The latest App update (ios 80.14.09) still hasn’t fixed the nightmare that you can’t switch between speakers. Why have you removed such an important part of the app. It is now so cumbersome to do it, and then if you’ve initiated music from other app (such as Spotify) you don’t have a chance of controlling your own system. Help!!

Hi @Blue bell, welcome to the Sonos Community!

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with the Sonos App.

The option to switch between speakers hasn’t been removed from the app, if you perform a swiping gesture from the bottom of the screen, then it will put up Your System where you can swap between your speakers by tapping on them. If your speakers are grouped, then you can also use the grouping icon to ungroup or group from this menu as well.

If you cast from Spotify using Spotify Connect, you should still be able to control your system from the Sonos App: The various playback commands (play, pause, skip), change the volume levels, and group or ungroup speakers should all still be available to you. You cannot edit the queue however, as that is being handled by Spotify and you’ll need to use the Spotify app to adjust it. I use Spotify myself and cast using Spotify Connect as I’m by my PC most of the time, but I’m still able to control my system from the Sonos app.

If you can’t control your system at all and through the app, then I’d recommend rebooting your system by powering off your router, speakers, and device running the Sonos app for one to two minutes. If this doesn’t help, then please reach out to our support team for further troubleshooting assistance.

I hope this helps!
