Controllers and Music services

So I own 4 play:1 for a couple of years now and this always happened. I’m trying to figure out if it’s fixable because I’m considering the addition of the Sonos Move to the set-up.  Problem is simple : I get the message that the app cannot connect to the sonos product at any random moment. I get the message when the music is actually playing and let’s say I want to change the song, or just pause it for some reason. I thought it was my phone that was getting old, but then I still get the message after an upgrade to an iPhone 11. However, I do not encounter that issue with my wife’s Samsung Galaxy S10 (is there a known issue with IOS?). That brings me to think that it is not an network/wifi problem. This problem prevented me to get the Beam and before looking elsewhere for a Sonos Move equivalant, I figured I could ask here. I’m one of those who actually like the Sonos App and the combination of all my streaming services. Also, I don’t mind the price tag of the Move, but at this price

OK, why isn’t TIDAL available as a music service to select in the SONOS2 app?  What’s going on between SONOS and Tidal, I am so confused.  I just signed up for the TIDAL $2.00 service for 90 days at the high end sound service and I can’t access SONOS through their application via iPhone, iPad, Apple MacBook Pro, nada…...help!

I have a large .mp3 library.  Search works for normal kind of album, an album by a single artist works fine.  There I use the Artist for the “Album Artist” Tag and the Artist in the “Artist” Tag.  This works well when there is a song on the album featuring another Artist, I use the Artist and add the Featuring artist in the Artist.  The problem is a compilation like the 2019 Grammy Album; “Album Artist” tag is “Various Artists” and I use the Artist singing the song in the “Artist” tag.  So, the song is listed under “Album Artist” and not Artist making that Artist unfindable if I don’t have an album by the artist.  When I look at the song info, it shows the “artist” as the Artist, not “Various Artist.  Frustrating,  Can’t be sure, but I think the search was working in Sonos V1 and stopped working in Sonos V2.  I deleted the index and rebuilt it to no avail.  Not sure what else to try.

Not sure if anyone canHelp me but I thought I’d ask here anyway so I recently updated to a new Sonos app and it told me to get rid of my bridge which I did. And did a blue tooth update and everything was fine could play my music but now I can’t play something from my phone on any of my speakers?  I have a playbar, 2 of the little cube shape ones and a sub only updated the Apple App as i was having issues. So cannot play over WiFi or Bluetooth anymore, should i try resetting it? 

Is there a feature to schedule Night Mode on and off? I often turn it on past 10 when people are likley sleeping but forget to turn it off. It doesn’t seem like I’m the only one asking for this feature. Can we get this implemented in the next release ASAP? Thanks

In my Sonos S2 App (iOS) ½ the screen is used up at the top by a “Setup” option. Annoyingly this wants me to connect a pair of surrounds I have already setup with my Arc to one of the 3 beams we have on the network. On top of that I could do without being asked to try out Sonos Radio all the time which is also there. Hitting the x just gets rid of them briefly before they return.

Hello,I have (2) Play 5 Gen 1 speakers on an Orbi mesh wifi network (Main router + 2 satellites)Speaker #1 is connected to wifi satellite #1Speaker #2 is connected to wifi satellite #2Neither speaker is connected to the main routerIn that configuration, I can see both speakers on the network, and stream music to both if I use the Pandora Music player app.  However, if I look for the speakers in the Sonos S1 Controller app, I can’t see Speaker #2.If I move Speaker #2 closer to the main router such that it gets its wifi connection directly from the router then I can see both speakers in the S1 app.Both speakers have been rebooted, and as I mention, I can see and play music on the speakers with other applications just not S1.The reason why I care is that I’m trying to enable Alexa to stream music to the speakers but I think that b/c the S1 controller can’t see the speaker then Alexa is unable to use that S1 connection to stream the music. (no idea if this is true but it is my guess as I a

 Non-techie/ technophobe here! What are the latest software version for the S2 app please?Same for my S1's and Sub please?

I’m setting up my 1st iPort XPress. I get it connected to my Wifi. The next step is “Choose your Sonos”. I get the error “No Sonos players found”. I can then switch over to my Sonos app and see all of my Sonos components.    Any ideas?

I see this has been requested in the past, but those threads are closed. I want to keep the flame alive” Sonos - you need to bring back the "I'm tired of this song" feature when playing Pandora!  

I have several Sonos speakers & a Connect Gen 2 connected to a Bose speaker. I have the Sonos app on my iPad & iPhone & on my Mac. I am able to control all the speakers perfectly using any of these 3 devices, but does anybody know how I can get the music to also play on my Mac speakers when using the Sonos Mac app? Is this possible at all?  Many thanks, Ross

How do I edit ‘My Top Tracks’ under Deezer?   Somehow there are a bunch of tracks in their that I don’t like, but I can’t see any way to get rid of them.The tracks showing in the Deezer site as ‘Favourite Tracks’ appear in Sonos, under the Deezer service as ‘Favourite Tracks’ (all good there)However, in Sonos under Deezer -> My Music -> My Top Tracks I have a different list of tracks that I want to edit.  I can’t see any matching list in Deezer (using the website).  My Top Tracks isn’t a regular Sonos playlist that I can edit.  Any ideas where this list is coming from?The real problem is that Deeer is putting these tracks into my Flow...  

Hello. Artist page STILL doesn’t exist on spotify accounts through the controller.  I found this old thread started from over 2 year ago and the issue is still not fixed. Is every station you listen to on Sonos HD radio streamed in HD or just a few stations?

With an update today (now version 12.2 - build 61182310) the Mac desktop app has lost a lot of shortcuts that used to be present if you right clicked the Dock icon - like Mute/Play/Stop. They were really useful to not have to find the app itself when you needed a quick action. Are they missing because of a bug or a deliberate choice to reduce functionality?

My Sonos system worked perfectly with Google Play but I have recently had to transfer to You Tube Music. My library appears for albums & artists but the Songs section just gives an error message and is empty. I want to be able to shuffle my library but can’t without Songs 

I just went through a laborious several hours of setting up a separate S1 system of 3 legacy Play: 5 (gen 1) and 1 Connect.  I had to set all 4 devices to factory since I couldn’t upgrade S1 to get the Removal tool.  The I set up the new S1 network under my wife’s email since it wouldn’t allow me to use my existing email which was in use with S2.  Everytime I open the S2 Controller app it tries to link to the S1 devices and asks me to remove these in order to use S2.  How do I get S2 controller to link to a system that is under a different email account

Just started investigating playlists.. using Android… don't seem to be able to create a playlist from music on my device, also don't seem to be able to create a playlist. Using the s2 app. Any pointers gratefully received...

Heywhy dont people join this discussion and support a request / insist Sonos create a backup option for ANDROID for sonos saves of playlists and songs etc. VOTE 1 here.No negative campers please. It could, in the simplest form be a text dump to email file or something. then things could be recreated manually at least by users.  The commands are there in API’s but Im not a SOAP or Android programmer. “get playlist etc” would be one command and dump these to a txt file…..

Ok so I get the idea of using SonosNet to create a better/Mesh network just for Sonos, and of course this helps with speakers that are further apart being both visible and controllable - however is there any way that the app itself can connect to the speakers via SonosNet?  I am guess the answer is no, but we can all live in hope, I have a home office and at least one bedroom that is out of range if the main wifi router, I understand that if this not possible then I am likely best running off/creating a mesh home network instead. 

MacOS Sonos S1 client really dragging down resources. I am seeing it ~1.2GB RAM while under Windows 10 only using 75MB. Anyone else struggling wth performance issues on MacOS?   

So I thought I understood how to take an S2-updated device back to S1, but it is not working for me.I am in my vacation home which has a Symfonisk setup on S1 and works fine.I brought a Sonos One with me, which had been upgraded to S2 at home. I factory reset it, then attempted to Add it to my Symfonisk system here, but the S1 app refuses. I get this screen:I have done this before, has something changed now and it is no longer possible to go-back, even when you have a working S1 system? (And I am well aware that the One is both S1 and S2 compatible).I really don’t want to move my vacation system to S2.

Hi,Is there any way I can get the same choice of music via Apple Music through Sonos as what I can via the Apple app on my phone ?I'm not sure if Ive explained that well enough but I have a lot more music ie: playlists, best of, Acoustic greats, mood music etc to choose from with the app but i can only Bluetooth the app to a car or portable Bluetooth speaker etc. Any way can get the same choice of apple music through sonos ?
