I already have a pair of Ones with beam 2 and sub. My question is can I add a pair of era 100s to this set up or would I have to replace the ones with the era 100s
I have built a new barn and looking for recommendations for a Sonos setup. The area overall is 48’ x 48’ with 17’ Ceilings. In that 48x48 area there is a 12x 24 area under a loft for a tv/entertainment area then the other 12x24 area attached to that is an office and bathroom. I’m looking to have a entertainment area sound hooked to the tv sound with my current Sonos Ray, however when i want music I’m looking for recommendation on the larger area and looking to be loud. Also Have a 12’ x 48’ porch outdoor area i would want speakers for as well.Any help is much appreciated.
Bit of an odd question. In my living room I have a projector and both a sonos 5.1 set up (Beam gen 1, symfonisk bookshelf rears, sub gen 2) AND a Denon AVR 5.1 with five ceiling mounted speakers. We mainly use the sonos sytem because the ceiling one is really loud in the small children’s bedrooms. My Denon AVR is really old and has only one HDMI input so I have a separate HDMI matrix for all my inputs - apple TV, firestick, XBOX etc.I send the audio signal to both set ups and to the projector using this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0B4PPH211/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1I am considering getting a new AVR, a DenonX3300W that has lots of HDMI inputs and still using the above audio extractor for the sonos beam, so I can choose between the two surround sound systems. But what I can’t work out - the only way to use the Sonos system would be to have the AVR volume turned all the way down, and then turned up on the Sonos Beam. But - as the AVR is responsible for th
//SOLVED// I just picked up 2 new Symfonisk speakers. I have 2x Gen 1 Symfonisk already. My old ones are in Stereo pair. No issues. These new ones will not allow me to pair. I’ve tired this wired (ethernet), wifi disabled. Wifi on, ethernet unplugged, hard reset of the speakers, reset the router. Nothing. The speakers work. Play music, no problem. Tried multiple streams and all ok. But every time I try to create a stereo pair, I this. ISP Distributel - CanadaRouter/Modem - Deco X50 EDIT// After about 2 hrs on the phone trouble shooting this with Lvl2 tech from Sonos, here was the solution. We had to reboot the entire Sonos network in my home, not just the speakers we were using. There was a mismatch with my Home ID. This is internal to Sonos, but was solved with a house-wide reboot. So far so good. Choose the right speaker. Ok!Looks like it may work.Nope!
Dear Sonos hive-mind Currently have:Single Play:1 Gen1 (I got one of two in the divorce 🙄) Bluetooth enabled turntable plugged into a mini hifi and wired speakers. But also used with separate BT speakers. Bluetooth headphones (Sony WH-1000MX3)Want to be able to play the following in multiple rooms:vinyl CDs and tapes - currently use stereo streamed music (Bandcamp, Spotify) streamed music from iTunes library on iPhone and/or iMac Need to be able to play separate sources at the same time (small person uses Play:1 at bedtime to aid sleep)Don’t care about TV input. Question 1: Can I plug multiple analog sources into a Sonos system?Question 2: If not should I still get a Sonos Amp?Question 3: If not should I get a Play:5 Gen1 for the turntable - if so can I still listen to vinyl on other speakers in other rooms? What would you recommend?Moderator edit: edited at request of author
Hi, Need some advice on a setup for a kitchen dining area. The space has a rectangular shape with the kitchen in one end and dining table at the other. This space also has a door that connect to the garden. I currently have an Era 300 and I love it. We use it for casual background music when cooking and dining and occasionally crank it up for party occasions etc. I will need a portable option (Move2) to bring out into the garden etc. My first thought was to have my 300 in one end of the space and the move2 on the other and group them. When I need the move2 outdoors it will be close to where I need it. But I read that while the 300 is great on its own it’s awesome as a stereo pair. So I’m thinking of having dual 300s in one end of the room to take full advantage of the setup. We do 90% of all music in the kitchen and there will be a fixed listening position as we move around in the kitchen or sit by the dining table. So I’m not too sure I would benefit so much from having dual 300s in o
I've not updated my main main system (3x play 5, Arc Sub and 2 x Play3 surround, Move and a Symfrnisk) to the New App instead I've created a separate smaller system with 2 x Play1 and a Roam. With this setup I've been able to monitor the progress of the new app hopefully to a point where I'm prepared to update everything to it.Sorry to report that it's not there yet (I've read the blog post that implies new exceeds old in responseivness - not true in my case).Main issues with the new app on latest iPhone release 80.12.03 are.1. Local library is never accessible from the home screen, it's there and playable via search or direct selection but the home screen always says 'no longer accessable '2. It's still laggy, particularly when changing tracks, volume control is just about acceptable (but there shouldn't be any at all).3. Every time on opening the app or bringing it back to foreground it briefly (sometimes many seconds) says no system found.4. UI/UX, ok it's a matter of personal taste
Hi all hope your are all fine!Ive actually in my living room 1 Sonos arc + sub. I want to add to my tv sound system 2 era 300. I know that I can connect them to my Sonos arc + sub but is there a way to use only 1 era 300 to play music for example (in my kitchen which is opened on the living room)? thabks a lot ! etienne
I just upgraded from Arc and Sub Gen 3 to Arc Ultra Gen4 and Sub4 (and 2 Era300), the generation 3 devices were working very well via Wifi but yesterday when I changed them to Gen4 I am realizing that these do not work via Wifi, I called to Sonos support and I spent 1 hour talking to them and they didn't make it work, the answer they gave me is that I should connect it with a network cable only (incredible but true), that for me is not an option since I paid about $3,000 for a state-of-the-art device which cannot connect to WiFi.They had to escalate the case to Sonos 2nd level Support and they still haven't called me nor have I received an email to schedule the call. At the moment I do not recommend that you buy this new equipment since it does not work via WiFi.
This app sucks. Sonos sucks. We need to take them to court and make them pay. Let’s get organized. Ideas anyone?
When will Spotify and SONOS Fix the alarms so Music playlists or radio plays on alarm chimes? Losing the will we first reported this in 2021. This function is still not working on my Sonos. I used to play perfectly with free Spotify account.I bought Sonos speakers for this reason. I feel like I’m due a big refund. Everything has been discontinued over the years. One ceo apology letter this year mass produced for all email subscribers and it still not working. At this point I need a timeline of fixes which is completely normal in the tech world. All these new speakers are being released with inferior software or apps.I can set the alarm to different songs or radio and nothing works but the chime. 3 years later and no progress on this fault
Hi.Im having issues with my Sonos play 3s.When using app it is very slow to respond or the app freezes.sometimes one speaker cuts out.I don't have issues with any other of my sonos speakers.I have tried ethernet cable etc.It is in bedroom and WiFi is fine as I have tested speed.Anybody had same issue?
HiI have a friend with a Sonos Arc, Sub & an Amp running in ceiling speakers as rear channels. As I understand it, the Sonos Amp cannot be used to run the ceiling speakers as height channels. If he gets an Era Stereo Pair to run as rear speakers, can the ceiling speakers continue to be run as rear channels in parallel with the Era rears?CheersDavid
My partner is a big Sonos guy who has speakers setup around our house. He’s been talking about wanting a record player so naturally my thought was to get him one that integrates with his existing Sonos system as a gift. Problem is that I know nothing about Sonos and want to get him the right things without ruining the surprise by asking him, so here we are 🙂. A few questions if anyone could please provide some guidance like I’m 5 years old: is Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB Turntable the equivalent of a record player? there are three different “set” options (found here) but the description(s) are like a foreign language and the reviews are super confusing/contradictory… given the photos attached of what he currently has for his setup: which of the three packages do I need to get him for this to work out of the box?thank you so much!!!
Why can’t we adjust our own crossover? The Arc Ultra doesn’t hit as hard as the Sub 4. Why is the crossover set to 70 Hz?
I currently have an Arc soundbar, a sub gen 3, and 2 era 100s paired as surrounds. Am I able to buy two more era 100s and pair them as stereo by the tv. Therefor having the arc and the two era 100s as stereo sound for movies while the 2 rear era 100s are paired as surrounds. We have a large room and I feel the sound from the arc is weak
I know the upfiring speaker will be killed on sound damping roof. But do anyone have experence with turning the 300’s upside down. Will that work okay or will it not be the same?
I can’t get my Sonos to unstick from my radio station to source TV instead. Help!
How can I add a song to my existing playlist
In folder view in Music Library the whole path to the NAS used to be shown so I could instantly find the Music Pop, Music Classical, Audio books etc etc. folder. Now the path is truncated so all I see is //NASE12345/Multimed then cut off. Thus all 10 folders appear identical. Only by going to each in turn can you find out which one it is.Either revert to showing the full path or allow the user to place a relevant icon in the COMPLETELY USELESS grey square that takes up space in front of each path.
I have the Sonos App I just downloaded. And trying to set up my Play 1s (I have 2 of them). I’m trying to change the network connection from tethered Ethernet to Wifi. It’s looking for unit that is plugged in and can only find a sound bar looking unit/ equipment. Why the heck does Sonos not just make it default to WiFi after set up? And why is the wifi or Ethernet option so imbedded in the system’s setting? Should just be able to click on the speaker 🔈 on the app and toggle from Wifi to Ethernet. Who the heck is designing the software… user interface sucks! Not intuitive. For now I have one speaker tethered to my router. Sonos is supposed to be wireless? Ain’t that the big ploy? Mission? I’m 2 hours into setting up these old Sonos Play 1s. And still not the perfect outcome. Have factory reset it 3x… of which, why does it take over a minute of holding down the power button to factory reset? I miss the days of the pin 📌 hole and you just pin 📍 to reset.iIf someone ca
Is there a difference in sound quality between port and amp when using a turntable and only Sonos speakers?
Currently I am considering getting myself my first Sonos devices. My main objectives are to listen to music and be able to conveniently stream music throughout the house, whenever me or my kids like to do so, without the hassle of repairing devices to the single Bluetooth speaker that we currently use.Primarily, I am looking for something that covers the kitchen, dining and living room. In addition, I am also considering having something for the kids in their room, as well as in the master bedroom and the bathroom, though the master bedroom and bathroom will be used very occasionally. In addition, I prefer to avoid the use of floor stands, because of the cabling and the space it requires on the floor. My first thoughts were:2x Sonos Era 100 on the top of the kitchen There is 35cm clearance on top of the cabinets and the cabling will be invisible. 1x Sonos ARC Ultra below the TV This I believe is quite an overkill considering that I am not really in need of a cinema-experience and typi
My sub is not getting power. No light …. Completely dead. Any service center in London?
Your opinion? Two ERA 300's with a sub or two Fives (in an average sized living room) for music?
