What to get

The sonos amp is 250 watts maximum whereas each speaker is a maximum of 130 watts. If I add 6 speakers, the total for speakers will be 780 watts.  Will the sound coming from each speaker decrease as I keep increasing the speakers? (6 speakers compared to 2 speakers)

I see that people have asked similar questions, but I can’t seem to find the right answer. I have today a couple of sonos:1’s and 1 sonos:5. The latter has a vinyl player connected to it. If I would like to also connect a CD player to the same sonos:5 I will need a Sonos Port or a sonos connect, OR can I merely buy one more Sonos:5 and connect the CD player directly into that? I realise that I would then need to locate the new sonos:5 right next to the existing sonos:5 and that may be silly. What to do? PS: I am using Spotity for conveniency, and vinyl for the best experience here but I do have a lot of CD’s with music that is not on Spotify so that is the reason behind it. Additional question: I don’t think the Sonos sound is very good, but probably just ok. Is there anything I can do to improve the sound apart from spending 2000$ to buy more speakers, a sub, etc? 

Hi all! I was hoping someone would tell me what I need to buy for a great home theater system.  Our family room is 22’ x 22’ (500 sq. ft.) and we have a TV and a bluetooth record player.  Can someone tell me what I need to buy and where I need to hang/place it?

Hi all,I’ve had an email saying you can get 20% on the SONOS website. When I select the item I’m after, Sonos Stands for ONE, ONE SL and PLAY:1 white, and add it to my basket when I go to pay it reverts the price back to full price and not the discounted price. Is anyone else experiencing this? I’ve tried to contact/get hold of Customer Services however, I’ve not been successful as the email address I have keeps coming back as not in use.Any help is appreciated.

I am currently creating a home theatre setup in a family room that measures 18’x12’. I do not have the ability to install recessed wall speakers, and I do not wish to hang speakers off the wall. Can I use 4 ceiling Sonance speakers to be my front L+R and rear L+R, along with a sub and Arc for my centre channel? I am planning on hooking up the system to my television via the Arc.

Hi AllI have a Sony PS-HX500 turntable with built in pre amp. I currently have it running through an old amp and speakers which works well but I would  prefer to be able to stream to the Sonos speakers I have in rooms around the house (a mixture of Beam, One, One SL, and Move) so I could listen to it anywhere. I’ve read so many articles but am still confused as to what would work and what would be best. The Port looks to fit the bill, but some reviews don’t seem great as regards sound quality. The Amp looks to fit the bill, and looks to have better reviews, but is obviously quite a bit more expensive. Both seem to offer functionality I don’t think I need.  For what I want would either of these be better than the other, or is there a different solution in the Sonos range? I’d be interested to hear views from people who have either, or have found a different solution. TIA

I want to purchase a Sonos amp to connect to 2 wired outdoor speakers and add 2 portable outdoor wireless sonus speakers! What sonus device  should I purchase and does it have to speaker inputs to use both?

Hello community  I’m moving to a new house and planning to upgrade my sound system maybe to a somos 5.1.2 on my living room. The issue I’m facing i use a onkyo receiver 656 and many inputs connected to it and tv and projector on the output. With somos the sound bar just have one hdmi and I need to both tv and projectors working. I’ve spend sometime doing research but couldn’t find anything simple to. Does anyone has the same problem or have the solution for it?thanks in advance for any help.

We are nearing the end of construction for our new restaurant and I wanted to get some help on what to order. It will be one unit, about 3,000 square feet, divided into two units. There will also be a small outdoor patio.We are thinking to do 2 indoor speakers inside the larger part of the restaurant, and 1 on the smaller side, with two on the patio. We have 6 Sonos SL at our other restaurant (4 inside and 2 on patio) with a boost, and we have had a lot of issues with them. Speakers cut out and resetting them is so difficult. The boost isn't in a space that is provides much help. This new location will have more flexibility on what we get and where to put things. So my question is: What speakers would work best in this space, if we wanted one speaker to be separate from the other 4, and to avoid frequency/bluetooth issues, that require climbing up on a ladder and resetting each speaker and pairing and all that nonsense? 

I have two sonos one SLs and a Sonos Port. Can and if so how can I connect my TV to my speakers? Below is a pic of the back of the tv I am working with. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated 

Hi guys!My first post here, so be gentle 😅I currently have one Sonos room with Beam/Submini/Ones, but am looking to get sound for another roomWhen looking at the prices now, the cost of two used, but good condition, Play5(gen2) is almost exactly the same as a new Five, here in Norway. What do you guys think I should go for? Can I expect the Play5s to lose its compatibility with S2 for example in the future?Thanks! 

I would buy the port if it had a digital HD tuner built in and could whole stream content to other devices on the sonos echo system. 

I’ve just moved into a new house and the previous owners had Sonos speakers installed throughout the house in the walls and ceilings. I think they are now legacy parts though and no longer work. I’d like to be able to upgrade them to currently supported parts.  They had a ZP90 and a tower of Zoneplayer 120s installed in the cupboard under the stairs and I believe they are wired to the speakers installed in the ceilings of the various rooms around the house.  What is the best way to upgrade them?

Hi,Finally joined Sonos and got myself a Beam Gen2, One and SL. Setup for home theatre is all done, and I’m very happy on how things connect, app setup and integration with Apple HomeKit. As happy I can be… I’m missing bass, all I have is a great experience but I love my movies and missing that punch.  Dilema here is, Sub mini or Sub Gen 3Small apartment with living room and open concept kitchen.  I will never be able to use sound over mid volume as it’s an apartment, on that note… Sub mini or Gen 3?Thanks in advance :)

I’m looking for wired or wireless product options that would work outside. Not sure if there’s weatherproof options.

My computer is my main entertainment hub, my large monitor is basically also my TV.  I want to get a pair of nice bookshelf speakers and I’m looking at the KEF LS50 Meta’s. I’ve narrowed my amp choices to the Sonos AMP ($700, 125w), the NAD C700 ($1,600, 80w), or the Denon PMA-150H ($1,000, 70w). I’d prefer the AMP because not only is it the cheapest, it’s also the most powerful.  I’ve done a fair bit of searching prior to posting.  I know using an AMP with a computer “is not the intended purpose” but beyond that I’m curious about the delay. I understand that when GROUPED, the minimum delay is 75ms, which can cause lip sync issues.  However, in my use case, I would just be using wired bookshelf speakers, UNGROUPED, with the optical out of the computer to the optical to HDMI converter into the AMP.  From this thread, buzz said:When SONOS players are “Grouped” there is a 75ms latency. I bought 4 units of white Sonos One SL and had them shipped to Singapore by a forwarder. I received them after 10 days only to be surprised by the colour. I got them in black instead. I am puzzled how a big company like Sonos can make a mistake like this.  Now I’m not sure what my options are. They have an exclusive distributor in Singapore but I do not know if they would do an exchange for Sonos. Any Sonos staff able to advise me? 

I want to setup an Atmos home theater (replacing existing setup). But I also have a stereo set of speakers in the kitchen ceiling. I’d like to be able to use these as either/or or simultaneous - for TV and music streaming. To complicate it a bit, I also have an analog turntable that I would like to have multiroom functionality as well.If I use an ARC+SL1s+Sub for HT and add a single AMP to both drive the kitchen speakers AND power the turntable, will that work? Thanks!

I purchased 3 days ago and the status still preparing to ship and I cannot cancel it. A company this size without a 24/7 support is ridiculous. They only are available Monday to Friday. I would never had bought any Sonos products if I only knew. I am extremely disappointed.  

I recently purchased an LG G2 OLED TV (yet to be delivered\installed). My current set up in the Media Room is Arc, Sub, 2 Ones.  Since the LG G2 will be flush against the wall, from an aesthetic perspective I will be moving the Arc to another room as it will make my skin crawl seeing the Arc sticking out from below the LG G2.  I purchased two Sonos In-Wall Speakers and the Amp (yet to be delivered) to replace the Arc. 3 Questions belowIs anyone using the above configuration - two In-Wall, AMP, Sub and two Ones versus the Arc, Sub and 2 Ones and if so any significant difference?I plan to place the Amp in a closet near the TV which already has plugs, in wall HDMI cable, etc.  However, it was recommended to place the AMP in a Legrand ONQ Cable Management Box which will be installed behind the TV to host cables, outlets and apple TV.  I figured it will be easier for me to trouble shoot any issues if the AMP is in the closet and thus I don’t mind paying additional installation costs.  Shoul
