I currently have an office setup with a Beam and two Play:1 as surrounds which works fine. I want to add sound to a small gym I’ve setup in the garage (lowest cost ideally). Gym has 2 walls and a garage door and is 7x7 feet.
I want to be able to setup so that I have two seperate groups in the Sonos App so I can play from either the office or the gym. What would you recommend?
For basic sound a pair of Era-100s will get you decent stereo sound, one will do decent sound but pretty close to mono in a big room. Era-300s or a single Five would also be good options but more expensive.
Your choice how to Group them for playback, you will have a minimum of two Rooms that can play different audio or be grouped to play the same.
Same for TV but there will be a slight delay in the grouped room, not a problem as long as they aren’t in the same room of your house.
As a test you can remove the 100’s from the office system and try one or two 100’s in the gym. You can decide if this is satisfactory.

I tried that and it sounded awful.

The sound may not be good enough for you, but I have a Move that I take into the garage. The charging base is in my kitchen.
