Thsse two points may be linked or may be separate issues. I already have two devices regisfered to me which are part of my regular network,. I have just bought a third device on ebay but two problems exist first it only seems to work when connected to an ethernet cable and second i cant seem to add it to my network and when digging into the settings it shows it is controlled by the original owners email

ANY THOUGHTS PLEASE?

Perhaps try a factory reset of the device, as described in the below link and then do the setup again:

After the factory reset it should connect unless there is an issue with the Sonos radio.

If there is submit a diagnostic while you have it connected by wire and pass the number to Sonos with a request they look into it.

Thanks Stanley. Ken had already responded and the Factory reset was the perfect solution
