Play 1’s - surrounds

I have 2 Play 1 speakers and a Beam. We have recently changed our room round and I cannot use the Play 1’s as rear speakers. Can I use them as front speakers in conjunction with my Beam?

Thank you.

No, the sound that will come out of your Play 1 is surround. In other words, what is happening next to/behind you in the movie, if that sound comes from the front, this will give a completely wrong sound image.

However, you can choose to put them together as a stereo pair (another group) and then add them when playing music. Then it will work fine.

But they cannot be used when watching TV/movies.

Note that when you set them up as a second group, and then ‘group’ them with the Beam, there will be a 75ms delay between the Beam and the second ‘room/group’.
