I currently have in wall speakers, no wireless.  How many amps and ports do I need to drive all 8 sets of speakers?  I want to put 2 rooms/sets of speakers together X 4 (LR & Kitchen, Outdoor kitchen & patio, Master BR & Bath, Study & Upstairs patio.)  I understand I can parallel the sets on one amp so I need 4 amps.  How many ports do I need?  I also have CD player, turntable and I wish to either hardwire or bluetooth an Ipod touch.

Also can I use Audiosource AMP 100 instead of SONOS amp?  AMP 100 has A & B selectors.

Not sure how to answer the questions, but a Sonos Amp is essentially a Port, with added amplifier parts to drive speakers. I can’t think of any reason to use a Port in support of an Amp.

As this is a Sonos website, I’m afraid I have no knowledge about a Audiosource AMP. Perhaps a more generic audio enthusiast website would be a better place to ask that part of your questions?
