I made a mistake and transferred the patio Sonos amp to the Living Room amp through an option presented on the Sonos app and didn’t realize the living room amp was unplugged. Now I am trying to restore the amp back to the patio and can not seem to make this change.
Hi
I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with your Sonos System. So the community and I have a better idea of what’s happening, I’ll need some more information from you.
You say that you transferred your Patio Sonos Amp to the Living Room, do you mean that you’ve renamed it in the app? If you go into the Settings on the app, tap on the Patio (now Living Room) Amp, then tap on the Room name, are you able to rename it to Patio? If not, I’d recommend rebooting the Sonos App by closing it and opening it again or trying a different device with the Sonos app installed. It may be worth leaving the Living Room Amp powered off while you change the Patio Amp back.
If this isn’t the issue you’re having with your system, then are you able to take screenshots and reply here with them so we see what’s going wrong.
I hope this helps!
Hi Jame,
I appreciate your response. I decided to call the service center and the fix was quite easy. The representative was spot on. There was no rebooting at all I just needed to exit the surround sound in the app in the living room and the amp went back to the patio. Thanks again for your response.
