Hello,

I have a Sonos Arc Ultra and am looking to set up 2 rear surround sound speakers for it. Unfortunately the back of my room is difficult from a power wiring perspective so I’m thinking of using non Sonos speakers that don’t require power. I would buy an Amp to connect them into the Sonos system but just wanted to confirm if I would be able to set them up as rear surrounds under this setup? Or does it require purchasing Sonos speakers? Please let me know.

Thanks,
Zander

Yes, you can use the Amp to power passive surround speakers. Have a look at this page:

Wow, extremely hard to read in the font color showing on my screen, a very faded grey against a white background….but yes, the Amp would be ‘bonded’ to your Arc Ultra as the driver for surrounds, via a 5Ghz hidden channel, and drive your third party set of surrounds.
