Hello fellow SONOS users,

I recently got my Beam GEN2 (upgraded from GEN1).  A curious thing i noticed by accident was the left side of my Beam GEN2 is slightly warm (despite not being in use). I am wondering if anyone else noticed this with their new Beam?  Contrast this with in use conditions where the ambient temperature would rise and I did notice with my previous GEN1 (not burning hot but warm for sure).  I’m trying to figure out if this is a nuance specific to GEN2 or not.

Appreciate users feedback.

Thank you.

I would guess the left side of the Beam is warmer because that is where the main processor is located. The Beam (Gen 2) is supposed to have a 40% faster processor. And since the Beam is never really turned off completely (unless you unplug it) it will continue to stay warm even in standby mode.
