Hi everyone, I am a developer and Im building a .NET app in order to play music from Sonos ZP100 using Spotify. Or alternatively with music plugged into an USB. I tried using the UPnP protocol but it doesn seem to be the right way to reproduce songs. I am only able to play pause stop seek next previous and volume controls but nothing else. Do somebody know how to do something similar? The perfect example is the SONOS S1 app that after linking spotify account can reproduce songs
It would be great to have the connection in the SONOS app to Finnish Broadcasting Company YLE’s app YLE Areena. This way we could listen to all the national broadcasting company’s radio channels plus all their audio material. https://areena.yle.fi/audio So far the YLE channels have been broadcasted via MyTuner radio, but now it has stopped working with Sonos for some reason.
Hi my Sono’s one’s keep disconnecting. My Beam is fine but no sound from the one’s.The App just says no system found and I cant access anything on the app.I don’t understand the technical stuff and don’t know what to do :(
I have 10,000 songs on my mp3 player, what's the easiest way to play these on my Sonos beam and One SL? Can I put them on the app or cloud to play through the app? Cheers!
Since you can’t choose the order that your streaming services are listed, the next best alternative is to just go to the Browse page where they are listed and then hit the star icon at the bottom of the page. That’ll take you to My Sonos where your most Recently Played places are. I listen to SiriusXM a lot and so it’ll show the channels that I’ve recently listened to.
Hi all, I was looking for some confirmation that my potential plan will succeed before spending my money. I currently have a Playbar and 2 Play:1 attached to my TV and work really well. I have a separate turntable (denon dp-45f) attached to its own (old) hi-fi system (pioneer vsx-425) and 2 x Jensen speakers and sometimes headphones plugged directly into the amp. My hi-fi system is on the way out and the pioneer is starting to fail so I was looking to attach the turntable to my sonos system. I understand ill need a pre-amp and then either connect to a port/five/amp. Planned sequence would be:Turntable → preamp → port/amp → bluetooth receiver/headphone amp + wireless to sonos Now this is where my question is: - I would like to with the option of either listening to my records with the wireless/wired headphones OR via the sonos system. - If I set up the port or amp as a ‘room’ for the headphones (likely will use a bluetooth receiver plugged into the port), can I still ask the sonos to
Does anyone have a way to measure or test the bass output on the Arch or can explain why there is so much difference in the bass of the Play:5 vs Arc? I bought the Arc SL last week and trying to see if it’s defective or not, i.e. a feature vs a bug!Much appreciated!
Hey everyone, I have an Amp that I use for my computer audio via line-in. This works well, but sometimes the Amp forgets it’s playing when the audio is quiet for a while on YouTube, for example. Is there a setting that can keep the line-in audio alive?
Originally our house WiFi had both 2.4 and 5 GHz bands using same SID, but we had too many issues with devices using the slower band, so have separated the bands with the 2.4 GHz band retaining the original SID and the 5 GHz band using a different SID. Now we want to move our two Sonos systems over to the 5 GHz band...but don’t see a way to just change it.Please tell me we don’t have to reset the entire system to change to a different WiFi SID?Thanks!
I've used the method of coping and pasting the URL into the area where you can add a radio station and yes, it adds the station. Unfortunately when it comes to playing that station an error message appears. Unable to play Radio RUAR - ‘this song is not encoded correctly’ any ideas please?
I want to trade in a ZP90 but it doesn’t appear in my online account (it used to but no longer does after I upgraded to the new S2 controller)Sonos chat support are unable to help and said I need to call the sales team who can assist, but I have been on hold for over an hour, on two separate occasions, unable to speak to anyone.Does anyone here know how I can get reliably get in touch with the sales team? Or if there is some way I can get the ZP90 to show up in my online account such that I can trade it in? Many thanks in advance for your input :)
Hi, I have been a Sonos system owner for many years. The question I have is:When using either the subscribed Spotify or Pandora app on my iPad how do I replay the current track? When I use the Sonos app on my Android phone, I can replay the track? Can someone help with this please?Thank you, Sean
What’s is going on with this horrible red box that’s suddenly appeared?! Is Sonos intentionally degrading their S1 app to piss off their already disenfranchised legacy-owning customers?!!
I was wondering if a surround setup with two play ones a sub and the beam would sound better and more direct than one play five. I wanna get the play five for the quality but I can get the sub and add on to the surround set up. Which is better?
Hi, probably an answered question but I can’t find the solution. I mainly listen to Sonos via my computer where I have a ton of saved playlists. If I open the phone app, there are zero saved anything. Thoughts?Thank you.
Hello everyone !I’m an owner of a sonos move and since the beginning I have my device which comes out of sleep by tself, at the beginning I thought that it was only when someone in the house open the Sonos app but I realized that even in the bluetooth mode it comes out of sleep during the night.Do some of you have the same issue ? Thankyou for you anwers, bye !
I had started using the Sonos Alarm feature. It never worked properly as often the Sono beep was playing instead of a song, sometimes the controls from the notified were not working unless I was first opening the Sonos App etc... Despite this it was at least somewhat working even if this is not the experiences you'd expect from a product like Sonos that it is not famous for being cheap. The newest issue, however, is that apparently after some updates the notifications on lock screen and on the main screen are completely gone. It is not possible to snooze or dismiss the alar. Anymore. The only notification present displays the Sonos controls as if I was simply playing music (play, pause, next, etc...) I would like to know how to display volume indicators on the TV when using my Sonos Arc and the HDMI (ARC) connection. I have it connected via HDMI ARC and can confirm that the volume controls work fine, but there is no volume bar indicator so it is impossible to tell how quiet/loud the system is without something playing. All the research I have done that have this problem is when the TV is connected with Optical, but I am using HDMI ARC into the HDMI (ARC) port on my Samsung UA55MU6103; there is no optical cable connected. Additionally, I can confirm that the TV is only using the Sonos Arc to output music, and when I change volume, it displays on the TV as controlling a “receiver” but it only indicates “up” or “down”. Thanks for your thoughts, look forward to hearing from you.
Is upgrading to Arc from Beam worth the extra expense? Now I have a 5.1 setup with beam, Sub (gen 2), 2x Ones as rears.Recently I have upgraded my TV to LG OLED GX55 which supports Dolby Atmos through eARC. I mostly watch movies and series on Netflix, Apple TV+ or blu-rays, game on Xbox Series X (supports Atmos in trueHD) and listen to music a LOT.I created this topic because now that I have a TV that supports Dolby Atmos I feel like I might miss out on the experience having a beam instead of the ARC.Has anyone maybe upgraded already having full 5.1?Thank you in advance for all the answers.
Hi, I’m an electrician wiring in a Sonos setup for a customer. We did a kitchen remodel with 2 sets of in ceiling Sonos speakers tied to a Sonos amp with speaker wire. One set are in the kitchen and another in the living room between the kitchen and the TV. The kitchen and living room are in an open room setup with no walls in between. And both sets of speakers are visible from the TV. This was laid out by the owner and is primarily for listening to music.I believe that he has another older style Sonos amp and speakers that he will pull out and add at some point. Now he has set up a Sonos soundbar and sub-woofer at the TV and I want to tie in the ceiling speakers as rear speakers in a surround setup for him.The TV will be the source for sound on this system. I have not seen it but have been told it (the TV) has quit a few HDMI ports. I will see it tomorrow but right now I don’t know if it has fiber or other digital output options. From what I have been lead to believe is we have to tie th
I’ve recently both two One sls and used them for a week. I was really happy with the sound and decided to add an Arc (not knowing that there were bass issues). After installing is was disappointed with the sound especially in comparison with the two One sls. After fiddling around with true play (4x) the highs and mids sound fine. The bass however remains bad. Muddy/ clipping or something even at low volume. As I am a techno/ deephouse listener I expected deep bass. I was quite impressed with the bass the two small ones already displayed and expected more of the arc. TV/movies bass sounds better. It seems that there was already a software update (which I’ve done) but I can’t hear any improvement on heavy bass tracks. Does anyone still experience the same issue?( I am new to this forum so maybe already covered on another thread) If not, I am returning the Arc to the store.
I have 8 Boston Accoustic HSi 270 in ceiling speakers that I am looking at powering with 2 Sonos Amps - i.e. 4 speakers per Amp, wiring 2 Speakers in parallel per channel. These are 8Ohm speakers and It seems that they rated at 90watts. Is the power rating of the speakers an issue for this configuration? Many thanks.
Would there be any issue sending a variable level input into the Amp? I’d like to hook up a pre-amp to be able to select among several source components (CD/vinyl/tape), keep the Amp itself at a fixed volume level, and control volume with the pre-amp physical control rather than the Sonos app.Related to that, does the Amp maintain separate volume levels for the RCA and HDMI inputs? I’d like to hook up a TV directly to the Amp as well; would changing the TV volume effect the volume level that I’d set for the RCA input? In other words, assuming the above pre-amp scenario works, would I need to adjust the Amp volume every time I switched from HDMI to RCA? Or would the Amp remember the last-used RCA volume setting? Thanks!
Hi all. I have a Sonos One and I assumed I could pair it with my Win10 laptop but I can’t see anything in the app to help me pair it. My laptop can see it in Bluetooth but I can’t connect. Any advice?
Hi,I have a Sonos Beam and (independently) two Sonos Ones set-up as a stereo pair. All speakers are in my lounge and both use the S2 app on my iPhone. The Sonos Ones play fine and the Beam plays content from my TV with no problem.I wanted to use the Sonos Ones as surround speakers for the Beam, but when I try to do this in the S2 app (using the app’s set-up Wizard) I get the following error message,“Two compatible Sonos speakers are required to add surrounds. Make sure your products are powered on and connected to wifi.”All my speakers are on and working fine (independently) on the same wi-fi network. One of my Sonos Ones is in fact directly connected to the router by an ethernet cable (I get this error message whether this ethernet cable is connected or not - I’ve tried both ways).I’ve tried re-booting the Sonos Ones, and this hasn’t fixed anything. The only thing I haven’t tried yet is turning the Beam on and off.Any help/ideas are much appreciated. Many thanks,Stu
