I live in France and have been using Sounds to access Radio 4 live, for many years. I now hear I will not be able to do so.
Any solutions please?

What is “Sounds”? Where can we find what you have heard?

They are talking about “BBC Sounds”, which is a service you can add to your Sonos system, in the UK.
However, some of its content is geo-blocked, and the OP is in France so is likely hitting those restrictions.
Weirdly I am on the other side of the Atlantic from France and have no trouble playing Radio 4 through it. I am not allowed to even list Podcasts though.
Dear 106rallye,
‘Sounds’ is the app that allows one to connect to BBC radio and TV. I’m only interested in the radio connection. It is working fine at the moment BUT there is a warning on the site:
‘We're replacing BBC Sounds outside the UK and bringing you BBC.com, a seamless way to read, watch, and listen - all in one place.
Visit bbc.com/audio or need more help?’
I’m just trying to get ready for trouble. thanks
Dear controlav,
Yes everything is fine at the moment. But the warning relates to "spring 2025"
I’ve added BBC Sounds by temporarily changing my address to somewhere in the UK and adding BCC Sounds as a content service:
See https://support.sonos.com/en-us/services/bbc-sounds
I think BBC Sounds is for radio BBC iPlayer is for TV?

I’d guess were are screwed. Looks like podcasts will be exposed, somehow, but I see no mention of live radio stations.
To my knowledge BBC Sounds should never have worked for people outside the UK, whence the need to change your address to be able to ad it as a content service. Not sure what the change will be now.
