SONOS Port added as a new system when changing networks

Question

I have recently changed router and have gone through the pain of having to factory reset 4 x Play 1 and a Soundbar. The Play 3 will not factory reset but I will figure that out. When I reset the Port using the SONSO App it has been added to a new system rather than adding it to the one with the Play 1s and Play bar, even though it is on the same wi-fi network. Resetting the port was a painful process as it is buried at the back of a cabinet. Is there a way to move the Port from one system to another? I have had SONOS for over 11 years and I am seriously close to getting rid of it.

No, you need tofactory resetit again, and use the ‘add a device’ function while connected to your other speakers, rather than ‘set up a new system’.

A new router does not per se mean you need a new SSID and password. Most routers allow you to use another SSID and password, so you can change routers but keep your original password and SSID. For future readers: did you not consider this or did it not work?
