Hi everyone!Today I finally managed to get my hands on the Sonos Roam and so far the experience is been great. There’s just one thing I’m wondering:Is it normal for the Sonos Roam to get warm while it is being used? I also own a Sonos Move and it gets warm as well but just in the area in which the amplifier is located. For the Sonos Roam however the warmth can be felt on the almost entire surface of the product.
Does the Arc switch off when the tv switches off and how can you tell?,the lights don’t alter, the only time it does is when on mute
I have 4 x Play One's, a playbase and a sub. Can I use all of these in a Sonos set up like 5.1?

Hi All, Has anyone experienced issues with e-Arc compatibility on their new Samsung Frame 2021 model LS03A model TV’s?Do we still have issues with sound cutting in and out?

I have a McIntosh-based stereo system and want to add an outdoor Sonos-based system. I’d like to have the outdoor system be able to play what my McIntosh stereo system is playing; my stereo system uses a variety of sources, including a turntable and a streamer running to the preamp. Which Sonos products would I get to do this? Thank you!GearMC312 Power Amp C53 Pre-Amp Turntable Bluesound Node
Hello, just after opinions on Amazon Music Prime?.I'm looking at getting the Amazon Prime account with Music Prime. How well does that work with Sonos and can you select individual songs or is it just playlists?.I'm aware they do Music Ultimate but I'm only interested in how the Prime works with Sonos.Any comments appreciated!.Cheers, Keith.
I’d like to request the ability in the app to turn off the surrounds completely when listening to music. Currently the lowest you go can is Ambient/zero, which still allows some sound to be audible from the surrounds. I’m sure there are users out there who would enjoy the reverse as well, where you can keep the surrounds on for music, but mute completely for TV/Movies. My setup includes an Amp, 2nd gen sub, and Ikea Symfonisks for the rears.
I’m thinking of buying a Beam to use in my home office. I have the following requirements:Able to take sound from Macbook, without lag (used for Teams calls etc) Able to take sound from gaming pc Easy to switch between sourcesA few questions:Has anyone got a similar setup? If so, how do you find it? Does the Beam cope will with being sat <1m away? I was a bit concerned at the soundstage not being ideal.I was on the verge of buying some Audioengine a2 speakers but would rather a Sonos product to integrate with the rest of the kit at home.
I have the Fire HD 7 4th generation using OS 5.6.8.0..Sonos S2 App is not supported. What can I do if anything?
Hi all - I just purchased a vacation home & want to:Set up 3 new speakers at my new locationUse the same App & services already established in my primary residence, to control the new speakers.WIFI network & name will be distinctDo I set up the speakers as new, or connect to existing system?I do not want separate accounts & I DO want to be able to access the services already set up for this. Thanks for the help.
I'm having a wired SonosNET setup. (playbar is wired). The sub, 4 ONE's and the PORT are not wired, but will strengthen the SonosNET mesh setup (i was told)As I still encounter an occasional drop out (Wifi is on channel 1, SonosNET is on channel 11), I'm wondering if it would help to also wire the PORT….or to purchase an additional BOOST.In case a BOOST is suggested, should I then wire this one? Or will it also strengthen the SonosNET being wireless? Thanks upfront for your suggestions.
I would like the sub level to be discrete for music/tv - as per the surrounds when grouped with an Arc. Being able to adjust the surrounds (in my case 2x play5 g2) is great, but the sub is stuck at a single level - I have to set to -4 at least on most good films/shows but then move back to 0 for music
It’s a good app but running on macos it starts out at 100mbs which is fine but keeps growing until it’s using 1GB of memory. (on the latest sonos desktop app and version of MacOs). Needs fixing
I have always been using the Sonos App, with the Deezer music service connected. This works, but the functionality available is never as good as the Deezer app itself. The Deezer app couldn’t play on the Sonos speakers though, so I never used it.I just discovered that Deezer has (finally) allowed us to connect to Sonos from the Deezer App. Select the “Audio Output” with Airplay. I now see my more recent Beam and from there can group some of my older speakers. This is great, as I now can use all of the functionality in the Deezer App, not the limited set from the Sonos App/Deezer plugin. The big surprise though is this sounds better. I’m not sure if I’m imagining it or not, but there seems to be a marked improvement in sound. The songs I’m playing now are all marked “HQ”, but AFAIK I was streaming high quality audio using the previous Sonos App with Deezer configuration. Is it possible I really am getting better sound with this configuration?
I am looking for best wireless speakers. A lot of document recommended KEF lsx , klipsch fives and naim muso qb... Why should I buy sonos five?
My system is setup on a 2021 LG 77CX - using hdmi e-arc input & hard wired to Wi-Fi. The system was set up with true play and seem to have worked as designed. when watching movies thru Netflix/prime tv including Dolby digital rarely if ever do I hear sound effects from the two rear speakers. any suggestions?
Why is it such a d***dance to connect to everything. I am $5K in to this product and love it after it takes an month to set it up. The Roam and trying to connect to bluetooth has ruined one raod trip hotel party and 2 golf games. Stop trying to be cute and innovate and just do what every other speaker does on the market and connect to bluetooth with a simple button. Seriously, its f*****g annoying how much work it takes to get your product to work. I have bought everything in the line up and love the sound quality when it works but it is serioulsy a 12/10 on the D**dance scale to connect to it at any given time Less getting cute on trying to get us to pay for radio stations and put all of the focus on R&D doing the simple things to make your premium priced speakers work without the hassle that you haven’t worked through If you have 5 pages of FAQ’s on how to solve problems then clearly you haven’t got there yourselfBe better please, I’m a huge fan and invested heavily Moderat
I have the 5 Gen 1 speaker. The bridge stopped working. Should I replace with boost or upgrade to the newest Sonos system? If I don’t get the boost I know I can directly plug my router into the speaker but I won’t be able to move the speaker around the house. Can I bypass the router completely by using my phone’s network to access the internet? Thank you.
So it’s been months since S2. Before the update, S1 was already able to play back flac 24/48. The promise was of more HiRes audio to come. I sold my gen1 connect in anticipation, bought a Port. And waited. I can still play the only same files as before, I’m a couple hundred pounds down, and feeling a little duped to be honest. Just curious whether there are others feeling the same....
Hi,I am trying to figure out how I can use sonos (and also which sonos devices) using it both as audio output for my beamer and to listen to music from a DVD/CD player and stream from a smartphone.I will basically have a TV and a Beamer as outputs:TV : Video & Audio output (HDMI) - using the TV speaker as audio output Beamer: Video output (HDMI) - the Audio which goes to the beamer should always go to the Sonos SetupI want to do the following setup using an HMDI Matrix 4x2:Inputs: Apple TV DVD/CD Player TV Box Computer or Gaming setupOutputs:TV (Video & Audio) Beamer (Video) - Audio to Sonos Setup (coaxial or optical)The idea was to get the sounds from a pair of Sonos One (or One SL?). But maybe I also require more equipment. Anyone could help?Setup IdeaI am not sure how I can make all this equipment work together and don’t really know what to use form Sonos. I would also like to avoid latency in the audio while watching a movie.I also have ductwork (empty tubes) going from my
I just recently bought the beam for my small apartment and I’m looking to expand to the 5.1 surround setup. Should I get the Play:1s or Ones for my rears first or the sub first? I want to gradually get to the 5.1 because of the cost.
Hello all, I have been mostly a lurker here and really appreciate how much info everyone has shared. This morning I solved a pesky problem and wanted to share.I have several Sonos around the house (using wired connection/SonosNet) but this specific problem relates to my upstairs room where I have an old Yamaha receiver, Sony CD player and Audio Technica turntable wired to a sub and non-powered speakers. The receiver is hooked up to a Sonos Connect. In the room are two G1 Play:5s. All this played together well for a couple of years, with no lags when playing LPs or CDs. That started about a month ago. Boo! I went through the forums and tried adjusting compression, selecting AutoPlay, changing channels, etc. without success. I thought the lag would just be a fact of life, I would just have to mute either the speakers or 5s when playing discs. Then over the weekend I wanted to play a CD with one of the 5s outside. It just kept dropping out and was driving me nuts (y'all know how it is). U
Re this message from WD-Western Digital has an important announcement for registered My Book Live or My Book Live Duo customers.Immediately disconnect your My Book Live device from the Internet to protect your data from ongoing attacks. You can disconnect the device and continue to access your data locally by following these instructions on our Knowledge Base. Some My Book Live devices connected to the Internet are being compromised by attackers and in some cases, the attackers have triggered a factory reset that appears to erase all data on the device. This happened to me, erased my music collection. So wondering:is it ok to directly connect wd mybooklive to sonos bridge (yes i know old device etc.). Tried this and sonos seems to find it. But any security implications re sonos and my PC etc? can I use USB with BT router instead and again is this secure?Thank you anyone?
