I have a new model LG OLED65, new arc and sub gen 3. I’m seeing Atmos in the Sonos app but hear no evidence that any of the directional speakers are functioning at all. I’ve tested with several Atmos intense content that’s supposed to be mind blowing. Things like the opening car chase scene in 6 Underground and Squid Game. Also some content from Plex and Prime. But still no indication of any directional sound. Would love to know if there’s something I’m missing.

What is the screen saver for Beam gen 2 as I have the beam as screen saver instead of the normal black screen with white wriggly lines that I had for the Beam gen 1 and ARC on my tv?
I have two play 1s linked to a Beam. This is setup as a surround system. Both play 1s can be connected to Ethernet if needed. The Beam is connected to the TV by the HDMI to Optical cable/adapter.what I have been finding is the one of the play 1s the “right” one keeps clipping out when watching TV or listening to music. This happens if on WiFi or on Ethernet. I’m starting to think the play 1 is faulty or failing. I have done a diagnostic report but not sure how to submit it to Sonos as the online chat is not available number is 1438370456Can anyone offer advice?
I see a few questions about whether the sonos outdoor speaker is better than the Sonance Mariner series. I had the same questions as the speakers look pretty much identical. I called Sonance technical support about this. I was told the sonos product is a “lower end” product. The woofer, for example, uses lower quality items than the Sonance equivalent (I can’t remember exactly what was said, but the construction of the woofer uses a lower quality material, among other technical differences). I ended up going with the mariner 86 as it was pretty close to the same money for a much higher end speaker (albeit a bit bigger).
I can't to use my 2 new Symfonisk bookshelf speakers, because I can't to make a Sonos account. The app says that they sent the verification e-mail but I didn't get it. I checked my spam folder too and I tried it thousand times but it doesn't work unfortunately. Help me please!
Sonos One + Android phone with large flac libary on phone. I have a lot of playlists in my Android music player (Black Player EX)How do I play these playlists in the Sonos app? I SEE all my music, and I see my playlists in the Sonos Playlist area, but the playlists show no tracks, and when I try to play them I get an error: “Unable to add songs to the Queue” My music library is on an SD card, not the phone’s native storage. Right now, on Sonos I am confined to playing albums and tracks. That works fine, but I NEED MY PLAYLISTS TO ALSO WORK. I have no other source of music. Please tell me how to solve this!
I have the Arc that connected to my old regular LED.It's great, but I brought it for better sound..now what happens when I buy a new TV, like LG C1 And the TV has dolby atmos! Now, I have dolby atmos in my new TV and my Arc soundbar. I'm sorry but I don't get it, if the Arc is connected to the TV, then the TV sound is off.. of it's off I don't need a TV with dolby atmos? Or I can use the all system to works as ONE (the TV with the Arc) ? Thanks in advance
Hi Sonos friends. I am considering connecting a Sonos connect gen2 or port to my Control4 ea-3 to stream music from my Control4 tidal to my Sonos arc. this way I add an extra room to my Control4 ecosystem. Has anyone seen this done before and am I right in assuming that I can stream (no hard connection ) from the connect or port to the arc?
Hi, Please let us add several group sound settings to be able to save and quickly access. Either when changing the place to sit or the type of source used (TV, Music, Podcasts...) I always have to adjust the sound loudness settings manually over and over again. Additionally if you can not only save the sound loudness setting but also the Equalizer setting for it as well. It would be great if this feature could be added. Best regards,Henrik
I have a Marantz 1080P projector with HDMI connections. In order to use the ARC speaker which I bought to provide the sound for my projector, I had to buy a Fury HD Arcana that allows the Marantz HDMI cable to connect to the Fury HDMI-output and then the HDMI cable from the ARC goes to the E-arc output of the Fury. Then if I plug in my Apple TV HDMI cable directly into the Fury HDMI input, I can see the screen. However, when I try to use airplay in Apple TV to mirror my computer onto the projector screen, I have a picture but no sound. How can I get the sound to play from my computer on Sonos. I do have a Sonos connect that I am not using and I am wondering if that could be used in some way to bridge the sound from the computer to the Sonos app. Also, when I try to connect an HDMI cable from the Fury-input to the 5 port HDR switcher output and then connect the Apple TV’s HDMI cable to the HDR switcher it doesn’t see the Apple TV.
I am experiencing problems with my Sonos Roam in relation to wifi connectivity. The speaker will only work on wifi when virtually on top of another Sonos speaker or with feet of the wifi router (therefore unable to Roam!). The range, if I can call it that, is non existent. If I switch to Bluetooth but then try to group the speakers, it becomes intermittent or simply stops playing. This is driving me mad and as a Sonos fan, I’m desperately disappointed in it.How can I resolve this issue?
Hi everyone,I am unsure when did this happen but my Sonos Amp can decode LPCM multichannel. I realised this with my PS5 that was set up in LPCM and I was still getting Dolby Digital 5.1.To make sure I tried my Nintendo Switch and yes I now have surrounds working as surrounds, on the Sonos app it says Dolby Digital 5.1. My Sony X950h is set to audio pass through.Could any of the Sonos team member explains this? Thank you!
Hi guys, new on here so excuse my lack of knowledge about speakers. I'm building a house and wanted some advice on speaker placement. I will mainly be using them for watching TV and listening to music. I was going to use the sonos arc, sub and 2 ceiling speakers for rears. I'm open to using wall mounted if that's a better option sound wise. I have included a picture of the room layout (circled) so all suggestions welcome, thanks.
Hiis play 5suitable for a very small room (about 6 sqm) and for very quiet late night listening?I.e. can sonos five be played in very low volume, and stil provide extremely good sound and bass? Thanks :)
Hi All,I have been debating getting a Sonos One speaker (still undecided on the One vs One SL but leaning towards the One SL refurb) and wanted to check in with folks on how well your Sonos One works with AirPlay 2. Does your Sonos One work well all the time, sometimes, or often has issues with AirPlay 2?This would be taking into account two things:General AirPlay 2 performance (smooth playback, music quality, hiccups, delays etc.) Multi speaker performance (either through Sonos speaker grouping, or AirPlay 2 speaker grouping)Would really appreciate hearing any feedback from the community :)
We have a Sonos Arc, Sub and 2 Sonos One rear speakers and they sound amazing. But after adding a 2nd sub and calibrating Truplay the sound is not good at all.Voices are like they come from a small speaker in the TV, surround sound is noticably less and overall it does not sound like an improvment at all.I did Truplay calibration multiple times but that does not help. For now i removed the 2nd sub, recalibrated and now the sound is great again.Thinking of returning the 2nd sub…..
Hi everyone I am about to finish setting up my home theater room and I’m only missing the placement of my One SLs, I bought two wall mounts for them and I was wondering which space would be the most fitting for them, I have a very tiny room, about 110 sq ft, ceiling is about 10-11 feet high. (Surrounds for a Sonos Beam Gen 2)
Do the beam (gen 2 ) work with sub gen 2?
I can connect my Play 5 with ethernet. If I then remove the cable it connects to wireless. however if I power cycle the play 5 it won’t connect to wireless. Appreciate any assistance.
My current layout is I have a Sonos Amp with 4 in wall speakers 1 left front, 1 left rear, 1 right front, 1 right rear. The left front and rear are on the left channel and the right front and rear are on the right channel. The amp is connected to my TV via HDMI ARC and the tv controls the volume of the Amp. My question is if I purchase a Sonos Beam Gen 2, is it possible to connect the Beam to the Amp to “act” as a center channel? The tv currently controls the volume on the Amp, I would like the Amp and Beam to both work with the volume control of the tv. Is this possible? If so how would I connect this all together? My TV does not have two HDMI ARC outputs it also has an optical out but I do not believe this works if the output is already designated to the HDMI ARC. I don’t need the Amp to power the Beam, I would just like it to act as a center channel.
Hello fellow SONOS users,I recently got my Beam GEN2 (upgraded from GEN1). A curious thing i noticed by accident was the left side of my Beam GEN2 is slightly warm (despite not being in use). I am wondering if anyone else noticed this with their new Beam? Contrast this with in use conditions where the ambient temperature would rise and I did notice with my previous GEN1 (not burning hot but warm for sure). I’m trying to figure out if this is a nuance specific to GEN2 or not. Appreciate users feedback.Thank you.
I have a tv mounted outside w/ two outdoor sonos/sonace speakers mounted on either side. I ran two speaker wires & two Cat6 wires in buried pipe from my basement 100 feet to my garage & then out to the tv/speakers. My modem & Amp are located in my basement.tv connected via one of the Cat6 cables to my modem speakers connected to new Sonos Amp in my basement one Cat6 cable currently not being usedI purposely did not run an HDMI cord from the basement to the tv as I was told it was too long of a run. Is there anyway to connect the amp (& ultimately speakers) to the tv using the one existing Cat6 cable? My garage is not insulated so I do not want to keep my amp in there - winter in Minnesota would kill it - not worried about the tv. The amp is connected to my system currently & the speakers work great for music, etc., just not sure how to get tv audio through outdoor speakers at such a distance. I’ve read suggestions about adding an beam to the TV or another speaker,
The latest Synology DSM updates disables NTLMv1 because it is not secure! Is it possible to get Sonos S1 to use NTLMv2 for better security?Or some other server protocol?Thx, Dave
I’ve used the guide to setup my home theatre , however, I’ve noticed that surround sound only works when are streaming music but not when are watching movie. Has anyone experienced this? Would you like to hear how you resolved it, please
