Do you know if it’s planned, that Sonos App let control volume of speaker again through iPhone volume buttons?I did read, that it is not possible anymore, because of Apple’s decision. But I am wondering, why I can control the volume of my Bose SoundTouch Series 2 WiFi speaker in the Bose app with the iPhone volume buttons. It’s the same, isn’t it? The Bose app itself also does not play music and no AirPlay or Bluetooth is used.
When trying to delete a Sonos Music Library song or album from the shared folder on my PC so they no longer appear in my Music Library and are no longer on my hard drive, which related files do I delete? I would guess I need to delete the flac, jpg, log and cue files. Is that correct? And to delete an entire album, do I just delete all the files related to all the songs in that album?
The company told me that they do not provide replacements. Does anybody had some advice?
Hey, any advice would be appreciated please :-) I want to put ceiling speakers across 3 rooms. room one is 60m2 room two is 39m2room 3 is 15m2 my question is two fold: how many speakers would you recommend in each room and how many amps would I need to fuel all speakers to potentially be playing same music at same time? Thanks in advance !
We are currently building a new home with a large outdoor patio leading onto our pool,My main audio system is very high end and we will be able to hear it when the doors are all open,But for times when they will be closed, I Would like to have some music of decent quality in the area,We have Sonos in our TV room and bedroom. So want to stay on brand. My choices would be 2 Sonance 8” in ceiling with amp, a pair of ERA 300s or a couple of Move 2,sSo what would be the best for overall sound quality?
An an existing owner (and shareholder!!) got the 25% sale offer. I really wanted to upgrade to an Arc Ultra but the discount doesn’t apply to it. I’m quite miffed at that. I’m happy with my existing setup except for the Beam. Why in the world would I be restricted to stuff I don’t want??And any other recommendations to use the discount? I use Sonos for surround sound in my TV room.
"I have a large living room (72 m²) with challenging acoustics, and I need the best Sonos setup for optimal sound (audio only, no TV). Here are the room details:"📐 Room dimensions:Length: 10 meters Width: 7 meters Ceiling height: 4 meters in most of the space 7 meters in the right short wall and the bottom long wall (meters 7 to 10) 🏡 Room materials:Floor: Full stone (granite). Large glass wall → Less sound absorption, potential reverberation. High ceilings in some areas → Bass frequencies might get lost.❓ What is the best Sonos speaker placement to achieve optimal sound quality in this room?Which speakers should I use (Era 300, Sonos Five, Era 100, Sub, etc.)? I’ve linked to my Apple Music library, but am having problems with playlists. The playlists appear as weird long names and there are hundreds of them (for example: P876360113-As95196478_audio_en_gr256_mp4). I’ve made sure I include the folder share where Apple Music library is and also I’ve manually exported the library to XML format where the music files are kept, but I can’t seem to get it to work.
I have an apartment of 300sqm and there are the following rooms:Living room with 5 speakers (zone 1-2)Kitchen with 2 speakers (zone 3)Master bedroom+bathroom with 2+1 speakers (zone 4)Bedroom with 2 speakers (zone 5) TV room with 2 speakers (zone 6) The wires of all speakers are ending in one place in the living room. I’m considering on getting 4-6 Sonos Amp devices in order to have 4-6 zones.I use Spotify, Apple music and other streaming services. My mobile devices are iPhone, iPad etc.Am I able to use Spotify in zones 1-2-3 and Apple Music in zones 4-5?Is it easy for my family members (teenagers and adults) to make basic adjustments and selections in apps, volumes, zones etc? Could you provide me with some screenshots of the Sonos App to see the software environment?I’m new to Sonos, i asked a retailer in my region but he didn’t satisfy all my questions. What is your opinion?Should I get only Sonos Amp devices or I could use some Sonos Port devices to combine them? Thanks in advance
I have a Beam Gen 2 speaker with a sub-mini and I am thinking of adding two speakers for a surround sound experience when watching movies. I have a modest sized Lounge and the current set-up gives good sound quality. Any thoughts on the best additional speakers to purchase? Thanks and happy Listening.
One common use case for me is using my headphones while cycling to the office - a rather challenging task for noise isolation headphones.Coming from a pair of Bose QC 45 to Sonos Ace, I miss a lot the wind rejection noise isolation feature (marketed as “Commute” by Bose), so I would like to kindly request this feature for Sonos’ headphones too. From a technical point of view, I don’t really think it’s that hard to at least create a proof-of-concept, as the wind has usually known frequencies.
I have a problem with my hearing. I have some problems with deep (bass) voices merging into one. The right ear is worse but I can usually hear what I need. My main problem is that certain letters sound different ie S sounds like F etc . I hear my tv ( 1 year old top spec) but due to the letter issues I sometimes loose the plot. All this is not severe so most people would not know.I’m hoping a sound bar and perhaps speakers will help. I have been looking at the Sonos Beam and Arc sound bars. Perhaps a speaker might also help but as low tones merge I’m assuming the the bass speaker would not help /improve my experience. Can anyone help with suggestions or a personal experience.
Hi!. I’ve just started with somos arc ultra and i’d like ti know wich surround soeakers and sunwoofer i need to complete my home cinema (médium size room) . Itll be enougb with sub mini and era 100?
With so many streaming platforms available, which ones work best with Sonos in terms of quality, compatibility, and features? Let’s compare services like Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, and others to see which offers the best experience.
I would like to add ceiling speakers / amp to a summer house/gym, what do I need to set this up correctly?I will have internet hard wired to the summer house/gym. do i need to consider anything else? thanks in advance.
When you spend 2700 on a surround setup you would hope it has a power button. Brand new 3200 lg tv always reverts back to sonos even when switched to TV speakers. I have to unplug from the wall everytime we are not watching a movie.
I’m new to the Community, as I’m trying to find a solution to a long time problem. I can’t see an answer when I search the Community, so here’s the problem.I tend to play direct from Spotify to my Sonos system. I’ve had a problem for some months now that sometimes tracks just repeat themselves - could be from a playlist or an album, but basically just repeats track. There’s some weird stuff going on, as what’s on screen is ‘stuck’ - so looks like it’s halfway through playing a song, but actually it’s moved on to playing the song again.I don’t have this problem with Spotify playing to headphones / car, just to Sonos speakers. And when I play from within the Sonos app, not a problem either.I have had a few other problems (speakers dropping off the system, needing a reset to rejoin the system) but I’ve been able to fix these.I tried Spotify support, thinking may be a Spotify rather than Sonos issue - their solution was to uninstall and reinstall Spotify app, which worked for about a day b
Hello, I have a Sonos Beam (Gen 2) connected to the HDMI ARC (not eARC) on my Samsung Q60R, and honestly, I'm completely stuck with the setup. So far, I can only get the sound to output in PCM 2.0 stereo or DD/DD+ stereo. I've already checked the TV settings, and there's no "Passthrough" option to let the soundbar handle the decoding. I have the option to connect it via Optical, but I'm not sure if that would help me achieve my goal of at least using the 5.1 channels (for now, without a subwoofer). Any ideas that could help me? Thanks!
Our fire station just got an LG 75UT8000. We have been doing surround sound through a Samsung tv prior. As of right now I can get surround through the LG when playing through the built in apps. But I only get PCM when playing through the HDMI output which plays from an Apple TV 4K. There were no issues through Apple TV on Samsung TV. I haven't changed settings on Apple TV. I've tried auto & pass through options on LG TV and still get PCM through the Apple TV. Currently connected optical output audio through a Sonos Playbar. Thanks for any insight
Hi,Would placing the era 300 upside down around 50cm from ceiling affect sound quality that much?Perceptually how would it differ from placing them at ear level? Thanks
When will the Arc Ultra available in India ?
Community consensus: Impossible or difficulty to connect bluetooth headphones to SonosGoogle AI: Yes you can - if you have a ‘bluetooth transmitter’ - but Sonos devices are receivers onlySonos App: ‘Add headphone’ → steps a b and cMe: Sonos App procedure doesn’t work. But isn’t my phone or computer a ‘bluetooth transmitter’?So what is going on ? Can I or can’t I use bluetooth headphones?
I have been having an issue for months where during every third song while streaming Apple Music, Dolby Atmos clicks off and the song reverts to just stereo. I either have to pause the song and restart or back the song up to the beginning to re-enable Atmos. I can’t believe the engineers aren’t aware of this issue. It is extremely aggravating. It’s always something with this app. I have Arc Ultra, Era 300’s, and Sub gen 3.
Hope someone can advise me pleasecan I connect two walled speakers with cable and also use a wireless speaker with a Sonos ampTIA
I use the external library feature to stream Atmos tracks to my Era 300 this works fine with eac3 (DD+) in an mp4 container. What I would really like to do as well is the stream TruHD ripped from my Blue-ray audio disks. This only works in an mkv container which Sonos does not support. Any chance of putting this a future feature
