This is my second Boost, this one has disappeared from my system. Not getting the changing colour lights when trying to re-connect, just a plain white light.Do I just order a another one, or spend endless time dealing with Sonos support over this?I am using a Sonos Port which works properly when connected directly to my router?.
I have happily enjoyed Sonos for many years but am currently experiencing a never ending series of issues with my system. Something is not right in my network. Symptoms are constantly disappearing rooms, network connection speed errors, playback skips and stops on streaming radio, Deezer (hifi), music library, etc.My system includes six players on SonosNet with a Connect to router via ethernet. Router is Netgear Orbi RB50 with two satellites. Service is gigabit with WiFi speedtests in the range of 375 mbps. WiFi is channel 1. SonosNET channel 11. I have rebooted the system and brought devices back one at a time to try to get things stable. Changed channels. But nothing has worked. Please help. Diagnostic 789026404
I have been trying to figure out the sonos api over the past few days, but unfortuanetly have hit a road block. I have already gotten my tokens and room names and and favorites Id, but when I send the curl request to play a song I get the error described above.Curl Code : curl -X POST -H "Content-Type: application/json" -H "Authorization: Bearer {TOKEN}" "https://api.ws.sonos.com/control/api/v1/groups/RINCON_48A6B88A5B14014XX:XXXXXXXXXX/favorites" --data @play.jsonI keep the body in a .json file called play which contains the code:{ "favoriteId":2, "playOnCompletion":true }I have not been able to find any documentation on this issue online, so any and all help is very appreciated.
for the last few days, anytime I try to play any song from Spotify in my Sonos speaker, I get the error “unable to play {song title} - the connection to Spotify was lost”. I have seen other posts about this error message, but they seem to mostly either be attributed to a local network issue or a temporary outrage. I am fairly confident that this is not attributable to a local network issue, because the problem is consistent on Spotify but does not happen for other streaming services. It also does not seem to be a temporary outage since this has been going on for several days now.The issue is isolated to one of the two speakers in my Sonos system. What else could cause this? I’ve tried disconnecting and reconnecting the Shopify account to no avail, and don’t know what to try next.
Voice Services not working suddenly. Neither Alexa or Google assistant can connect to Sonos Ones. GA says “can’t connect” and Alexa show the speakers offline. I have tried absolutely EVERY troubleshooting step without success. Of course, Sonos support unavailable till Tuesday. Any thing I might be missing? Also…no microphone light on.
Sonos won't stop playing music from my phone- even when I turn off my phone and unplug my WiFi router. No streaming services connected. I can pause via speaker button but can't control via app. Any idea why the Sonos controller app doesn't control Sonos?
I have one Sonos in my bedroom, and can only connect to it when in the same room physically. Even if I start it when I'm on the room, when I leave it disconnects. Any suggestions?
I have only two components, a Sonos Boost directly connected to my router and a Sonos Port connected by Wi-Fi from the Boost in my listening Room. This arrangement has previously worked together well, but now the Boost has disappeared and I can only get the Sonos Port working again by moving it and connecting directly to my router.Any tips for a solution would be appreciated?
When Sonos was launched, it worked very easily. Plug in and play! Now it is a single mess that you have to replace both the one and the other to make things work well. It stops and chops - NO this is not getting better and better but worse and worse - time to find something new ?? Or is it just me who experiences it that way?
Hello All,My Sonos app 13.1 on Android 11 phone is failing to find my Sonos Arc which is connected via Ethernet cable and my Sonos Move connected via WiFi. Both devices are replying to pings and I am still able to select each speaker to play to from all my streaming applications. But as the Sonos app is not finding the speakers I am unable to group them together.I have tried resetting the application settings and now am unable to “join existing system” and when I try to sign into my account it fails stating it can’t find my Sonos system. I have not made any network changes and have turned off the 5GHz band as I read this could cause issues switching between frequencies. Now when I try to log back into the application it states “Network Problem” and to check my internet connection and check the time on my device to ensure they are correct. And a full reboot of my router and speakers has been completed multiple times. Any more suggestions would be appreciated. CheersKip
I’ve seen some prior discussion on this, with no specific resolution.I have two identical Connect S15 units. Both are on wired connections, not WiFi. One recently started going offline (does not even respond to ping). This repairs on reset, the unit works for a few minutes then goes offline again. No changes to the network, the other unit works fine. I’ve tried swapping their positions in the house, no change. Factory reset didn’t help.Sounds like a HW failure, are there any easy repairs?
I have upgraded from an Asus WiFi router to an Asus ZenWifi Mesh system. It’s running in Tri-Band SmartConnect mode with a wired backhaul. The “airtime fairness” system is disabled. (It was by default)Have tried going through the reconnection steps in the Sonos app on an Android and an iOS device.Connecting the phone to the 2.4Ghz band didn’t seem to make any difference. The app goes through the steps involving pressing the top two buttons and the pressing the top and bottom buttons until each speaker chimes (more of a chirp) and the light flashes orange. The first few times the Play 1 and Play 3 process has completed fine but when I next reopen the Sonos app it’s once again showing greyed out options.Rebooting the Asus hasn’t helped.Only turning on the primary router hasn’t helped. I can see that both Sonos speakers are connected in the Asus router network map. I have tied wired ethernet connection with the Play 1 and that works but once removed the Sonos app again reports it’s unable to
Hi, I am on my iPhone trying to log out of the account linked to my Sonos system to log into another account in the same phone but it will not forget the old account and/or let me sign into a new one. The email address is pre saved when I go to the log on screen and can’t be deleted. I have followed all the steps of logging out, changing system ownership and changed my new account password 3 times so I am 100 percent sure the details are correct. Can anyone help please??! thanks!!
Hi,I have a Sonos Amp connected to a Preamp. The Preamp has a turntable and a CD player.I link the Sonos Amp to different speakers around my house (a paired set of Play 5s + Sub, and two Beams)I have been unable to play music from these sources because the Line-In is not working. In the app I get a message saying “Line-In has been disabled on this Sonos system”. However, I have not disabled anything. My set up was working flawlessly yesterday and I haven’t faced this problem before.I rebooted my router and the Amp, jointly and separately, in different orders. I’ve also checked the Line-In connections. Nothing appears to work.I requested a diagnostic report. The confirmation number is 2146337480.Thank you very much.
Hi,I recently upgraded my broadband and router and since then I have lost the system on the app. If I log into the app it tells me that it is “Unable to connect to Sonos Let’s fix it”. If I select then takes me through some steps and I select one of my products, press the buttons and connect. The App then says “Sonos” Wants to Join Wi-Fi Network “SONOS”?” so I click Join and after a short while I get the message “Unable to join the network "SONOS"”. I’m the told my mobile device couldn’t connect to my Playbar and to move closer and make sure it’s powered onI’ve checked all the App permissions and they are OK. The devices work on my TV (Playbar, Sub and two Play:1’s), in the Kitchen via the Alexa App (Play) and bedroom (Play). I’ve deleted the App and reloaded it with no joy. I don’t have a Wi-Fi Network called “SONOS” and don’t recall ever seeing one.Help!! I’m rapidly getting Tourettes
Hi recently subscribed to the Plex premium service and anything on my mobile works fine on Sonos. It's just music on my WD NAS won't work. If accessing the Plex app via the Sonos controller it works fine.Any ideas? Assume it's a NAS setting rather than the app.
A minor question: in applying the latest update to my twelve unit S1 system, I ran into a problem that was resolved once a bridge was powered off per Sonos troubleshooting advice, which also recommends permanently deleting the bridge. I managed to get all units updated by some further antics, and now all - including both bridges - are on the latest S1 version. Why though is the bridge in such disfavour? I find that my bridge units, one of which is also the root bridge, work fine and serve a purpose...and when they don’t if hardware fails, I won’t complain. But till then?
When trying to play songs from my Liked songs library in Spotify, I get intermittent swapping errors of “an error occurred 701” or simply “unable to add song to queue”.All other playlists work without issue.I have approx 4000 songs in my library however in researching this problem, it looks like a previous person advised that it should be able to accommodate ~6.75k (+/- depending on metadata.Could someone assist in confirming how I can get around this error?
I've a Sonos ONE SL pair using the Sonos S2 app with a weekday alarm. I have "Virgin Radio UK" set to come on at 07:27 Mon-Fri which is set through the Sonos Radio Station service. However, one or two days in the week, a completely different (random?) radio station plays instead. Or, the Sonos chime. Today, I had Radio X, another time I had the BBC World service. The app incorrectly reports that I am playing my chosen station. It is not a particular day it happens. It always seems to be one or two days in the week it happens, or the whole week passes through playing my chosen station as expected. Is there a known issue/bug as to why a different station to the one defined is played at the set alarm time? It appears that this is a long running issue that is now probably ignored as an agravation to many others. Also, this issue appears to be repeated across your community channels for the past 2 years! Network interference has been cited as a cause. My system is fully ethernet wired back to
Hi. I have some slight audio dropouts in my Sonos One SLs that i use as rears in a Setup of Arc+Sub+LS+RS.As my main listening position is usually close to the RS rear, this is obv. somewhat annoying when watching movies. My diagnostic number: 121101499Setup: Arc is wired into a FRITZ!Box 7590 (latest firmware). Rest is on SonosNet.I checked with the FRITZBox which channel has the least amount of devices and the strongest other accesspoints seem to be on channels 6 and 11.In the app, i set SonosNet to Channel 1 and my router to Channel 11. However, no matter what SonosNet channel i pick, i still have a lot of dropped packets in the /support/review site. I’m left with two ideas:don’t use SonosNet hardwire the rearsBoth of which i would rather no do if the problem can be solved by a different way. What’s the suggested approach to fix this? Could this also be a hardware defect by the Arc or something? Is there any way to find more information about why a lot of packets get dropped? Thanks
Two days ago, my Spotify playlists started skipping forward to the next song within ten seconds of playing the first song. Prior to that I have never experienced this problem and nothing has changed in my home network setup. If I go back to the first song after it skips forward, it will play through. Anyone else experiencing similar issues?
I have a static noise or buzzing from playbar when i connect it to power. The noise is always there. Sounds like i high buzz. Can not use as sound is terrible. Even when playing buzz . Sounds like it comming from power source.

I've started a summer job and the worksite system recently upgraded from S1 controller to the S2. I opened the S1 app, was directed to S2 app (gold icon) and now I'm getting message that the system needs to be updated. Someone else set up the system, there's a different email address listed and ots asking for THAT account info to...idk update the already updated system? How do I login to be able to continue to play music like I could last week using the S1 controller?
Spotify is just flat out not working at all in the Sonos app. Sonos S2 platform, all Sonos amps hardwired into the network. Normally generally have had no prior issues with Spotify integration & use in the Sonos UI< until very recent days. Reauthorize Spotify & it does nothing. Spotify app itself is working fine. Some issue between Sonos & Spotify. Deleting & reinstalling apps doesn’t fix anything either. Diagnostic report #: 711941355Help! Thank you!
