I'm having a wired SonosNET setup. (playbar is wired). The sub, 4 ONE's and the PORT are not wired, but will strengthen the SonosNET mesh setup (i was told)As I still encounter an occasional drop out (Wifi is on channel 1, SonosNET is on channel 11), I'm wondering if it would help to also wire the PORT….or to purchase an additional BOOST.In case a BOOST is suggested, should I then wire this one? Or will it also strengthen the SonosNET being wireless? Thanks upfront for your suggestions.
I am looking for best wireless speakers. A lot of document recommended KEF lsx , klipsch fives and naim muso qb... Why should I buy sonos five?
I have the 5 Gen 1 speaker. The bridge stopped working. Should I replace with boost or upgrade to the newest Sonos system? If I don’t get the boost I know I can directly plug my router into the speaker but I won’t be able to move the speaker around the house. Can I bypass the router completely by using my phone’s network to access the internet? Thank you.
I just recently bought the beam for my small apartment and I’m looking to expand to the 5.1 surround setup. Should I get the Play:1s or Ones for my rears first or the sub first? I want to gradually get to the 5.1 because of the cost.
Hello. We are buying a new house that has 3 sets of speakers each connected to Sonos amps. Each set of speakers is in a different area of the house. We would like to buy a Sonos arc and connect it to the TV in the living room. Is it possible to wirelessly connect the sound coming from the TV into the Sonos arc to the amps so the TV sound is broadcast to the speakers in the other rooms of the house. I think the answer is yes, but wanted to make sure before we make the decision to order the Arc. Thank you!
Need to calculate the global shipping cost and check if it hit the size limitation. Please provide the box size and total weight. Thanks
I have a semi permanent projector installation with Apple TV as my only source of video. I have an existing Sonos move for the garden that I move into place near the projector screen when needed and connect through airplay which is ok. im now in a position where I want to either add another sonos move for a stereo pair or I install a sonos arc (have power above the projector screen but will also be connected through airplay). I’m aware either isn’t going to give me the best “cinema experience” but at best it’s for sports events, the occasional event or my daughter having a film night with friends. im not sure which one to go for. The arc could be used on another tv if the projector is made redundant, where the additional move can be taken in the garden as a stereo pair.what is everyone’s thoughts?
hi,i was offered a new playbase for the same price as a new beam.is it still worth it, or it will stop receiving updates preety soon?i mostly listen to music so might eventually try go for the five too, but the playbase seemed to be at a good price opportunity. i have a projector not a telly.im mostly concerned on the expiration of the base, and how good it is for music vs 1 five.any thoughts? thanks!
I suppose I am one of many, but I an anxiously awaiting availability of the Sonos Port. I am planning an extension to my whole-house system that relies on the Port and the Move (which I have). Is there any current information on availability of the Port? I’ve tried Crutchfield, Amazon, and Magnolia without success. Thank you much for any information. Ken Traynham
Hi what TV 55 inch works best with Sonos Arc ?
Hey Guys- I am looking for an outdoor Alexa enabled speaker. The kicker is I need it to stay outside and be plugged in outside. Any thoughts on how to pull this off. Both the Roam and the Move seem to have indoor charging only. Thoughts?
Hi all!I own a Playbar, two Play 3’s and Sub Gen 2. Logging onto my Sonos account it says eligible products are Playbar and Play 3’s. My question is, can I select the Playbar, using the discount upgrade to an Arc and STILL keep the Playbar, i.e. sell it to a collegue of mine.Anybody with experience in trade up, your help would really mean a lot.Neven
Hi all,I’m about to become a new Sonos user and looking for some advice on how best to integrate a pair of wired passive speakers (Dynaudio Evoke 20s) into the Sonos system. My choice seems to come down to either (1) buying the Sonos Amp; or (2) buying the Sonos Port plus a new Hi Fi amp.The store that is helping me is suggesting option 2 on the basis that it will produce better sound. The amp they have recommended is the Rega Elex-R, with the comment that the speakers will sound better “with the extra power”.From what I can tell (and I am new at this), the Sonos Amp looks to have plenty of power. So my real question is: is there any benefit spending more money on Option 2 … whether in terms of sound quality or (perhaps) functionality?I don’t mind spending the extra money if it will produce a better result, but also don’t want to be dumb. This is for the main music listening area in a new house (no TV required) and it will be primarily streaming services (Spotify or Tidal), although I ma
Hi guys,I'm Adam, new to the forum and wanted to say HELLO 🙋I'm interested in the Sonos Move and would be interested to know how frequently the discount codes come round and at what rate of discount? Thanks
I have a tape recorder on the way as I want to make mix tapes again from my vinyl collection. Currently my Yamaha wireless turntable is connected with the red and white cable to my Sonos amp. I don’t think it’s possible to connect both the turntable and the Tapedeck at the same time as there’s only one “red and white -in” and also no switch to choose between tape deck and vinyl player. So do I need another “regular” amp that connects into the Sonos amp and I connect both the turntable and the tape deck into the “regular amp” or can I connect t to be turntable wirelessly to the Sonos Amp and the tape deck with the red and white cable and then record straight away ? I am completely out of my depth here and not sure if I am even asking the question right :-) would appreciate any feedback , thanks already for your time to read this
I’ve read it that many people had problems with the Samsung 2020 TVs and Sonos Arc. Is this still a problem, or has it been solved with updates? Is it safe to buy this combination of products, or are there still problems?
I'm not trying to be argumentative or inflammatory, I keep hearing great things about Sonos but I don't get the appeal. I know they basically pioneered wireless whole home audio but with Amazon and Google getting into the space it seems like they are getting priced out of their own market. Are the few extra features worth the premium price and is the quality that much better when you can do audio out with Echo Dots and Chromecast Audios? Thanks in advance!
I see the One referred to as Gen 2 but don’t see that designation for the One SL. Does the One SL also have the additional memory and the Bluetooth LE?
Hi recently bought a Sonos Roam, ideally to utilise in the garden. My wi fi doesn’t stretch that far (I’d only need it around 20 feet from the back door max) so was considering a wi fi extender but I don’t think Sonos will be compatible, is that correct?so was then looking at the Sonos Boost but then still have my wi fi garden issue. not really sure what to buy, don’t mind spending the cash as long as it does the job. Also been reading about Wiring one Sonos product to the router which is doable but not ideal, currently all wireless any help appreciated! matt
Can I purchase a Sonos Roam and be ably to play the same music with my 2 room set?In other words, will the Roam sync with my current 2 room set of speakers?I want the versatility of taking the roam to my porch and have it playing the same musicas my living room. Is this possbile? John
mi pregunta es , porque sonos no permite subir el volumen del canal central de dialogos , la mejora de dialogo en app no es suficiente, cuando sonos pudiera poner esta opcion me la volvere a comprar.gracias English: My question is, because sonos does not allow to increase the volume of the central dialogue channel, the dialogue improvement in the app is not enough, when sonos could put this option I will buy it again.Thank you
In our church, during the COVID pandemic, we are not allowed live choirs so, we installed 4 SONOS speakers and play music from Spotify. It sounds FANTASTIC! Now, we want to simultaneously stream the music with our through a RODECaster Pro & ATEM Mini Pro. Any SUGGESTIONS?James
Hello, Just purchased an Arc. Looking for general information on what additional components I can buy to add to this sound technology. I would like to add 2 wall mounted speakers and sub immediately. Also any suggestions on mountings systems for both the speakers and Arc? Thank you.
I currently have an older tv, with a beam, 2 rear ones and a sub 5.1 setup. im now looking at upgrade my set up to an LG OLED CX model and make most of Dolby atmos , would then change my beam in the setup to an ARC, due to the 2020 LG missing many apps , I would then look to use my Apple TV 4K to stream most content. as the Apple TV will have to connect direct to the TV and not the ARC as the Apple instruction suggest , would this set up still be able to get full atmos from apps on Apple TV or will I have issues. I’ve tried to search this site and seen many missed messages and people having problems. has anyone else got this setup and have no problems before I commit my cash. many thanks.
I’ve got a Playbar, sub, and two ones. Will be setting this up for a house with 8 people. Planning on having a modem/router, and another router wired to this modem/router. My questions is, Would it be better to connect the Sonos system to the modem/router and have the rest of the people in the house use the other router as their wifi? or have people use the modem/router as the wifi and connect the system to the other router. I understand that either way, one must be connected to the same wifi as the system to control it, but from a network stability and less lag concept, wondering what would be better. Side note, the Playbar will be connected to a smart tv via optical cord. Planning on wiring the tv via ethernet to the internet that the majority of people will be connected to, so that they can use system when using tv, but when not using tv, only I will have control(since I will be connected to the wifi the system is connected to). ALSO, would having a Sonos boost work better than a de
