I changed PCs and now cannot connect Sonos to my music library. I get the following error msg:Unexpected error occurred while importing playlists.Unexpected error occurred while importing playlists.Only one album, one track appears in the Sonos Controller Music Library area.I have re-mapped to the music files, and updated the music library numerous times.I have also checked standard ports and firewall rules, and have deleted/re-installed Sonos numerous times with and without Nortons. Here is my diagnostics confirmation #:1520953407 Thoughts?
A. More Sonos overlap of music playing, ability to like, heart, thumbs up, etc. B. Likes, playlists and other show up from YouTube, spotify, audible, Amazon music, pandora, etc. In a current/main feed, last payed music, and visual previous search C. Integrations from apps likes and playlists from other apps visible. Using better APIs with other companies apps. D. Songs played by other devices not using my account to show up or allowed to be saved to my playlists. These suggestions would assist in Sonos creating better playlists via algorithms for what we are generally listening to across all your accounts.
I have a Sonos Arc hooked up to a Sony A80J via eARC. Volume control using the TV remote works fine while watching TV. However, it doesn’t work while streaming music on the Arc; I have to open the app to manage volume. I tried the Remote Control setup in the app but it doesn’t detect the TV remote. Any suggestions on what I need to do to fix this?
Hello,I would like to change my 2 One SL, acting as satellites with Playbase and Sub setup, to 2 Roams. Will they act surround speakers? Can I just swap them and expect everything to work properly?
I just hooked up a new Beam Gen 2 to my LG TV via HDMI ARC and when the TV turns on it takes about 5 seconds for sound to start playing out of the Beam. I’ve tried unplugging and rebooting everything that is connected (cable box, fire stick, beam, Tv) and changing HDMI cord with no success. Sonos support also couldn’t seem to fix it. Is this normal? Does anyone have a fix for this?
I have not received my replacement Sonos speaker and Sonos will take no responsibility as they say it was dispatched by them via UPS. It was scheduled for delivery on 30th September according to the tracking but UPS can’t tell me where it is. I have 11 products from Sonos but I cannot run the risk of purchasing anymore because Sonos take the money upfront and if the product doesn’t arrive, the customer has to stand the loss. Shame on Patrick Spencer, CEO for allowing this malpractice.
Probably a dumb/easy question but I couldn’t find the answer anywhere. Can I use any USB-C cable to charge the Roam? The one provided with it doesn’t quite fit with the silicone case I bought due to the way it’s angled.
I wish Sonos would have the sub adjustments on the same screen as the EQ. It would make fine tuning the sound so much easier, especially when A/B testing more/less bass on eq versus more/less bass on sub setting. It would also be great to have the option to save different eq and sub presets for different kinds of music (or tv). Anyone agree?
Any plans of allowing a sonos speaker to be configured as a dedicated atmos height speaker?
Whelp. The one saving grace was a way to open Pandora, then feed that to Sonos so you could still use the “I’m tired of this track” function. No mas. And I’ll tell you why that stinks: When you hear a song played so much that feature allows Pandora to keep the genome data on you accurate while not repeating songs often. But now you must either chose a thumbs down to the track (which will alter your music preferences), or you can forward past that which gets annoying after a while. Not too sure who decided to take their ball and go home, but Pandora and Sonos definitely seem to playing on other courts and that’s unfortunate. Also a primo reason to go with a speaker system that doesn’t carry the various burdens Sonos does.Oh well. Unfortunate, really. But I guess we evolve.
Audacy has a number of “exclusive” stations that appear to be curated streams (for example, Americana, by the DJ Lin Brehmer at wXRT in Chicago). I can access that exclusive station directly from the Audacy website and from the wXRT website -- but I cannot find it on my Sonos. All I see on Sonos are the actual radio stations (including wXRT). QUESTION: how do I access an audacy exclusive station on my Sonos system?thanks
hi there. For my husband’s 50th I want to buy him a turntable to connect to our current Sonos system. I don’t want to spend so much money so thinking of buying a non-Sonos turntable. But when I’ve read the Sonos blogs, if we have a turntable then it says we need a Play5 Speaker - does anyone know if this is correct? We only have a Play 3 speaker, a Beam, 3 Play 1’s and a Roam.
Hello, as I just received my SONOS ROAM I have tried many times today to get it connected in Bluetooth by following the procedure as described in that link.https://support.sonos.com/s/article/4989?language=frSo I kept pressing the button at the back but the blue light never went on and as a consequence the product had been left undiscovered for my mobile phone. Is there anyone who encountered the same issue & what should I do to get it solve. Thanks for your help
Hello everyone,Two-part question. I previously posted that I have a dated TV (Sharp) that while equipped with ARC, does not deliver DD5.1 to my Beam (neither first or second Gen). I am interesting in replacing the TV, but have noticed some issues cropping up with LG to ARC. My questions are:Is there a comprehensive list of SONOS compatible eARC TVs? The closest I came to was off RTINGS.com, but that is not necessarily geared to SONOS compatible products. Save for going to a big box store and trying to fiddle with things, there has to be a more efficient way to achieve a truly clean solution is the ARC a good surrogate measure for the BEAM Gen2? I am asking the question in the context of ATMO so basically, if the TV works with ARC, does it stand to reason it will do similarly with BEAM Gen2?Many thanks for all opinions.Thank you.
I’m having an issue which with the Sonos controller not reading my audio files from my NAS drives; I have had no issue with this until the most recent update version 13.2. Looking on this forum and the wider internet there is clearly been a number of instances of this happening in the past.So after painstakingly going through as many forum responses as I can I’ve tried the following to no avail:Removed said folder from Sonos app and tried re-mapping to the library (this is where I’m now stuck as the Sonos App will not allow the folder to be added due to Access to shared folder is denied message)Restarted everything - Laptop, Router, NAS multiple times.Turned off firewalls on all devices still no change.Changed permissions of various folders to allow full access from anywhere, again no change.Opened a number of Ports on my PC/Router which where suggested by the Sonos help FAQ’s, no change.Ensured my computer had the correct NODE type set up (it does).Checked the date and time zone both
Has, anyone tried streaming Dolby Atmos music in one room with apple tv then streaming in simultaneously with another sonos dolby atmos set up?planning to buy beam gen 2, but dunno if i need to buy another apple tv 4k. thanks!
Hi, I am moving house and looking to upgrade my Sonos system. I am thinking of an Arc + Sub + 2 x Play1 to compliment my existing 2 x Play 1’s. The system is to be largely for music but also for movies. I am thinking of having a surround set up in the sofa area with 2 of the 1’s on stands adjacent to the sofa with two further 1’s in the kitchen and dining areas. One concern with the Arc is the shape of the ceiling and that the TV and Arc will be closer to one side wall than the other. Is this an issue or does the addition of the sub and surround 1’s negate any potential problems? Happy for people to suggest alternate options but I am quite keen on this set up as get 30% off from upgrading my old Play 5 which saves a whopping £600 on the set!!
I have a mix of new and old devices currently all running on single S1 system. Now I find that if I want to add a new device such as the FIVE I can’t.I have a Play:5 (Gen 1) that lowers the volume without me doing it. Randomly does this and I can not solve the issue. So I thought just buy a new FIVE to replace it but if I stay on S1 I will be prevented from adding the new FIVE to my system. But if I change to S2 so I can add the FIVE then 9 of my original devices will stop working on the same system which basically kills my entire system. (I first got SONOS with the CR100 controller, that is how old it is. They killed those off ages ago.)So it seems this policy PROHIBITS me adding or replacing devices to my system and effectively STOPS me buying anymore of their products. What a great business model, piss off your early adopters.
I have a superb LG CX 65inches TV that works with my Sonos beam. I would like to have better sounds but without throwing infinite amount of money. Is adding rear play 1 to my Beam would be overall better sounds investment than switching to Sonos ARC? Going the play 1 route would be also cheaper.Atmos content for me seems to be poor yet so it wouldn't be a good reason for me now. What do you think guys?
Hi! I have a problem, that I try to solve for some time, try to search for information on the Internet but can not ... I have a projector that I want to install in the bedroom, and wifi speakers that are already installed in the room, the speakers have no additional connection in the device itself. I want the projector (or rather the streamer connected to the projector) to transmit the sound to the wifi speakers. Can't find any device that would give me such an answer. The streamer itself can only broadcast on Bluetooth. And I only find devices that broadcast on Bluetooth, and the speakers do not support it as I said. Maybe an app that will actually be installed on the streamer? Something else? Hey thanks! The speakers is from Sonos company, only wifi available...the streamer is mi box s, there's HDMI and aux available, and the projector is a cheap one, Blitzwolf bw-vp6.I need product that connect through aux and transmitted to wifi. Some adapter... i think that it needs to connect to
Hi, just wanting to check as I’m considering a Beam which needs S2 . All my components are on the S1 app at present.I have only got a bridge that’s not compatible with S2 - The rest (connect,play5 2nd gen and play 1) are.The bridge is used solely to get the play 5 working in a remote room.I think I’m right in saying I could have the bridge on S1, and the rest on S2?My concern is that the Sonos mesh between the bridge and any other components won’t be affected by being on different apps? i.e. the play5 will still work by being close to the Bridge (which is hard wired via cat cabling to the router)Or should I change to a boost??ThanksJohn
Fixed. Turned router off & on
Hello. I bought my Sonos system in 2015, and in 2018 they went with our household belongings into storage. I have resurrected them and have gathered that I had to reset it. Then it asked if I wanted to update to S2, which I did, but my play one wasn't compatible so I reset it again. Then I didn’t get Spotify on it, so reset it again. But this time I get the message at the top of the app “not connected to the internet” when it is. I turned the router off and on. Is it possible I have reset it too many times. And why could I not see the “add services” button so I could get iHeart and Spotify onto it when I did have it connected. It’s all very frustrating
