I am planning on getting a Sonos Arc Ultra and two Era 100s for surround. My TV only has an ARC input, not an eARC. Will I still be able to get Dolby Atmos, and will I be losing something by not having eARC?THANKS!
I’ve just moved and want to set-up a more legit home theater experience. The living room consists of the sectional and TV console on that bottom left portion of the L shape. I’d like a sound bar to sit on the tv console and face towards the sectional with a surround speaker in the corner of the room and other side of the sectional.Given the L shape of my living space, the media/sound is mostly enclosed in an 11x15 foot space. The other area will be a more formal dining room. It’s also worth noting I have fairly short ceilings, ~8’ and there’s a chandelier hanging dead center of the living room portion between the sectional and TV console which could potentially interfere with any up-firing drivers. My original plan was Arc Ultra and two Era 100s with no sub given the ultra’s rich bass. After reading some posts on reddit and the forum, I’m now leaning heavily towards:- Beam 2- 2 Era 100s- Sub mini?Looking to the community to help me decide! Is it worth it to get the Arc Ultra for future-
I found a topic from approx 1 year ago, asking whether Sonos Fives are still a good buy, given they were launched in 2020.@GuitarSuperstar said:It is most definitely still worth buying. The Five is Sonos' best-sounding speaker for music in stereo. If you have it in your budget, consider getting two to create a stereo pair.I'm guessing this is still the case, but wanted to check. In terms of my set up, I have two Ones on stands at the front of my lounge set up as a stereo pair within a 'room 1'. Also in my lounge I have a Beam, a Sub Mini and two Ones at the back of the room as surrounds, all set up as another 'room 2'.I'm not a great fan of Atmos/ Spatial, but I love playing music to both 'rooms' simultaneously (so no Atmos) with surrounds on Full. I play Room 1 louder, usually about +10 and I lower the rear surrounds to -2 for 'music level'. Some would say this muddies the stereo image, but I really like it. The focus is fairly traditionally front firing, which I like, and although no
So i have been using sonos ace since a week now! Here are few things i found (issues, suggestions etc)- the bass is not bassy enough! Its subtle.. music has quality but the mids and lows are muffled!- we really need a 5 point level tuning ! These aren't the sonos wifi speakers to just give bass and treble control... these are the pricy headphones which have a lot of potential and sonos team are limiting it enough to frustrate us!- the headphones doesn't charge with super fast anker chargers not sure why! They do charge with 20watt apple bricks and dont with the qc chargers this needs a fix... atleast let us know if this can be fixed or not!- power button press to start must be responsive but they designed it to feel like a lag.- transparency mode is just wow.- spotify and yt music feels like s*** on android, apple music is soo dope on the same android.- the quality of the hardware is just excellent at the airpods max level excellence, but its the software thats dooming this product. this app gets worse and worsethe moblie version is entirely trashits a jokeyou’re making fun of people for buying these productsthe app doesn’t work and the speakers become useless so quickits laughableall the way to the bank.how you keep pushing out this trash is legendarykodos for selling this trash so well.it doesn’t matter anymorekeep ‘winning”you have no self respect as a product or companyyoure just a garbage factory and we’re all doomed to hell.thanks for the trash.
This is my first time using Sonus and to say I’m disappointed is an understatement. I can't connect Qobuz, my preferred streaming service, and then I find out that I can't install Spotify either. Absolute shambles of a product. Disgrace.
I come from Poland, I want to buy a sonos soundbar Arc ultra, I need a matching wall mount for the Arc ultra: which one will definitely fit? Which mount will fit it. Please send me suggestions for www links. Which model? For example:https://www.sonos.com/pl-pl/shop/wall-mount-for-arc//Mkfp
HiQuestion for you all. I now have in my arsenal two pairs of era 300 downstairs in my house and an older play 1 in the kitchen. If I play an atmos track/album on the two pair fine, not a problem, if I then add in the kitchen speaker it knocks down the playback on all the speakers to ultra HD. If I take off the kitchen speaker the playback goes back up to atmos. This is the question: If I upgrade the kitchen speaker to an ERA 100 will it still downgrade the playback on all the other atmos capable speakers or not? Thanks in advance for any help
How do i access the sonos arc menu
So my post from yesterday enquiring about legal action has now been locked. Perhaps understandably. Now, while I almost expect that, I don’t appreciate being locked down and not allowed to discuss the matter. I don’t care if it’s on Sonos website, that’s what a “Community Forum” is for.Anyway, a decent web search leads me to believe pursuing this legally will be a waste of my time, though the satisfaction might be worth something.I’ll be selling my equipment in the new year to the highest bidder. Absolutely rubbish.“Something is wrong” …. Perhaps when the app tells me that (with no further way of diagnising the issue, maybe that’s the app crying for help. Because, yes, Sonos, your app got that 100% correct.Bye
Hey,Could anybody tell me how to Group my Sonos roam to my other audio system speakers? My Sonos Roam is the only sonos devices i have the other devices are all connected true Google. Thank youKarlijn
Anyone else experiencing the same issue? Multichannel PCM 5.1 blanks out for a second every 1-2 minutes. I don’t think it’s a bandwidth issue as it works flawlessly with Multichannel PCM 7.1 (thorough test) and Dolby TrueHD Atmos (quick test). And it may have been caused by the Sonos 14.10 update. Setup is PS5→ LG C1→ Beam 2 (via earc). 2 weeks ago before the 14.10 update, I watched a bluray film wherein I had my PS5 transcode the DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio to Multichannel PCM 5.1 (as the C1 does not support DTS) and had no issues. Earlier today, I played a bluray film for the first time in 2 weeks and I encountered consistent audio dropouts every 1-2 minutes. It had the same setup where DTS-HD MA 5.1 → Multichannel PCM 5.1. I tested other bluray discs including the one I watched 2 weeks ago and they all now have the same issue. Curiously, I’ve been gaming heavily on my PS5 the past two 2 weeks and haven’t had any audio issues. Then I realized that I’ve been using Multichannel PCM 7.1 when ga
Want to add Ray to existing system that has connect:amp
I’m interested in an Arc Ultra, two Eras 100s, mini subwoofer, and one roam. Will I also need an Amp? If I get the Sonance ceiling speakers, will I need the amp?
Instead of giving SONOS a DLNA client, SONOS persists in the crazy notion of making each and every speaker a DLNA service (renderer) and placing the index to the actual music files on each and every speaker. The result is that, as the memory of most SONOS devices is stuffed to the brim with the oversized SONOS S2 OS, they cannot index more than about 7Gb of music library. Therefore the SONOS music library feature is useless for me as my music SAMBA share is around 42Gb.Notabene, the much smaller SONOS S1 OS allowed the indexing of the SAMBA 42Gb music shareI invite all who have similar problems to join in complaining to the ceo@sonos.com email account to ask for a DLNA CLIENT to be added to the SONOS S2 (S3?) controllers while simultaneously removing the unnecessary DLNA servers on the old and new speakers - in SONOS S2 (S3?)As far as I know, the hardware memory is impossible to increase without breaking open the speakers - even if the OS could address more memory.
That’s IT Sonos. Your lousy app sucks. Your company sucks. I had a party for my wife’s birthday WITHOUT MUSIC because your app would not work. Your company is worthless and a joke. I have thousands of dollars of your equipment and they are all BRICKS. I hope you go out of business. I will make it my goal to badmouth you on every blog I can. I will also make sure everyone I know never buys your stuff. In fact I made an announcement at the party to explain why we had no music. I told the horror story that is Sonos and told everyone to NEVER BUY YOUR STUFF. SONOS COMMUNITY WE NEED A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. ANY LAWYERS OUR THERE? I’M IN!!!!!
Hi. Thinking of moving back to Sonos from the Sony HT-A9 and was wondering if anyone here uses an Arc Ultra with a LG C4 OLED Tv ? Any issues, problems etc ?
So they closed this one. If its too inconvenient just stop the comments. Said it before and it's still true.SONOS = CONTEMPT FOR CUSTOMERSSonos is not deserving of its customers. But then the only customers that seem matter are those that want new products. And even where the android app is working, it's responsiveness is variable. The desktop app still works fine. But the mobile app should work just as well. It's a wireless system!! Apparently. I'd rather have something that works than the latest design of the android app. However good it might (eventually) be. At this rate it will be a year of deliberately hobbled functionality. I might be dead before it works as it should.
If I connect a source device, such as a CD player, to an Era speaker will the music play only through that particular Era speaker or can it be routed to also play through my other Eras and/or beam?
It is hard to describe… but after the update a few days ago I have noticed a very annoying search behavior on my iPad and iPhone… when displaying hits from different sources the app screen stops half way … not showing hits from all sources. Then after a while the rest is shown… the app errors apparently never stops… gosh. Also, my local library often disappears… I have to restart the app to get it back in the search results (if this part of the screen is not frozen of course).Anyone…?
Just got these two components set up via the app and later realized I could not play movies, etc… via bluetooth connection from a laptop. Why? I tried the 3.5mm cable to the Five but the sound was terrible and the lag was nearly three seconds delayed. I found a potential solution online in which I could use a Roam speaker as a bluetooth waypoint and link it to the Five and sub. Have others set this up and been happy with it?The sound and style of the speakers is great but if I cannot use for bluetooth I’ll jave to return everything.
No longer receiving an alarm notification on my iPhone, any idea how to fix?
I purchased 2 ERA 100’s that I stream music to from my iPhone.I also purchased the Beam Gen 2 that is hooked into my Samsung TV via HDMI ARC.Is there a way to group them - Beam Gen 2 + Two Era 100’s together and switch between streaming music from my iPhone and listening to a movie on my Samsung TV? How to group? How to Connect? How to switch back & forth – TV & iPhone music?Thank you!
Hello all,I am considering adding a vinyl Platine to use it with the Sonos speakers that I have: 2 One SLs, 1 Beam and 1 Sub Mini. Could somebody tell me what additional equipment (Sonos Amp?) I’d need to do so and what Platine works fine with the Sonos system ?Thanks,Andres
Just upgrade from: Arc with play-1toArc Ultra + Sub 4 and Era 300. Sounds awesome !However two things really buggering me already now:Having a setup with a non eArc projector and eArc enabled TV - both connected to separate ATV 4K’s for the projector I rely on Airplay - I would love to see Airplay support Dolby Atmos - seems that Apple has enabled that recently for 3rd parties so looking forward to getting that supported from Sonos as well ! Why on earth not exposing the sub as a regular Sonos speaker to allow it to group with any other Sonos speakers. Right now it gets dedicated to the Arc Ultra and that group needs to be grouped with the other speaker group I want use in order to work ? This actually came as a surprise to me - would have gone for a non-Sonos sub and a Sonos port IF I have only known about this. I read people stating that the sub creates a dedicated 5Ghz channel - which is complete nonsense - sending low frequency information could probably be done using morse code ov
