Let's talk about Sonos Connect, Connect:AMP, Sonos AMP, and setups using Sonance architectural, or your own speakers and components.

Hello all. Wondering if anyone can help. I’ve been trying to build my perfect system for a while. I’ve been using Sonos to amplify my sound system (turntable/ tapedeck/ cd player etc) and streaming through the house. I’ve wanted to have both analogue and my Sonos system so I have upgraded my main system with a traditional integrated amp and speakers and I have just bought a port to get the signal through the house. Hooked it all up and I have an issue. I placed my entire system on SonosNet for stability, WM0, and all worked well. I have one Roam which is on WM1 because it doesn’t do sonosnet. Problem I have is the Port signal keeps dropping and is currently unusable. When I checked, for some reason the Port is on WM1 with the rest of the system on WM0. I suspect that is my issue but - how do I get the Port onto SonosNet and why has it installed in this way. Any help would be valuable. Thank you in advance. Robin
Hi Dies anyone know if I can i connect a Sony PS-LX310BT Bluetooth Turntable with built-in Phono Pre-Amp to my Sonos Play 1 speakers?thanks
When a sub is added to a SONOS system, does Sonos redistribute the audio power such that the soundbar and surrounds receive high passed frequencies and their speakers are therefore able to handle more mid / high frequency power in their optimum response bands?
HiI have 2 Sonos Play 1 speakers and I'm looking to buy a vinyl player to connect to them. I see the Pro-Ject T1 mentioned a lot in relation to Sonos ,but I'm not sure if it would connect to the Play1. Any guidance on which vinyl player would be compatible, or anything else I would need to buy to connect them to a vinyl player would be greatly appreciated.Thank you
Anyone know what the amperage draw is for the Sonos Amp? I’m trying to determine how many Sonos Amps I can have plugged in on the same electrical circuit?
bonjour a tous je voulais savoir si il etait possible de connecter 2 hp 4 ohms sur un sonos connect amp sans risquer de cramer l ampli

Hello,I just bought a new house that has in-wall speakers and a mount for a TV, but nothing else and I am new to Sonos. I’m looking for some advice on how to set up a home theater system. Here is the setup: there are a total of 8 in-wall speakers throughout the house that are all wired to one spot in a mechanical closet. The first 2 speakers flank a fireplace in the center of the living room, and the TV mount is off to the right side (i.e., not centered on the main 2 speakers). The TV mount is wired with power, HDMI, and ethernet. There are 2 more speakers behind the living room in the kitchen, which is open to the living room (so could be used a rears). There are 2 more speakers in an elevated loft space to the left of the living room which is open to the living room, so could be used with the TV theater setup but might throw the acoustics off since they are on the left and there is not a matching pair on the right. There are also 2 more speakers in a separate bedroom. One option I was
System with a playbase (wired), two ones (wireless) as rear surround. Just bought a sub (wireless) to complete the set, however getting it to connect has been a struggle and now that it's connected I'm not getting any sound out. Diagnostics are here.... 1199550220
I currently have a whole house audio system with 6 Sonos Amps. In two of those rooms, I have a separate TV/Audio/Speaker setup with their own speakers tied to Sony STRAZ1000ES receivers. All the Sonos amp as well as the STRAZ1000ES receivers are all nicely stacked in one location. I know the STRAZ1000ES has the “Works with Sonos” feature but for the life of me I do not understand it. Can someone provide direction and/or feasibility to do two things that I would love to accomplish with these lovely items. I would love to watch the TV and have the audio play through the whole house audio (Sonos Amps). I see the TV Line in option on the Sonos app but from what I understand it is only available if I’m using a sound bar option? Is there a way to play the audio that is playing through the whole house audio through the STRAZ1000ES at the same time? I assume this is what the “Works with Sonos” is all about but cannot figure it out. Plus, since the receiver acts as my main audio player f
As says in the title. I have 2 Play:1 and a Play:3.Replugging the system doesn’t help. Only reboot. Router is the TP-link AX6000, Sonos is on 2.4 MHz, Laptops and phones are on 5 MHz. It happened before once in a while, but now it happens every day. Any suggestions?
I have a Sonos Port to which I have connected a pair of analog speakers via an amplifier. I would like to add an additional pair of analog speakers, along with an analog sub, to this system (also via a separate amplifier) to play in an entirely different part of my house. Is this possible? If so, what would the setup look like? My existing Sonos Port has only a single analog output.
Hi all!I am picking up my Sonos One SL pair today. I am looking for stands to put behind the sofa. The one from Sonos, Flexson and Sanus. I baby my speakers very much and don’t let kids near them but I am afraid neither of these are secure enough. The fact they just sit on top of the stand pole is unbelivable. What do u use and how are your experiences? However, I came accross the Soundbass stands which offer a unique locking mechanism so the speaker is secure. Has anyone one o these and how do they compare?Neven
In my living room i have an Sonos Amp with 2 passive speakers. In the kitchen and outdoor i have sonos ones. I consider to by a victrola stream turntable. Is it possible to wireless connect this turntable to the Amp, so that i can play vinyl through the passive speakers? The Amp is in a closed tv cabinet, and putting the turntable nearby is not an option.
Hi all, Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. I’ve seen another post that never got resolved, so hoping to finally nail this one. The setup is simple. Sonos amp connected to two speakers (working perfectly), and a sub RCA line which is split into two RCA going into a FOSI subwoofer amp. I don’t know why, but the Sonos AMP is just not passing a signal to the FOSI. I can confirm that everyting from FOSI to the sub is working correctly, as if I play music via bluetooth to the FOSI (it is a BT receiver as well) the sub functions well. I have confirmed that when trying to use the Sonos AMP I have the FOSI set to the connected inputs and not BT, so it’s not that. So…. any ideas? Oh, and I turned on the SUB option in the Sonos App, so it should be functioning properly. Thanks so much for any thoughts.
Sharing what worked for me, as the documentation in the original Zoneplayer ZP100 manual, online, and even in the Sonos S1 app could be MORE detailed and explicit about button presses, here is what worked for me when adding my old ZP100 to my existing sonos network. I already have another ZP100 connected and am using SonosS1 app on mobile and on my computer. Firstly, be sure to use the Sonos S1 app on your phone, as the other sonos controller app isnt backwards compatible to the ZP100 and other ‘old’ amps and zone players ( on a separate but related topic if you have the newer app and a system mixing old and new - you can either run 2 separate sonos networks, or down grade your newer devices as per instructions here https://support.sonos.com/en-au/article/set-up-separate-s1-and-s2-sonos-systems) . this ZP100 had been connected to my previous network, but as this one has a new name and probably lots of updates on it, It needed a ‘factory reset’. (the old way to set the zp100 to pairin
I’ve recently purchase an open-box Sonos Port from Best Buy, in US. After bringing it to Brazil, I found out it had been previously registered to an account that obviously I don’t have access. Will a factory reset allow me to register it to my account?
Sonos sound drops out when routing various music services via a Sonos Connect device (S1)My Sonos system is version S1 and comprises: Controller, Connect, and Play 5.Connections: Play 5 is a wired connection to Virgin Media router. Connect has a wireless connection to my home network and has a wired connection to my audio amplifier. My network has a Virgin Media Wi Fi Pod to improve network performance. What I know …..I previously had difficulties accessing the Sonos Controller in our main living area and this has been resolved by adding a Virgin Media Wi Fi Pod to strengthen the network signal (now showing 28 Mbps download speed). However, the audio feed through the Sonos Connect device is falling out at regular intervals (it’s off more than it’s on). This issue started before I fitted the Wi Fi Pod.My system previously included a Sonos Bridge, but the Sonos Community advised removing this when I contacted them at least a year ago. This improved the performance at the time. The Sonos Con
I have had my Port for a couple of months, and it has worked flawlessly. Up until this morning, when only a white noise is streaming on the coaxial. It disappears if I change from pass-through to variable, and lower the volume to around 30, or lower. However, I want to use the pass-through or fixed at 100. How can this be resolved?
I had the Sanus stands for the 300's, but after getting new sofas, they were tk short for the taller furniture. I ordered two Sonos OEM Era 300 Stands. I have contacted support about the following issue and they asked me for and order number, which I have sent to them twice and no response. Where the support shaft (long shaft that goes from the base to the top support bracket) have about a 1/2" of play where the shaft cam be rotated back and forth ok the floor base. Is this normal for these stands or did I by blind luck get two stands with the same issue? Thanks in advance for any info
I have a Sonos amp w 6 outdoor speakers and a sub. I have been listening without issue for about 2 months and out of the blue, 3 speakers (left channel) have gone out. Still listening to the right channel speakers w/out issue. Before I start digging up my landscape any suggestions?
Trying to decide on 3 different Sonance speakers from Best Buy for our deck. I’ve looked at the specs but I can’t decide what I need. They range from $441, $569, to $879. The less expensive ones have good reviews. Do I really need the $879 for good quality sound with a bunch of people. How much difference to the ear is there?
