Sonos has an email address to get support on the website - support@sonos.com. When you contact it though you receive a message saying that the address is no longer monitored - how useless is that?

Anyone seeing less “immersive” sound and volume intensity since the recent update? I have an arc, eras , and sub mini . Seems the system has lost a little juice . Any thoughts would help . 🤔

The new IOS update has resulted in complete loss of room control.  I cannot get the system to accept my room selections.  I can click on a room but it automatically reverts back to a prior room.  I tried to pair rooms and then remove a room to see if I can force the switch but it simply reverts back to the prior room.  This update effectively makes the entire Sonos system unusable because there is no way to pick the rooms you want to play music on.  Does anyone have a work around for this issue?

I cannot add my Sonos Gen 1 & 2 Play 3’s and Play 1’s to my system. I can see the products but I cannot add them. It falls at the last step - saying ‘Cannot link to my account’. I can add all other products. I have tried factory resets, joining using an ethernet cable etc. I cannot get in touch with Sonos support, just dealing with chatbots. Any ideas folks? 

The latest Sonos App for iOS is terrible.  There was nothing wrong with the previous app and the newest one is impossible to find my music and quickly turn on a station.  This is an epic fail.  It requires too many swipes and searches.  Please don’t change MAC OSx to this.

Why did you fix something that was not broken??  This update is horrible. The look, the functionality…..why????

I been using Sonos for many years. I got the new app update and it is absolutely unacceptable. My playlists will not play keep telling me to try again. The ability to search and add music is horrible. Help!!!!

Several issues:I think it’s now connected to the system via Apple Play because the sound is not as good as it was before (same quality as if it was streaming via Apple Play. Very disappointing. the app is not intuitive and very confusing to use.  I don’t know why changes were made.  The last one was much better. so many controls are lost, e.g. adding to queue, managing of queue, etc…i guess Sonos just lost the edge…

Already said, but have to get it off my chest. New app stinks. But needed to get it off my chest. Trying to add to queue, thought it was me, but turned out to be Sonos. You have a loyal community, and you are about to blow it. 

On the new app, when I click on an individual track, the only option I get is to replace the queue. How do I leave an existing queue in place and just add one additional track to the queue? I was easily able to do this on the prior app, but can’t find any way to do this on the new app.

So many have taken the time to explain their frustration and disappointment with this new app. Many like my self have thousands of dollars invested in this system, a system that is essentially useless without a working app. Our systems had functionality and reliability and without notice it was suddenly removed. Would we tolerate buying a car that suddenly had its functionality diminished wirelessly overnight? I think the time for complaining has ended and now we need to demand answers and a clear path forward. The Sonos CEO has been silent and today we heard about the “courage” of their innovation! We are at the brink of a class action law suit.I am not sure how to start a petition, but maybe this thread could serve as such. !/WE DEMAND A RESPONSE FROM THE CEO. OUR SYSTEMS THAT WE PAID FOR NEED TO HAVE THEIR FUNCTIONALITY RESTORED EITHER BY A QUICK FIX (UNLIKELY) OR AN ABILITY TO DOWNLOAD THE OLD APP. 

EVERONE SEND AN E_MAIL TO THE CEO. I just did. THE MORE THE BETTER. Putting faith in SONOS as the ONE GO TO place for all my music collection was a BIG MISTAKE !ALL my tapes, records and CD all converted to digital over the last 30 years ….WOW can’t beleive they did that to us. I don’t want to stream I want to listen to what i invested in ! UNHAPPY CUSTOMER that has a useless system since the update 

The new app is broken, they know it. So why not do the right thing and give us back the one that worked?  This one a pile of excrement, and has very little that does function correctly. is the new app punishment ?

Hi - New Sonos app - May 2024I used to be able to add a list of songs to a current queue, now i cannot do this, help please.

This new version is absolutely rubbish. I have found that most of the radio stations in my Sonos Favourites will now not even play. Try to play the station and nothing happens just silence.who ever designed this version should be sacked. Get the older version back NOW !!!!!!

The first update was bad enough. But I could at least access my Local Library and scroll the songs in there. As we’ve all noted you couldn’t actually search !Now however I can scroll albums, artists or genres. I can start to scroll songs but the list runs out after a few songs. And yet all the songs are still there if I access them via the album. 

The new app Sonos delivered makes whole system incredibly unusable. Should I sell my Sonos stock now before company collapses? 

Please add visualizer functionality and controller layout customization.As a Port and Connect (S2 compatible) owner who integrates into other amp/passive speaker zones, it would be great if these features were available.For example, I have a Sonos zone in my primary home theater by way of Port, but use my Mac Mini to display the Sonos app on my TV. This works, but it could be a lot more visually appealing if there was a way to customize the layout. For example, larger cover art, bitrate/resolution, etc. This is not an edge case.Take it a step further and add some eye candy with options for visualizers. Heck, open it up to the community and I bet we'd see some awesome content brought forward. VU Meters would be cool for example. Lot of possibilities. People (not all) want the eye candy and your competitors are incorporating it alongside support for lossless high resolution audio. If you're not going to support the latter, you should look to support the former in my opinion.

Hi last week I updated to the new app and now done the update on the new app. do u have to re tune true play since the new version of the app has been installed. Well if true play isn’t still broken. Which i see people having issues with it. thanks 

How are they allowing this to continue through MDW? What an embarrassment. I’m having 40 people over and instead of jamming out in the backyard yard with my 12.2 outdoor sonos system I’ll be using a $150 Tribit speaker I got from Amazon, because I keep getting systems not found on WiFi, hardwired or Sonosnet configs that I wasted a day resetting up again for the 5th time since May 7th. 

The new SONOS app (and frankly this community site) suck. The app has many problems, the one that most bothers me is that it randomly changes the volume unexpectedly. I have 3 amps , a Move and Roam and the volume suddenly changes (in extreme amounts) while we are listening. I also find it frustrating to search for music I like and the favourites that I saved on my previous apps have mostly disappeared. This was not a good upgrade and I wish I had not done it. Where is my old Gold SONOS app now?an this chat site is brutal to navigate and tey and add a comment! 

I don’t even know where to begin. The new app is so frustrating so clunky so difficult to use. I have to sit down for 15 minutes to play anything and then my groups are all screwed up. Everything is screwed up and now it’s skipping songs like I’m playing by Bluetooth. It’s like I’m not even streaming anymore. 

How do I go back to the old version of the APP?  Alternately, how can I return my Sonos equipment for a full refund? This APP is NOT an upgrade  and renders the system almost unusable. 

I don’t want the new app. I want the old app. Please tell me how I can get that.Otherwise, I will junk the thousands of dollars of equipment. I have purchased from Sonos and find something better.
