I have recently changed router and have gone through the pain of having to factory reset 4 x Play 1 and a Soundbar. The Play 3 will not factory reset but I will figure that out. When I reset the Port using the SONSO App it has been added to a new system rather than adding it to the one with the Play 1s and Play bar, even though it is on the same wi-fi network. Resetting the port was a painful process as it is buried at the back of a cabinet. Is there a way to move the Port from one system to another? I have had SONOS for over 11 years and I am seriously close to getting rid of it.
I have been messing around with various configurations for connections with my Sonos amp and would the outcomes experiences and see what other users have done.My Current Setup:Sonos amp Project Debut EVO 2 Schitt Mani 2 phono Pre Amp Tangent CDII RCA switch box to feed both the Evo & Tangent in via the RCA line in on the AMP. B&W 606 Speakers (These occasionally are set as surrounds for an ARC which is my main TV sound output, but are predominantly for music use only)This has been my setup for the last few years and i was very happy. However, I recently upgraded to the Project EVO with the Schitt Mani 2 from a Project T1 phono with built in pre amp. When i did this I found I had to adjust the line level down to 8 get the best sound from the turntable, but would need to increase it back to level 10 for the CDII. Much as I love streaming I still enjoy active listening on physical formats so want to get the best setup for all my listening needs. So i did a little experiment usin
Hi, i don’t need my boost anymore and I want to sell it. How can I reset it?
What is the best way to connect a Port so I can feed my CD player, turntable and Sonos music into my hi-fi system AND link these sources to other Sonos speakers in the house?
Hi, I’m looking to use BT headphones by connecting my Port to a BT transmitter. I’m not sure if there is a cable to do this or if I need to buy a converter? My transmitter has a digital optical Input but the Port looks like a Coax Output. This is new to me so trying to avoid ordering the wrong part.Any product links appreciated.
My Sonos Amp has a buzzing/humming sound coming from inside the unit. It is very audible even when no music is playing and speakers are disconnected. My local shop and the Sonos support have been unable to resolve the issue.Because it is out of warranty, Sonos will only offer a 30% discount on a new one. I am very hesitant to buy another when this issue could happen again (it seems to be a known issue when searching communities).Very disappointing response from Sonos. This is a high end piece of kit and should be backed up by Sonos. Anyone had this issue or had a better resolution?
I don’t think I will get much sympathy but here goes. We remodelled our living area last year and my husband would not do the research or perhaps did not care if the speakers (for surround sound) were hidden in the wall behind the primary seating area(which was my desire but not his). As a result the wiring /speakers which could have been in the wall are not.So we have two Era 300 white speakers and one white sub woofer (either the gen 3 or 4)- I do not know which. The modern, minimalist style condo (all white neutral colors) is open plan with the following rooms all open to each other and very few full height walls: living room(with the big TV, sonos beam or Arc(?) below the TV, an adjacent den, kitchen and dining room. The sofa is against a 18’ h wall. Ceiling is sloped. Other than the TV wall, which is actually not a solid wall but a custom wood 16’H room divider directly across from the sectional, there is no other wall nearby other than glass patio sliders. I did not want to ha
I currently have in wall speakers, no wireless. How many amps and ports do I need to drive all 8 sets of speakers? I want to put 2 rooms/sets of speakers together X 4 (LR & Kitchen, Outdoor kitchen & patio, Master BR & Bath, Study & Upstairs patio.) I understand I can parallel the sets on one amp so I need 4 amps. How many ports do I need? I also have CD player, turntable and I wish to either hardwire or bluetooth an Ipod touch. Also can I use Audiosource AMP 100 instead of SONOS amp? AMP 100 has A & B selectors.
Hi all, When i’m streaming music from my old connect, which is connect to a cd player or a turntable, the sound is having some little drops. Just a fraction of a second every 10 secs orso.I changed the channel in the sonos S2 app from 1 to 6 or 11. This changing did not help. The connect is in the same room as my other sonos speakers.Any advice on this would be great!
Hi I want to use the SONOS Connect to connect my conventional HIFI set to the SONOS environment. However upon putting a cable in the Connect box the SONOS system starts to make a "buzzing" sound ( like one used to have when a record player was not grounded correctly)The buzz is not always there nor is the volume not constantThe buzzing can be reproduced by actually touching the end of the cable that is connected to the Connect.I tried another cable with the same result. buzzing as well. What can be the cause of this annoying buzz, and how to overcome it? when actually connecting my HIFI set to the Connect the buzz is clearly audible when playing records BR Bas
After recent updates, my sub 4 and sub mini no longer put out the bass as they did when I first purchased the subs a couple of months ago. I used to keep the subs at a setting of 8, now a setting of 15 doesn’t even hit lows like 8 used to.Nothing has changed in my setup - all speakers are in the same spots. I have retuned, adjusted EQs, and even reset the sub 4 to factor settings. Unfortunately, it’s as if the updates took power away from my subs. Has anyone experienced the same thing? Any suggestions?
Hi how I can connect my Sonos bridge…. Don’t work, I was trying nearly 3 hours… I reset this account and this little box still doesn’t work
Hello team. I’m using a Sonos Connect to connect the Sonos ecosystem to my analog speakers. My current issue is when I use the Sonos app and play Apple Music to my Sonos Connect--so the line out is through my analog speakers--every song at some point it skips slightly. Think of a record skipping on a record player. My setup for the line out is Connect > Mini Amp (Pyle) > non-powered analog speakers. I have tried going from RCA cables between the Connect and Mini Amp, as well as RCA to Digital (using a converter on Amazon). No dice, still does the same thing. My internet bandwidth is strong and I use Sonos Ones and a Beam with no issue. And again, the music doesn’t drop out, so that doesn’t have me think bandwidth. It literally slightly stutters and goes back a millisecond, like a record skipping.Any suggestions would be appreciated. This is so specific that I don’t know if anyone else has experienced, but I’m crossing my fingers!
I’ve connected my mixer to the port I have selected the input in the appI’ve selected the speakersi can see “music” signalenough volume input, output no sound at soeakersany suggestions to check?
Skipping while playing from Music Library has persisted for years & often angered me. For me the fix was finally simple: ethernet cable from desktop (hosting library) to Sonos device.HDD, SSD or USB attached to router with cable to Sonos would work as well.Hosting your library on a wirelessly connected device (e.g. laptop) is likely to be unstable.
Brand new Sonos AMP. Hardwired by ethernet. System audio speakers and active hub. Speakers have been working flawlessly for 5-10y. Playing either Spotify / Line In / Arc in, and amp shuts off after some minutes, red LED blinking. The SUB-output continues to play, so it’s not a network/streaming issue. Trippled checed speaker wiring. Checked speakers with multimeter and they both read 4.1-4.2 Ohm.
Hey.I have an old Sonos Connect:AMP which uses the old app and does not have Bluetooth.I am wondering if I can buy a Bluetooth adapter (looking at the Logitech Bluetooth Audio Adapter), connect it to the AMP and then connect my phone to the adapter to play music.Mostly doing this because the Sonos app does not support a music streaming app I use. Thanks for the help!
I’ve seen a few other posts on this, but nothing very definitive.I have a setup that includes two Amps; both are wired - one directly to my core switch, and one to a switch in my bedroom which is in turn connected to the core switch. Both are using different cable types, and I’ve swapped them out to known working cables to help eliminate that (they tested fine and connected at 2.5GbE for other devices with no errors). Right now, they are on my old switch but I’m moving from a MikroTik setup over to a Ubiquiti setup. I don’t use STP on the MikroTik - but the Ubiquiti use STP to prevent loops in the logical topology (I know I can turn it off, I’d like to not do so).The “Disable WiFi” option is greyed out for both of the Amps. I can see link lights on the back of each Amp (flickering as data comes in/out); the switches report a 100 full-duplex connection. Oddly, I don’t see DHCP via the wired interface for them at all - it’s strange, it’s as if they are connected physically, but the
Background. I’ve got an older system — H80 and H100? Something like that? — connecting to my own speakers around my house, running on the S1 app. I then got some newer Sonos speakers which are in my tv room, running on the new Sonos app.S1 components have needed updates for about a year, but I couldn’t get the updates to work. Error messages, and yes I tried all the Sonos suggestions. Didn’t help. But… the system was working, I didn’t need new features, I figured as long as that continued I didn’t need to update them again. This worked great. Until early Jan this year, the S1 components all stopped working. So I open the S1 app, and it’s telling me I can do everything on the S2 app… but i need to update my components. Ugh.So first question — is this accurate? Will the older components now work on the newer Sonos app? I’m planning on taking my 3-component setup for the s1 items and cutting back to just 1 component. I’m not using two of the components any more at all, I just need
I use my Sonos system most of the time when I go to bed at night. For the past couple of months I can’t just hit the Sonos app, select my source of music and listen. It appears that the tunes are playing because the white line that shows the music advancing is moving along but no sound. I hit the pause button and get a message saying that the pause function isn’t working now, try later. I can usually just try selecting a different station and get some tunes…sometimes. sometimes I have to select several different stations to finally get some music. The system is dropping components again. That used to happen on a regular basis but not at all since the app upgrade. At least until a couple of days ago. Not sure what’s going on.
I’m looking to use two era 100s in stereo config with my SVS subwoofer. Can I use my gen 2/S2 connect amp using the sub output to the SVS and then group with the era’s? Ultimately I need bluetooth to connect the sonos to my peloton.
I’ve got an Rotel A12 integrated amp, with CD Player and Vintage TT attached. The amp drives a pair of Wharfedale speakers in living room. Only streaming I do is Apple Music via a dedicated iphone that I connect direct to the A12 via USB or Bluetooth.Looking to connect from my amp’s pre+out to the Port that would wirelessly drive an Era speaker in another room (or on my deck), however I’d only feed audio to ONE room at a time, ie, if feeding to the Era, I’d have my Wharfedale speakers off on my A12.This would work…right? Also…. I’m thinking of setting up a 2nd router, disconnected from internet ISP, so a local, closed WiFi network to handle WiFi network to stream audio from Port to Era…. Is this doable?
We lost power awhile ago and now our connect amp doesn’t work. We have reset it. The lights don’t light up on it. Think we need a new one?
Mise a jour sonos amp impossible. A priori trop vieux
One of my two bridges started flashing rapidly (white) and it was no longer visible on the app.I have tried everything (I think) including plugging direct into router and factory reset but nothing has produced the response that I am supposed to get.Although, sometimes I can get the light to stay solid even though still not “visible”Does this mean that the bridge itself kaput ?
