HiI need help.. I want to connect my beolab 8000 to a device so I can stream music by bluetooth/phone.  Is the Sonos Port the right way to go or do they have other, better alternatives for this? The speaker has rca connections. thanx for help

Hi I’m currently building my home and we’re getting to the first fix electrics stage and I’m stuck on the design for my home cinema.  My open plan living room is around 11 metres x 5 metres. The lounge area will be around 4.5 metres x 5 metres of that. My viewing sofa will back onto a wall and the projector screen will hang between the lounge “zone” and “dining” zone without any substantial furniture below (i.e not something I can put a Arc - not that I could then wire back to the projector without a very long hidden cable run). I really want Dolby Atmos set up with clear dialogue and great effects. I have yet to buy the new projector. I will be using an Apple TV for connection. My current idea is 2 x Era 300 for rears and a Sub but I am stuck for the front.  I can mount speakers in or on the ceiling. In my last home I put a centre speaker in front of the projector screen on the ceiling. The more discreet however the better. Can anyone  help solve my problem???

Has Sonos/Last.FM scrobbling been dropped? It’s not working for me (at least from my iOS app). This article seems to support the observation. For those of us using Sonos to stream otherwise unScorobble-able services like Apple Music, it's such a loss. I know Sonos has bigger problems, but if anything can be brought to bear from this end to get us scrobbling again, we'd be so grateful.

I have 6 and unless you want to play un plug one plug in other down load sonos 1 download sonos 2. redownload app, delete app plug in holding button until light blinks white and red. Hold button down until green light blinks complete trash 

Hi everyone newbie here, I’m looking into purchasing some Sonos speakers and sound bar. Now in regards to sound bars which is better the old play bar or the beam or arc? Also what rear speakers would you pair with it the play 3’s or play 5’s gen 2 for a surround sound setup and sub? Now the last question what speakers would you have in the rest of the house I.e kitchen etc for just music? Thanks in advance 

I have a Sonos Amp (connected via wire) to in-wall speakers in my living room, but in the dining room have a turn table. If I purchase a Port and wire it into the turntable, can it wirelessly connect to the Amp to play music from the living room in-wall speakers? Is there another product I should be purchasing instead of the Port that could do this? 

I’m sorry, Patrick should be fired. I watched his new video and his comments are weak and frankly a bit to late. When they announced and forced us to use the new app, he was silent and then when he did speak up, he defended the app and pretty much told us to shut up and deal with it, that it was for the best. He does not care about the loyal customers. I have SONOS products all over our house and we take the portables everywhere. We have multiple outdoor speakers. We have multiple of each Move 2’s, Roam’s, Arc’s, Era 300’s, Era 100’s, One’s, Sub Mini’s (Just ready to upgrade to Sub gen 3’s then the new app was released so I held off...THANK GOD). The new app update was a disaster and once the thousands of complaints and obvious mistake on releasing the app, instead of bringing back the old app until the new one was fixed or re-created, they told us to chill out and deal with it. Then they told us they would be fixing everything..WRONG...Every update KIND OF fixed some things, but then

**Alternative app that works perfectly with my Sonos system**The Sonophone app works perfectly and now I can finally use my Sonos system again.The new Sonos app is unreliable and unresponsive.  For Sonos to release this update with so many flaws was negligent and incompetent.  It made my (extensive and very expensive) Sonos system unusable. 

I have 2 trailers used for tailgating. Currently, we use a Yamaha receiver, B&W 601s, and Def Tech Super Cube sub in one trailer. We are using a Connect for music streaming. We want to extend to the other trailer with a play base and multiple Ones. WiFi is not a problem and neither is power. Will the Connect allow us to add the others and group everything? 

I use my Roam in the bathroom where it does get wet through the steam. Although it is waterproof to a degree, I would like to prevent damage. I am informed that a waterproof cover is available. Is this correct?

I’m about to get a Beam Gen2 and have a question regarding my setup to ensure I can get Atmos.Components:Samsung TV Sonos Beam Gen2 Nvidia Shield TV Pro 2017 (supports Atmos passthrough)The TV has 2 HDMI ports, 1 regular, 1 eArc. I imagine the setup to be, connect Shield TV to regular HDMI, Beam to eArc. If I’m playing content supporting Atmos on the Shield TV (Netflix UHD for example) will this output Atmos audio to the Beam? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I use the latest Spotify App on iOS 18.0 and setting up the alarm with a Spotify playlist does not workwether I use and existing alarm or create a new one the following happens:Open Edit Alarm → Music I search for my playlist  Select the playlist get “Set Alarm music” promt - “ would you like to use”XXX” for your alarm music tap “OK”  App goes back to Alarm overview “Alarms” ( I can see it briefly stepping back in “Edit Alarm”, then back to overview “Alarms”)  Alarm music is not changed / still Sonos ChimeI tried reconnecting Spotify, reinstall App and its Spotify premium

Finally after lots of battles, I have enabled Sonos to play an Apple music track .  Two questions: why doesn’t it report what it’s playing and separately: why can’t I edit tracks in my music library - perfectly possible under previous iterations.

Just commenting here. I suppose I’m yet another frustrated user approaching the end of my Sonos relationship. I have mostly wired Sonos amps with a few scattered wireless devices (soundbars and freestanding Sonos speakers. I’ve had constant issues for years. sporadic functionality. Everyone’s answer always seems to be unstable network. But I’m pretty confident that’s not the problem. If so it is the only set of devices that ever has an issue.  today I deleted and reloaded the Sonos app rebooted my wireless rebooted all my Sonos devices trying to fix a problem. . Sonos sees titles online just fine, it can see the Devices on my network , but when you go to play a title it stalls and comes back with an error message that says something went wrong. Do t know what that would be because their error messages give you no clue. Nothing seems to work to fix it. I am beyond tired of this s***. Last Christmas before A 200 person party at the house Sonos has been working for days nonstop perfectly

Hello, I’m hoping to tap into the expertise of this forum.  We are renovating our basement, currently in the framing stage.  We would like 3 independent zones - 1. Gym, 2. Entertainment/Bar area, 3. Golf Simulator. Looking to use all Sonos products and wanted to get input from you all on the best way to setup.  Correct me if I’m wrong in this layout:Gym - 2 Sonos in Ceiling Speakers Entertainment Area - 1 ARC, 2 in Ceiling Speakers, 1 Sub Golf Simulator - 1 Arc 2 in Ceiling Speakers, 1 SubControl room would require 3 Sonos Amps.   This is the layout i’m thinking about:Much appreciate any insight to my flawed thinking. 

Hello, As Sonos claims to make the new s2 app more user friendly and customable.  please allow users to add their streaming radio url’s. Tunein is horrible. I don’t wat to pay for a relay to listen commercial free.Just counted the commercials during one tune turner song! 3 times !! 3 times serious a commercial for Disneyland Paris! So disturbing. so Sonos, allow users to add streaming urls. regards, willem   

My amp just stopped working out of nowhere, I assumed it was just another “sonos” issue with updates and that maybe it would sort itself the next time i go to use it...it did not. I can not get my app to find the device and it had just disappeared from my list. I dove in for a better look and noticed that it is not showing any sign of life (no white,orange,green lights). I check the surge protector and all other devices and they all are working as they should be.  I unhooked it completely and moved to a different outlet and the still nothing.Called Sonos, dealing with rude customer service, and being given little to no helpful information. The service person “Michal” mumbles that what sounds like “you (I) must have done something, that I will need to buy another”. I explained this device sits on a shelf, I did not do anything to this, it has been working , and correctly hooked upped. Hi, I am looking to connect a projector sitting at the back of my living room to an Arc soundbar mounted on the wall at the front of the room. Originally I was considering running a HDMI cable through the ceiling to connect the eARC port from the projector to the eARC port in the Arc soundbar, but then I was looking at the Sonos AMP and thought that might be an option. The projector i’m looking at has Google TV so I can stream directly from it.Can someone confirm if the scenario below would work?Projector connected to the AMP via the HDMI ARC port. AMP connected to the Arc soundbar via wifi. Sound would run from the projector, through the AMP to the Arc soundbar. So I’d be able to transmit the sound from the projector to the soundbar wirelessly with the help of the AMP, saving me a lot of trouble (and cost) with running HDMI through the walls and ceiling.  Would this work? Any drawback/limitation to this I should be aware of?  

I have arc sub and 2 era 300. Are well put in the room ? Maybe era 300 too mutch hight? I use for games and Dolby Atmos film and music. Better to use era 100 as surround and use era 300 in another room? And do you suggest to put a second subwoofer? Thanks in advance ..any suggestion is appreciated  

I’m hoping to get the following setup:ARC home theater set up with two wireless surrounds and sub in FR In-ceiling speakers with amp in Kitchen In-ceiling speakers with amp in DRWe’re not hard-core audiophiles but would like music and tv to sound good. We also would like flexibility so, for example, sometimes listening to the t.v. In FR and kitchen but sometimes having t.v. on in FR while music streaming in the kitchen. DR may be streaming something else?So, I guess my question is (and apologies if it’s been answered and/or is naive) whether this is the right setup (or *a* right setup) for this? Is there something I should be concerned about in this configuration?Many thanks for any help. 

I’m building a large automotive shop on my property to work on and store my cars & motorcycles.  The building is 120’ L x 60’ W x 16’ H.  It’s all open with no interior walls.What kind of solution would I need to have significant coverage in this space.  Can you have a bunch of Five speakers and (2) Subs all controlled in one space?  Since its a big rectangle could you have (6) fives and a sub on each end?I’m not sure how they would be configured in the app. Thanks, BillMac 

I’m looking to make a big purchase soon for the beam and sub mini.last year I seem to recall a 40% sale around September. Is there any information or insight into whether they will run this again?? Thanks in advance for your help.jay
