My husband and I retired from work in 2019 and 2021, respectfully.  In preparation for retirement, we wanted to replace our ailing 40-year-old Harman Karden system and JBL speakers so we did our research and decided on the Sonos Play 5 speakers.  We don’t have many wants or needs but music is a daily necessity, and this simple, intuitive, easy-to-navigate system was perfect for us.  We set alarms to wake us up, to accompany cocktail hour, and to put us to sleep. We had a library of favorite stations and playlists.  Until now.  This latest update has been so frustrating and disruptive to our daily lives. We’re not completely tech-savvy or tech-enthralled, but we know enough to get by.  However, we shouldn’t have to be Ph.Ds in software engineering in order to listen to some music.  Please fix the app so we can enjoy the few years we have left on this earth. Please.

Unfortunately, a PhD in software engineering wouldn’t help; you still wouldn’t have the means to fix what is currently a thoroughly broken piece of software.

In case it helps, the legacy desktop (Windows, macOS) controller apps still work fine.
