than a year now and with occasional hiccups it was mostly working fine. However after I recently updated both Sonos and Apple TV, I am having connection issues. Sonos does appear when attempting to connect with Apple TV but as soon as it connects it just plays for a second and then goes silent. Playing any songs. Directly with Sonos app is not an issue at all. But it doesn’t connect with my YouTube app on my iPhone X either. It is very frustrating. I have tried to reset my router as well as Sonos and appleTv but avail. I was wondering if anyone of you facing similar issues and have any solution for this problem. Any help will be much appreciated.
Recently upgraded to the s2 app after using the old one for years. i have multiple vlans setup at home, I have Sonos speakers on vlan10 and then my controllers on vlan20. Been working great until I upgraded to s2. I found some ports have been changed which I added to my firewall. This sorted the issue for controllers on iOS and Android, but my windows controller can’t discover the speakers.using wire shark I can see MDns and ssdp being sent out, I have some other devices on vlan10 respond to mdns but none of them are the Sonos speakers. any ideas?
Since version 12.1 (60381140) of the iOS S2 app, on fresh starts (initial run, after force quit or idle eviction) I’ve been prompted to ‘Add a voice assistant’ every time. I never want to set up either of the options available, and would very much like to not have to dismiss the prompt randomly.
I recently purchased the Sonos app 2nd edition to play music on my patio speakers. Unfortunately the amp can only work with the S1 app while everything else I had works on the S2 app. I’m guessing due to this and not wanting to spend the money for the upgrade, I need to have everyone back on the S1 app. Anyone know what I need to do to do this? Do I have to delete the Sonos S2 app and add all of my products to the S1? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I have two play one’s, play 3, beam and an Ikea speaker. I’m Sonos from the begging and thought it was great until S2.I had a bridge (as that came packaged with Sonos early days) and when I migrated to S2 and completed the compatibility test the bridge was the only thing not compatible. Not wanting to spend another £99 and having a £200 dual band router i removed the old bridge. I had lots of problems with the S2 app not see the devices, read the support articles and setup a dedicated “sonos” network on my router on 2.4 and connected the units through that. I’m so frustrated with the whole inconsistency of my setup now Ive had enough of it. The app will randomly show me all my system then the next time it will be minus the Beam. The two play ones I use for surround rears disconnect themselves. I have re-added more then twice now and i got up today and the left speaker had reverted to its old standalone config before i paired them up?I understand the need to move forward but i pretty mu
I like to listen to radio planeta from spain from my sonos in the UK. Its stopped playing along with other stations. Any idea why?
We have two Sonos setups, one in our apartment/office and one in our farm-house. Both sites are connected with VPN and use different IP-networks (192.168.17.0/24 for apartment and 192.168.16.0/24 for the farm).Since the Controller application or iOS apps are connecting to the last known IP, we have firewall rules blocking the Sonos-devices from sending traffic in the VPN tunnel so the iOS app will be slow to start when moving between sites since it is scanning the local network. This has been working for years. Now after the 12.1 update we have noticed that the Music Library settings are the same at both sites, leading to problems for us since the NAS:es at each site are not reachable due to the firewall in the VPN. Both system list the NAS in the 192.168.16.0 network when before 12.1 they listed the local NAS. I have tried removing the Music library setting and re-adding at each site, but the setting shows up at each site leading me to think it travels now with the iOS app instead of b
As the topic states, this started happening recently and it is completely unwanted and IMHO inappropriate. Anyone else having a problem with this on the current Sonos controller (both MacOS and iOS)?
I have just been advised by Google that the Google Play Music service will be suspended later this year and replaced by YouTube Music. Their advice is to transfer my Google Play Music library to YouTube Music, and they have provided tools to do so. My question is this. My current Google Play Music subscription is a free one, providing storage for a 50k song library which I can access directly through my Sonos systems. Sonos only currently provides YouTube Music access to Premium (chargeable) accounts. So with this change, will Sonos extend its support to free YouTube Music account holders?
How come Sonos takes away a feature that came WITH the product??? And without even asking their fellow consumers!!! We are the ones who buy their products!!! It’s been months since i can’t play my Itunes music. If i can’t play my music on a Sonos speakers, why would I buy it?PUT IT BACK.
