I want to stream Apple Music to my Sonos speakers with a direct connection rather than airplay in order to get the optimal sound resolution.Currently I have an Apple TV 4K connected to my arc for video streaming and have found that when select the Apple TV 4K to output audio the sound is noticeably better than airplay. Is there a device or way to actually verify what if 16 or 24k or 44.1 or 48 is actually being broadcast. Has anyone had success connecting a Wiim (pro or Ultra) , Eversolo bluenode or Cambridge cvn v2 using the Sonos line adapter to era 100 or 300 and been able to add multiple room grouping to your other Sonos speakers ?
Hiya,I’ve just bought a sony blu-ray ubp-x800m2 and can’t get my Beam2 to pick up any sound. I’m using the hdmi2 output into the back of the beam and the hdmi1 output goes into my projector. Any ideas as to what I can do?
I have imported a bunch of files in to Appel Music. I can play these fine on my Mac, my iPhone etc…When I add Apple Music to the Sonos app I see the Albums I imported, but I cannot play them. I get an “unable to add to queue” error. What might be the problem here?
I’m looking for some suggestions to upgrade or expand on my current Sonos system. My products were purchased between 2018 and 2020. I have recently started getting into 4K UHD Blu Ray music and also Blu Ray audio with Dolby Atmos and Quadio mixes. My system consists of Arc, One (2 - L and R surrounds), and 2 subs. Any feedback or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Hi my wife has just bought me 2 Sonos ones and a Sonos move 2 please could you tell me how to connect them to my Samsung sound bar and bass box I’m getting conflicting info some say connect yet can’t find and some say bridge and some say don’t ever use bridge.any help would be gratefully appreciated
Hey everyone. So I wasn't sure how best to set the sky streams output settings with the Ray? Soundbar only, no surrounds or sub.The output options are dolby digital, pcm, or passthrough. I can't decide what's best as a true stereo representation of the output of sky stream box. Anyone else have one set up? CheersAndy
Opening app is slow changing volume is slow
I recently purchased a Sonos Arc and plan to gradually enhance my home theater setup. Should I add surround speakers or a subwoofer next? If speakers, should I choose the One SL or Era 100? If a subwoofer, should I opt for the Sub (Gen 4) or Sub Mini?Regarding room size, I have a living room and dining room connected by a wide, open archway, each approximately 4m x 4m x 2m. Should I consider this a large room?
I realise everyone hates the app and the Sonos team are obviously having a total nightmare managing the situation, and I’ve tried to resist piling on, and have bought multiple 3rd party apps and tried workarounds, but I’ve really just had enough of trying to use this system and really want to chuck it all in the bin. The UX on this app is just so appalling in every way. It’s SO slow and laggy. Sometimes you can make it start okay, others you can’t. You want a tune. You want the 6 o clock news at 6. But it just does nothing. You wait. 30 seconds… and then. . . You just give up and use your phone speaker! Sometimes the volume works, other times it doesn’t. It’s so unintuitive as to which room is active. Why can’t I see the actual radio stations I want in a list on the home page? Why is there no hierarchy among the favourites? Why do none of the playlists work? Why do you prioritise the junk Sonos streams as if they’re real stations? Why can’t I manually control the viewing order of stat
I connected my Port to a Pioneer receiver that is set to - 40db as a start up volume. This because I don't want to shake the hole house when I start the TV for the morning. If I turn the volume up and later switch from Port to TV it will be very Loud if I don't lower the volume first. The problem is that if I set line out to variable it is too low volume to match the other Sonos speakers. Sonos volume set to 18 means that I have to set port at 100. Then I can't rise the volume more.If I set to fixed, it is too loud at - 40db and I also want to adjust the volume from the app so variable would be the best option. It would be nice to be able to adjust the baseline input level for the variable and then save the setting. In that case I can adjust the volume to match the Sonos speakers and then the volume will be equal for both speakers and Port.
Moderator edit:Google Translate-Hello,I can't install my 2 Symfonisk speakers (gen 2) as a stereo pair in the app. Everything seems to be going well, but when the nice stereo sound sounds at the end to indicate that it is finished, I only hear that sound from 1 speaker. When I do it with the other speaker, I only hear the other speaker. I have already disconnected everything, but that didn't help either.I
The ray have the IR-sensor underneath….WTF!?! So stupid. Design is more important than functionality… im forced to put my Sonos Ray with the speaker pointing to my roof….🤯And if you have Samsung the frame with tv module in a cabinet beneath the tv the remote doesn’t work anyway. My god…No aliens has influenced this product, that’s a fact. So stupid…
Hi,I have a sonos move in my office and when I connect it to my MacBook pro it plays beautifully. The problem is if I have to pause to take a call or have a conversation - even like 2-3 minutes, the move disconnects and then I have to switch back to MacBook pro speakers and then again to the move. It’s a pain the tukus - is there anyway to set it so that it’s always the speaker and it never disconnects?
I recently experienced a total network failure of my Xfinity XB8 Modem. I have numerous wired and wireless SONOS devices connected that started dropping out and overall slow network performance.Xfinity replaced the XB8 modem, and the issues continued with SONOS. I then turned off all SONOS equipment and the network issues were resolved. I verified the configuration of the three TP-LINK Managed Ethernet switches and confirmed that everything was correct (RST Settings).I then turned on all of the computers, NAS and printers and the network remained stable. I then turned on each of the wired SONOS devices and the network was stable until I turned on the PORT and the PLAYBAR and the network became unstable and unusable. Each SONOS device is plugged into a TP-LINK managed switch.I then ran Wireshark and noticed an excessive number of “LINK LOCAL ADDRESS” broadcast coming from the XB8 Modem with the Source Address starting with fe80:: - ICMP V6. I then turned off both SONOS devices and the n
I have 2 Sonos era 100 speakers in stereo configuration and would like to enhance music quality. Wondering what additional speakers work for this purpose. We are talking one room (living room). Thanks.Dean
On the Mac Sonos Controller, in the right most column (Music Source), say if you’re already looking at tracks inside an album and you want scroll to see more songs below (2-finger up motion on the trackpad, which is Mac’s default “Natural Scrolling” setting), if your fingers drifts to the right side while moving upwards, the app immediately takes you back one level up - back to the album level, as if you’ve pressed the < button. The same is true whatever you’re scrolling through, e.g. it would go from album back to artist, playlist back to streaming service, etc. Typically if an area can only scroll up or down, any left or right 2-finger motion is ignored (this is true for both Mac and Windows), this makes for very swift scrolling a flick action. This bug makes scrolling through anything much more laborious as you now have to be careful with the scrolling motion all the time! Could the dev team please take a look at the issue? It’s been there for some time but now I can finally repr
I recently set up a Sonos Arc Ultra with two Sonos One speakers as a surround system. However, I'm experiencing an issue where the sound from the rear speakers cuts in and out when playing music. I've tried reconnecting the speakers and rebooting the router, but the problem persists. Any suggestions on how to fix this? It's quite annoying to hear the music cutting in and out from behind me.
Hi all,I know this has been discussed before but I can't find the answer I need.I have various Sonos products, subs, play bars, surround speakers and a move in various rooms. I have just been given a Audio-Technica LP60XBTBK for Christmas and want to connect it to my system so I can play it throughout the house. I am confused on if I need a port or an amp or neither. Can anybody help please.

I have been having an issue for months where during every third song while streaming Apple Music, Dolby Atmos clicks off and the song reverts to just stereo. I either have to pause the song and restart or back the song up to the beginning to re-enable Atmos. I can’t believe the engineers aren’t aware of this issue. It is extremely aggravating. It’s always something with this app. I have Arc Ultra, Era 300’s, and Sub gen 3.
I do not know how long ago I bought my first Sonos. But it is a long time ago. More then 15 yeas ago I think. In the beginning it was great. But slowly it became less and less stabile during the years. My wifi and cabled internet is stabile. Always +500 mbs. All systems in house are working properly. Internet on computers, alarm, solar panels etc.So I do not understand why I have Sonos drop outs frequently. Boxes and music. And sometime the Sonos boxes work and then after +/- 10 sec numbers are stopped. Not talking about the speed of the app. It is terribly.I tried to contact support by phone many times. Always ques that are longer then 60 minutes. So waiting was no option. What are my alternatives? Anyone good ideas?
I have a Beam, Sub, 2 Play1's and a Port. For some reason, my mistake I presume, I ended up with 3 seperate rooms: the port in 1, Beam and Sub in 1 and the Play1's in 1. I was able to create a group containing all 3 rooms, but because of this setup no surrounds (stereo pair) in the room with the Beam and the Sub.I am able to break the stereo pair in the Play1 room, which enables me to add one Play1 to the Beam/Sub room creating a stereo pair with the Beam I think. This leaves me with a Play1 in a seperate room. I would prefer to add both Play1's to the Beam/Sub room as the stereo pair, but am unable to do so.Anybody, any advice?
Hi All,I’ve read a few posts on this topic. What’s the best app to achieve some very basic PA on Sonos?ThxThomas
