A Beam, A Five, and Mini Sub - multiple living room setups... how???

Hi All,

In my living room I have a Beam, a Mini Sub, and a Five.

Here are my dreams…
1. Have the Beam and the Mini Sub for watching TV / movies.

2.Be able to swap to the Five and Mini Sub when listening to just music / records. I want better quality audio than a sound bar can offer for music listening, plus my record player is on the other side of the room and want a speaker near that.

3. Being able to go all out and have the 3 speakers play.

The issue I am running into is I cannot get the Five to join the others in one room on the app or I can only connect the Mini Sub to either the Beam or the Five.

Is what I am dreaming possible?

Does the Port solve any of this?

Would a pair of Era 100’s and 300’s plus the Five make this possible and just ditch the sound bar?

Ditch the single Five and go with a pair of 300’s or 100’s and keep the beam? But then theres the problem of turntable connectivity and the Port is pricey...

Can I make a group with all the speakers and just mute the beam?

Bonus question… if I have the Five, the Beam, and the Mini Sub in a group, and I play a turntable through the 5’s hard input, will it stream to the Sub and Beam? I’m guessing no and I’m probably gonna have to buy the Port…

Thank you

I talked to a Sonos Customer Rep and think I figured it out.

Since the Mini Sub can only be bonded to one speaker, I would just need to play everything through all 3 speakers. Not ideal as I would want to have just the Five and the Mini Sub, but not the worst either as I would be getting the added sound of the Beam.
If I really wanted to oust the Beam then I could just go through the process moving the Mini Sub.

I could just go with a Beam, 2x Era 100’s, and the Mini Sub, however, the issue is I dont want to have 2 speaker stands for the Eras, so I think I just got to suck it up. Then I also save the expense of buying the Port.

I guess the remaining battle is the quality of the Five, and space saving of the Era stands and price of the Port vs a Beam, Mini Sub, 2x Era 100s, and a Port.

The Sub can only be bonded to one speaker (or speaker set), so in your setup it’s an either/or choice. But, you can group the two rooms. Or get another Five and set them up as surrounds (which needs two of the same speaker) - or a stereo pair with the existing Five.

So, say I returned the beam. I could do say two Era 100’s as a pair, the Five, and the sub?
