Hello,I have a Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB that I bought a year ago but haven’t used in several months. Now when I turn it on, the turntable does not spin. It seems to me like I am missing a piece that would insert into the silver wheel that then turns the clear plastic turntable. The silver wheel is spinning but is not in contact with the clear turntable so the turntable does not spin. It seems like I am missing a piece but I’m not sure and can’t seem to find a manual or anything online. Is anyone able to offer any insight? Thanks so much
I have a Sonos Beam connected via ethernet and a Symfonisk Lamp connected via WiFi.I always used the Airplay share from Apple Music to play on my system and until now it has worked quite reliably. But a few days ago, my Beam stopped working, it says ”Unable to connect to Sonos Beam” when I try to start AirPlay. The Symfonisk Lamp still works and also when I try to start music from the Sonos app, everything works fine. The things I tried:Remove the ethernet from the Beam and try to connect via WiFi Turn off and on bluetooth, WiFi, airplane mode Restart everything: speakers, router, iPhone Start to play from a different device: I tried from an iPad and a Mac, but the same resultAll my software is on the latest update. Any idea what else I could do? Thanks!
Hi All,I was hoping for some advice from the community.I have 4 ceiling speakers (non-Sonos) connected to my Sonos Amp but want to purchase a wireless speaker like Sonos Five to augment the room sound. If I play my music through the Sonos App on my iphone using Spotify for example, will there be a lag between the wireless speaker and the 4 wired ceiling speakers? I would appreciate any advice. Sincerely,John
I am interested in the Sonos Port. I am interested in connecting my record player to the port to play on my Sonos speakers. I am also interested in connecting my amp and speakers to the port so I can stream music to my Sonos speakers and my amp/speakers. Can I use both the input and output connections on the port at the same time? Thanks
Hi !I just received a new Port to work with my Pro-Ject turntable ( purchased at Sonos...)All seems well, easy to set up and recognized. Line-in is all set up in my Sonos Input Services. Lights are all white on my Port….. I even checked all my System Preferences, and it all seems in-line.The hitch, there is no sound. It looks like it is playing in all rooms, etc…..HELP!!Thx, Jim
I have a new pro jet turntable and I thought I could use it wirelessly with my sonos system. Apparently not.Can I get a second port and use it that way? I don't want the TT where My Rack of equipment is.O r should I purchase a Victroia TT?Thanks Dean
Hi Sonos community! My very first piece of Sonos gear is an Amp used for a 50/50 mix of streamed movies and music with my existing floor speakers. These will be my only speakers for now.During setup I choose TV Fronts as the mode over Stereo Pair for no real reason other than wanting to confirm HDMI ARC functionality first.Everything seems to be working for both movies and music but I’m curious what the difference was between those choices. I’m also curious why I can’t seem to find these mode options in the settings to play around with or change if I wanted. I can’t even find any references to these settings in the documentation beyond noting that you have to make the choice during initial setup.Does anyone have any additional information on these two modes and whether they are relevant to my setup and use case at this point?
My Equipment: Sonos BeamSonos PortTurntable (w/ amp)Yamaha Receiverw/ Bose bookshelf speakers (pair)My Setup:I have my TV connected to a Sonos Beam on one side of the room, and on the opposite side of the room, behind the couch/TV against the wall, I have a turntable connected to a receiver with two bookshelf speakers. I use that setup to listen to my vinyl records and I use my Beam to watch TV and stream music digitally. My Goal: I bought the Sonos Port with the understanding that it would allow me to do both by combining the two on the Sonos network. Ideally, I’d like to connect the Port to the receiver/turntable so that I can listen to vinyl AND digital audio through the receiver’s bookshelf speakers AND Beam. Given that, I was under the impression that I would then be able to apply the same concept to TV audio, where the bookshelf speakers act like two surround sound speakers…. Is that not the case??? If so, what setup would I need to achieve this?
purchased and set up a sonos beam gen 2 - no issues and quality sounds.Next dilemma is permanent mounting position.common sense is telling me to purchase a sanus WSSBM1 bracket for mounting direct to tv.would prefer sonos wall mount bracket so expert advice from the community is needed.bottom of tv is 12cm from wall, if the beam was mounted underneath, would this have an impact on sound quality (assume height audio ‘could’ be affected)Help appreciated
For posterity and FYI. About 5 years ago I did a Wyred4sound upgrade on a ZP90. One of the concerns from posters was impacts on reliability. 5 years later that ZP 90 is still in service, now as a ROON endpoint. Wyred4Sound does upgrades on Zone Players and Ports.
Hi Everyone. I have 3 nos of Sonos Amp and 1 nos of Sonos Arc connected to Wifi network (Not Wired). 2 Sonos Amp and the Sonos Arc are located in Living Room (and connected to Living Room Access Point). And 1 Sonos Amp is located in Dining Room (and connected to Dining Room Access Point). All the sonos device are located very near to the access point and so wifi signal strength is not a matter of concern here. Sonos Arc is connected to TV via HDMI Arc port. All Wifi access point are Unifi U6 Mesh. All the access points are powered by a single non-managed POE switch which in turn connected directly to the Router. I have used the defaults settings of the Unifi Network. Now the end user is complaining that there are intermittent pauses while streaming music on the Sonos amp. While searching of possible cause, I came to know that there are several threads about possible incompatibility for Unifi Network and Sonos System. But I couldn’t conclude anything from them. So can anyone help me out
Hello, I have just purchased a property that has two in ceiling speakers. What do I need to get the speakers working? There are also a set of wires coming from a cupboard nearby which I believe are for the speakers.
Adding many components to my Sonos system the last 10 years, setting up another at work, my home system no longer works. I have tried many things since it stopped working 2 weeks ago. I can see the bridge plugged into the router, I’ve changed to new Cat 6 cables and alternated ports, rebooted 100 times, followed the Sonos instructions, used the AI support, but just get ‘Unable to connect to Sonos’. I have added permissions per IOS 14. My work system, using the same phone, remains perfect. Still nothing at home. Would so much appreciate ideas on how to fix.
Can someone please help me concerning connecting my Sons Port to my receiver. I have connected the port to various “out” possibilities in the receiver. The sound which comes out of the SA=onos One SL speaker is very faint. Can someone please advise me where on which Receiver “out” I should be plugging the Port to?Big thanks for your assistance
Hi!~Okay, I have a new turntable ( purchased through SONOS ) that I am trying to connect with my system ( which is pretty straightforward...)For the holidays I received a new AMP and a PORT to get me going. Do I need both? I really just need my turntable to speak to my speakers…. HELP!, Jim
I bought a house with two Connects, both dated 1504. Using S2, one of them connects seamlessly with Airplay, one does not. I've heard that 2015 is the year that certain compatibilities changed, perhaps even in April of ‘15. Is it possible that I have one device that's "modern," another that isn't? Or is there a different/better explanation?
Hello,I recently purchased the Pro-Ject TI and hooked it up directly to my Sonos Play:5. For the first two weeks, no issues. Now, however, when I play records, a light static sound comes through the speakers. When I put the volume up or down, the static goes up and down too. When I physically hold down the “earthing connection” screw, the static mostly goes away, but is still there. There’s no “pull” on the cable. They are put in with plenty of “give.” Has anyone had the same issue or know how to resolve this? Any insight would be appreciated!

Hi I’m looking to eliminate/minimize the delay between audio input and sound out on my stereo grouped play:5 speakers. Currently the app gives me the lowest delay of 75ms. Is there any way we can get a lower delay with audio-input ? do I need to buy a Sound bar to get to 30ms ? Are there other options or other brands that offer less delay?
Hello, I recently acquired my first turntable and I am wildly unfamiliar how to optimize the setup. I went with the Project T1 SB which I am running through a Sonos connect and Dynaudio Focus XD 60 Active speakers. The player was purchased new, and the instructions say I just needed to install the drive belt and platter, the cartridge and VTF were already factory set. Upon playing my first record, the stylus immediately skates to the center of the record, once it stops there the sound is better, but highly unstable. It’s crackly, skips a little bit and the volume is not consistent. Any idea what the issue is? How do I go about troubleshooting this and calibrating it? Secondly, is there anything I should check regarding initial setup? The drive belt was very simple to install. Thanks for the help, total noob with this new toy!
Hello, I am having issues getting the audio to work through my current setup. This is all pretty new to me so it could be a totally noob issue.I have a Pro-ject SB T1, Sonos Connect and Dynaudio Focus XD 60 Active Speakers. We also have a Sonos One speaker in my wife’s office.I have both speakers connected to each other and line out into the Sonos Connect. That setup works just fine, and I can easily hear music in my wife’s office. I connected the R/L Cable from the back of the Pro-ject 1, into the back of the Sonos connect line input (as website says) - no other cables into any speaker. The sonos app recognizes the line out connection from the app. The turntable is on and I can’t get any audio out of either speaker set. What am I missing? I went this route as it didn’t seem like I needed any additional components. Thanks for your help!
Recently my Playbar and paired play 3 surround speakers have stopped working correctly when using certain apps through my Apple TV. Hulu works fine. Netflix works fine. However other apps such as Disney plus and YouTube tv play the audio distorted crackling and muted. Stranger yet is certain channels on YouTube tv the audio is fine but other channels the audio issues persist. When switching hdmi inputs to a ps5 the audio is fine. Any help would be great
Slightly unclear if the port will only connect one phono item i.e. i’ll need multiple ports to connect my old system to the sonos system and / or connect through a pre amp?
