Hello!I am considering a Sonos One SL to replace my Hitachi W200. One thing I am confused about is, if i am playing music from Apple Music to the Sonos, will it only play the music and not other things on my phone? For example, I can play Spotify to the W200 and if I play a Youtube video, or a game that has sound, those other sounds do not play on the W200 (which is the way I want it). The Hitachi has great sound but will not work with Apple Music over WiFi, I would have to switch to BT which would play the sounds I do not want. Will the Sonos work like the W200 does in WiFi?  

We have been building some higher end homes and find the clients want larger and larger TV’s but when mounting these TV’s over a fire place, book shelf or other obstacle it leaves very little room for a sound bar. Has anybody else thought of taking a sound bar and having it come apart in two pieces that could be mounted on each side of the TV vertically or horizontally, this would provide room for the TV to be  mounted lower giving a better viewing angle yet keeping the center audio projection at the TV.

Greetings!   My system includes:1 x Connect (ZP90) (connected to LAN via ethernet)2 x Connect:Amp (ZP120)  All running S1 with the latest firmware and software.   I want to play audio (for example, YouTube video) from a iOS device to a Sonos unit over Wi-Fi.  Is this possible?Thank you.

I've read several posts about the Play 5_2nd Gen suddenly having problems due to a defective WiFi card. Although it appears that Sonos has been replacing the defective units (when notified) it still gives me pause. Do I need to be concerned about my two (2) out of warranty Play 5 2nd Gen's developing the same issue? If it is widespread I would hope that Sonos would issue a re-call to replace the units similar to what Microsoft did with the 1st Gen Xbox One units manufactured in a certain lot. Can anyone at Sonos elaborate?

I recently installed an iPad wall mount for controlling my Sonos system and smart home devices. In order to easily control both Sonos & Apple Home without switching screens, I’ve setup the two apps in split screen mode: This works really nicely, however, every time the Sonos app runs an update, the layout of the now playing view on the Sonos app gets squished to look like this (red border added): In order to fix it I have to remove the app from split screen mode and then re-add it. A minor annoyance, but I’m finding this is happening about once a week, and the idea with this wall mount is that I don’t have to fuss with anything and “it just works”. So I’m posting here hoping that someone @Sonos is listening and can report this bug to their iOS team. Hello everybody,I have a SONOS home theater system consisting of a SONOS BEAM soundbar and two SONOS ONE speakers and everything works perfectly.I have now purchased a SONOS FIVE and would like to add it to the same room as my home theater system.The problem is that when I reproduce the same sound source in the home cinema (BEAM + 2 ONE) and the FIVE produces an echo or latency between the home cinema and the FIVE very unpleasant, is it possible to correct this?Thanks.

HiI have a Beam with 2 Sonos One in my living room. When I use my TV as the sound source most of the sound comes from the Beam and there is low volume from the Sonos Ones. I do not get the true surround sound. When I use my Macbook Pro as the sound source then I get a true surround sound experience. I can play the same TV program from my MBP and then from my TV and I can hear a definite difference in the sound quality as I switch from one source to the other. I have tried all the audio settings I can find on the TV and YouView boxand have not been able to improve the sound. Can anyone help ? My set up is:Panasonic TV TX-L37G10BBT Youview+ Freeview set top boxBeam is fed from Optical out from TV 

Can you use Amp to connect dual subs to just a stereo pair of Fives without the normally required soundbar as the hub?

I just upgraded my controller to 12.2.2 (OS S2) and the iPhone app is now super slow, and sometimes freezes, any ideas or fixes out there?App tells me it’s also 12.2.2.I have done all the usual, reboots, resets etc - no changes. Other iPhones are also slow, also does not mater what source i am trying to play !!any ideas? And Happy New Year !!!!  

I have a turntable and intend to retire my whole stereo sound systems, replacing it with my recently bought Sonos ARC which is connected to my TV now. However, I have a turntable which I am not sure if I can connect to ARC. I assume I need some equipment to connect to the TV and out to Sonos ARC but it would mean I need to have my TV on when I use the turntable ? I was looking at AMP and I suspect it is not the system to do it, as it connect to existing speakers not to ARC. Any advice out there ?  

I am trying to install a Sonos Arc right above my motorized projector screen. Please see digram. There is a hanging decorative box in the middle of my middle room which is ideal to install an in-ceiling flushed motorized projector screen,  ~16 feet throw distance to the projector.  This room also has vaulted ceiling.  I am planning on using HDFury Arcana to split the 4K+Atmos from Apple TV 4k and send audio to Sonos Arc and 4k Video to projector. Since there is nothing in the middle of the room (no walls) to install the sound bar, the only place I can think of is above the screen , right at the edge (see digram).  Atmos requires upward angled speakers to drive sound with an angle to the ceiling so they can reflect back to the listening position and create the feeling of fully emerged sound. In order to get the front facing speakers in Arc to point to the sitting position, I have to tilt down the arc about 28 degrees. This means the already angled speakers on top of Arc will be pointing

Hijust set up my new Arc with my Sony A1 oled tv  I have done plenty reading here about atmos/arc/earc etc  sony a1 does not have eArc which I knew !but maybe I read too much here  about this so maybe someone can clear something up for me ! set was easy and  arc sounds beautiful …now I have upgraded from a pretty old home cinema so any upgrade would be better ..doh !! anyway while playing a a good example of Dolby 5.1  I tried “6 underground” on Netflix, I seen that this was in Dolby atmos …so expected it to play in Dolby 5.1 while playing through the Sonos app the sound says on the app Dolby atmos !!if I do not  have an eArc on Sony a1 should this not say Dolby 5.1 Iam  sure i read here that the app will play/decode only what it receives from tv    

I received my ARC today and my immediate impression is that it is a major step backward from the sound quality of the BEAM.  Anyone swapped out the BEAM for an ARC and achieve positive results?  Same iPhone 12 phone used for Trulpay tuning of both setups.  Anyone regretted not returning their ARC within the 45 day window?   I really want to love this thing but it doesn’t sound as good as it’s little brother IMO. 

when will my roam arrive

I have an  Sonos Arc connected to a Samsung TU8000 television via EARC. I am unable to watch DTS encoded blu rays because my TV won't pass through LPCM, but rather only passes through stereo PCM. What is my least expensive workaround for this issue? I don't understand why it was a benefit for Sonos to issue a firmware update to support LPCM when according to rtings.com no television can pass-through multi channel LPCM. Thanks for any help.

So I have a Playbar, and 6 other Sonos One speakers around my house…(trouble is they are all pre-Airplay2)If I were to buy the Roam and Airplay direct to that and group all the speakers to the Roam, does that mean I can effectively have Airplay2 from my iphone Music app throughout the house?

I am planning to set up Sonos Sub + Sonos Amp + HiFi bookshelves. Is there a possibility of purchasing a Graphic Equalizer and via Amp EQing the system's sound? Most importantly frequency range of 1k-9k, mainly treble. If I can EQ the Sub that's great but my main goal is EQing the speakers. Thanks. 

I currently have a projector with an Amazon Firestick and a BluRay player plugged into its two hdmi inputs. Stereo audio out from the projector goes to a stereo Bluetooth speaker (JBL Extreme) via a cable.I've just moved house and now have a dedicated cinema room. I want to use a Sonos Arc to give me a Dolby Atmos capability but need to be able to stream videos (from a 4K Amazon Firestick), play BluRay videos and also play Xbox games. The Arc only has a single HDMI input so what's the solution? 

Can you add a bluetooth device like a turntable and use the Roam to play on your system?

Contemplating purchasing the Sonos Amp, with 4 new Sonos ceiling speakers to replace some low end ones currently installed. Can I run the wireless Sonos sub whilesimultaneously playing with the music in the 4 ceiling speakers ??

Hi everyone,I was very excited to hear that Qobuz now supports Hi-Res streaming on Sonos S2 devices. However my excitement rapidly changed to dissapointment I realised that most of Qobuz’s catalogue is higher than the 24-bit/48 kHz which Sonos supports. Anything higher is played 16-bit/44.1 kHz FLAC which defeats the purpose. I have asked Qobuz if they could make their entire catalogue of Hi-res available in 24-bit/48 kHz but it is  a big ask and I don’t hold that much hope that it will happen. I wonder what the community thinks about this.Thanks 

Can I use 2 upgrade discounts on the one new product purchase?

My question, does the Sonos Subwoofer output uses the 0.1 LFE (Low Frequency Effects) channel from Dolby 5.1? And where/how can I verify or test it?If it is not there, you will loose low freq special effects in the audio.I own a Onkyo A-9050 (stereo amp with subwoofer RCA out), but when it broke I used schematics to repair it. Then I noticed that the subwoofer out was just a 80hz lowpassfilter and the 0.1 LFE channel was not used at all even when the amp had a Optical input.My setup is a B&W DM605 S2 and I now use a Optical TOSLINK from my 2019 LG-TV but I will change to HDMI ARC with a new 2.1 Amp. (maybe the SonosAmp).hopefully someone can help me.  

I’m looking for advice on which Sonos product I could use with ViewSonic X10-4K - a wireless connection doesn’t seem to work, so I believe I’d rely on cable connection? I’d appreciate any help, thank you.
