I’m hoping someone from Sonos can check out my order and give me an ETA on shipping.Tried contacting Sonos via the online email form, but have had no answer from them at all.
So here is the situation. I have a beam and two sonos 3's in my living room. They are on S2. I really want to play my vinyl on sonos but can't afford to spend that much. Someone will sell me a play:5 (1st gen). If I get that, will I be able to plug my vinyl player into that speaker and it play through all my sonos speakers? I understand I might have to downgrade to S1 but from what I read that isn't that difficult or an issue. Any advice would be very welcomeThanks
Hello,I would like to trade up sonos bridge to get 30% discount but i don't see it in my New account with Sonos Beam, Sonos Move and Sonos Play one X2. How Can i do?Thank you
I`ve got the TV connected to a Sonos bar and there are also two Sonos speakers at the back of the room. The Sonos Controller recognized it all as Living Room. The TV appears as a Source in the Sonos Controller. This works okay when I watch TV.I`ve got other rooms set up as well. I`ve created a group called Whole House which includes all rooms except the Living Room. This works okay when I listen to music.Question 1 - Recently, one of the rear Living Room speakers has been lost from “Living Room” and has appeared as a new room called “Den”. So when I watch TV, I need to group Living Room with Den so I can hear the TV through both rear speakers. Do I just need to Pair it with the other rear speaker?Question 2 - When I`m playing music in the Whole House group, I want to hear it in the Living Room as well, so I add the Living Room+Den to the Whole House group. However, this means they don't work when I watch TV, so I then need to remove the Living Room+Den from the Whole House group. Befor
Hi, I got the originalwireless charger today. It takes 3 hours for 0-56%. Is this normal?Sorry for my english.
I have been trying to set up my Sonos Arc with my TV which does not have an ARC port. This has proved to be exceptionally frustrating, and pretty much every part of the system owns a piece of the blame. The TV, as I said, does not have ARC. Streaming services only seem to offer Dolby Digital Plus, which doesn’t work over optical audio, and cannot down-convert to Dolby Digital (not plus). It seems there is only one (the HDFury Arcana) box that can split an ARC signal off of a normal HDMI. Although this all comes together to create a perfect storm of incompatibility, I wan’t to ask here about the design of the Sonos Arc. From what I can tell, most home theater setups have an HDMI input coming into a receiver, which passes sound to all the speakers, and video on to the TV through an HDMI. It seems like the Arc reverses this setup, going backwards from the TV into the Arc, which is effectively acting as the receiver. Why was this design choice made, and why is there no HDMI pass thr
Got the new roam and connecting to to a group of 2 other speakers. It sits in the same position in my house.I can see all three in the group, however the roam doesn’t have any sound. The only way I can get it working is to ungroup and regroup them. I spoke to Sonos who suggested I ungroup everything, then start witht the roam adding the other speakers. It works for a while, then when I go back to it a few hours later the group is the same but the roam is not playing.I’ve had no other issues with my sonos speakers other than this - its becoming really annoying - i am seriously thinking about returning this for a refund.
When Spotify goes cd quality later this year will the S1 System and legacy players (of which I have many) be able to stream it? I hope so as streaming cd quality Spotify would obviously not be beyond the capabilities of legacy connects and amps which already stream 16/44 Tidal and Qobuz. Please confirm that streaming Spotify HIFI will be possible with S1.I do feel let down and stranded as a customer when I am constantly worrying if my expensive system that took years to save up for will be the victim of ruthless planned obsolescence by denial of a software tweak required to keep it functional. If Sonos withhold the ability for these players to stream spotify at 16/44 as a lever try to force existing customers to upgrade to new products it would show considerable contempt and disregard for the loyalty their large historic customer base. Rant over, sorry, but why do I feel pessimistic about this?
HI - I am having a problem seeing my “imported playlists” after doing some iTunes maintenance this week. Here’s what I’ve done. Created a new share on my Synology NAS. This is \\192.168.1.2\AppleMusic On a new PC build, I installed iTunes, mapped a network drive the above share as M:\ and told iTunes that’s where my library is. On the new iTunes install, I downloaded all my files (~9300) via iTunes match. They are now in the share. Told Sonos that that the file share is a music library folder Re-indexed the library in the controller “Consolidated” the iTunes library a few times. All songs, albums, and artists are available in the Sonos App. Playlists are not. The playlists are visible in iTunes and work fine. I have tried copying iTunes Library.itl into the share and re-indexing but it didn’t work. I know I’m missing something simple. LMK if you guys have any thoughts! ThanksDave
I have my turntable (Pro-Ject: T1 BT) plugged into the Port and when playing a record the autoplay does not start. However, I can go into the Sonos app and select manually Line-In as the source and the record will play into the room to my Beam. I have rebooted the system and no dice. Pretty frustrating that Autoplay doesn’t work and having to select the source manually every time.
Hi, long time Sonos user w/ multiple products with a very unusual question. We have a new aussiedoodle pup who is very curious.. recently we found him chewing on something under the couch. Lo and behold, he managed to scrape off the sync button for our Sonos Sub and mangle it good. He didnt swallow it.. but I sure could use a replacement. Sonos.. or anyone, could you help me get a new sync button for a Sonos Sub Gen:1? We will try to keep Zorro away from it. Zorro thanks you in advance.
For all the times when I forget to manually put my wireless speaker into Sleep Mode: I’d like to request settings in the app that let you select the amount of idle time before Sonos Roam automatically goes into Sleep Mode. Half an hour after music stops is a long time for me and eats up battery power, and some flexibility here would be great. PS. First Sonos product and I’m very impressed so far!
I am trying to connect sound bar to TV. I have don’t have any more HDMI ports on TV. So I am using the optical cable with HDMI cable, went thru all steps and app says connected by there is no sound going from tv into sound bar.
Pre-ordered the roam on 03/09 and recall seeing a delivery date for 04/20 but now I don't see anything indicating that date. Are there any updates for pre-order delivery timelines?
There is a thread on this specific to LG televisions. When using a Panasonic 4K player and outputting DTS as LPCM, Arc only plays in stereo.I do not want an Arcana, I’m looking for the simplest possible setup.I want an 85 or 86” TV. Are any Arc users having success with another brand of TV that successfully passes multichannel surround LPCM from the Panasonic to their Arc? (Dolby Vision is a plus, but that knocks out Samsung)thanks!
Hello I’m considering buying something like Cambridge audio Evo 75 or Cambridge cxn v2. Question is: if I connect any of these devices from pre out to play 5 line in, I’ll be using the Sonos dac? How will sound quality would be versus direct streaming from iPad ?
I am looking to swap my playbar for a playbase, any advice on where to go?
Hi, When my I change the channel on my Sky Q box from one broadcasting in DD2.0 to one broadcasting in DD5.1, the Beam goes completely silent. The only way to bring the audio back is the turn the Sky Q box off and on, or to reset the input of the Beam to TV. I’d hope that this could be fixed as its really annoying. The beam is attached via ARC to my LG 43 UM7500PLA with hdmi-arc set to pass through, I’ve also got 2 ikea simfonisks connected as surrounds. This same “bug” occurs when connected via optical, leading me to think the issue is with the beam rather than with my tv or Sky Q box. I’m willing and open to being corrected.Once I’ve power cycled my Sky Q box or reconfirmed the TV input to the beam, when going back to a DD2.0 broadcast the beam from the DD5.1 broadcast the beam behaves just fine. Diagnostics number 1069721209Any help would be great, thanks very much.
Hi Everyone I am not super tech. Suddenly most of my zones say INCOMPATIBLE. I clicked the update and it says there is a problem . I did retry a few times but still nothing is happening. Please help.
I can not add anymore my two standalone Play:1 speakers to my Playbase as surround speakers. My Playbase is connected via Ethernet. My Play:1 are WiFi connected. After the surround wizard the app shows me an error than not all speakers could be added and I can do a retry. But if I just swipe down the error msg it shows me both Play:1 speakers as added. In fact only one is added to my Playbase and the other not. In Trueplay calibration wizard only one Play:1 Speaker and Playbase is playing the test sound. The ohter is quiet.Even after a full factory reset of all speakers. Same behavior. But my two Play:1 speakers can be used as Stereo Speakers, this works fine. What is wrong here?Diagnostic # 1265119658
Hi Sonos, Having lots of sonos devices both older and new generation all over the house, these days it is becoming very difficult to keep s1 and s2 separate and managing the devices separately. And managing music services with restrictions are becoming increasingly annoying nowadays. If sonos could kindly come up with a new app which combines both s1 and s2 in one single app and group the older and newer gen devices in separate zones internally. I understand the 2 generations have technical incompatibility and we have 2 apps to manage that, but keeping them separate in 2 zones under 1 app would be possible if they want to make the decade old sonos fans happy. Accumulated over the time and giving up lot of those incredible devices which works and sounds great for 30% discount is not always easy as we think. I believe many of the old sonos fans would love this idea. Just thought of asking it here..Thanks
Hi - is there any way that I can stop my TV (LG OLED) from always connecting and playing audio to my Sonos Amp through HDMI ARC? When I manually select the internal speakers on my TV, within a few seconds it reconnects to the Amp via ARC.I’d turn off the Amp if I could but it doesn’t have an off button! The reason I want sound through the TV speakers is because they are much quieter and we don’t hear them when the kids get up early and start watching TV.Thanks
I have an arc, sub and 2 one sl’s. I am planning to upgrade to a new Tv. The Panasonic 50HX820B looks good with Dolby Atmos which should, in theory, make the most of my set-up when streaming Netflix or Amazon Prime via the Tv. However it seems to output Arc, not eArc. Will that make a difference to my sound experience?
I have a laptop that i would like to get on my Sonos system. Is it best to buy the new five with a Line in or should it be the port. If i choose the new five would the Sound come out on all my speakers
Moved house, now have BT Full fibre Halo whereas old hoise was on VodafoneHad Sonos products for last 8 years, now around 10, without any issues. Our new house has full fibre system supplied by BT has full access speeds at the hub circa 150Mb.Yet around the house, from 1m to 10m away from the router the speed through Speedtest barely reaches 90Mbs just a meter away, Now TV (wired) has the spinning logo during viewing. Use a Boost off the router, all other Sonos appear off this port (BT Hub Manager) as thick walls, and ceilings Downstairs: Boost, Sonos One, Two Play3s, (Beam or Arc coming soon) (sold PlayBar & Play 5)Upstairs: Sonos One, two Play 1s BT claim it is the SONOS system that is at fault and is a know problem ? ? ? ? !!!! The Boost Anyone any ideas of pointers or set-up advice I can rebuff them with as I never had this with Vodafone.
