I currently bought a home theater system separately (waiting on the arc to get here still) but the rear speaker are too far (My house has an open two story living/dining/kitchen space) so added two picture frames in the middle of the two rooms to, what I hoped would, fill the space. Now I am reading Sonos wouldn’t allow more the two Sonos Ones that come with the home theater system. Is this true or could I add the Sonos Ikea frames as part of my surround sound system as I hoped?  It would be a bummer if I couldn’t. I loved how seemless Sonos has been but this is a major flaw for me and the size of space I am trying to fill.

Hi,so I’m kind of new in the Sonos environment. I already own a Sonos Symfoniks from IKEA.… now I wanna get a little more serious. I would like to integrate all of my media together.i got a turntable with rca connectors2 very nice Denon analog speakersan Lg Oled smart tv with HDMI arc or optical audio out. I think I can also stream the audio out via wifi from the tv.And will be streaming music from IOS mobile device.how do I link all of this together? Would a Sonos Connect be enough or I got to go with Sonos amp… I suppose I would need a Sonos beam as well for the tv…I know it’s a lot of infos but any advice is welcome. thanksmarc

Hi, if i may ask how does sonos sound quality and clarity compare with bose as i have been so used to bose over the years as had their products so really have no experinece with sonos?Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated

Hi,I was planning on buying an Arc to listen to music in my living room and to watch TV (65”). In other rooms that communicate with the living I could place other sonos speakers to play the same music.The only thing is that I realize I have no side walls in the living that the arc can use. On the left, the wall must be 8m away, on the other side 5m but the return path will be blocked. I suppose I would need front side speakers, but that is not supported  ifaik. Rear speakers will probably help a bit but not a lot I suppose.I could opt for a standard home theatre setup from another brand with separate speakers and connect a port to listen to music. I am however afraid that this home theatre will cause latency due to processing when the same audio is played in the kitchen or office space. I could open the arc, disconnect the side speakers and connect separate ones…not sure if it has been done before and it is a bit scary...Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks

hi, does anybody connect Sonos AMP + Bowers & Wilkins 705 Signature how about the sound?? I have Onkyo A-933 amp and with combination of B&W705. Now considering to change A-933 to AMP . Still A-933 is working well, I wonder if I should buy Sonos Port or Amp. I have an interesting to connect TV out and B&W for watching movie or else. So, I am thinking Amp is better than Port, but I wonder if the sound quality of combination of B&W and AMP.  Of course, sound quality is subjective matter,,,but I would like to know if someone had this experience.

Hi all , finally got my beam gen 2 and 2 One SL surround speakers set up today , can I just ask , in the app if I turn off the surrounds they flash green , is it better when muting surrounds to toggle them off so they flash green or keep them toggled on but turn the surround volume to zero , thanks 

Hi all , I have Beam gen 2 2x One SL surround speakers Everything is connected and works as it should , all LEDs on top are white , but if I toggle off the surrounds they flash green !! If I toggle them back on they go solid white as before . According to this page https://support.sonos.com/s/article/226?language=en_USWhen they flash green they're ready to be set up ?? But if I toggle them back on in the app they work as before ! I can get my head around them flashing green which means they need setting up when they work , they are in the app in the list of devices  

Within the app there is no way that you can adjust volume from beam to rear speakers is there an easy way. Or should Sonos have a look at the app and include it. The current app is pretty basic. It doesn’t have much control Without have to change all your settings.

Moved into new house with pre existing speakers. They were already setup prior to moving in and were connected to the previous internet system which got switched out. How do I set them up now that I have a new network. 

I’m looking into a Blu-ray player to play Truehd Dolby via my Sony tv to Sonos arc.  I have the Sonos arc already connected to an EARC HDMI port. Question is for TrueHD do I need a 2nd EARC to connect the Blu-ray player to, I don’t want to downscale at all and play lossless atmos.   I hear that for trueHD LOSSLESS you need EARC as more data is passing so surely  I need EARC for Blu-ray to send the audio through to the TV and another to carry the audio to the Sonos Arc?Doddsy. 

So just set up new Beam Gen 2. Connected to Panasonic TV via ARC HDMI. Please tell me there's a way to switch back to TV speakers ! I don't need to use the Beam all the time as the TV speakers are very good. Can't find a way on the app, or with the hardware. Super frustrating. Am hoping I'm just being an idiot.

How do I play other apps on my iPhone through my Sonos sound bar?

Hi there. I’m trying to have a mix of wired and wireless setup. Wondering if this setup is recommended? Or are there better ways?1. AMP > Ethernet port 1 > Arc > HDMI > TVAMP > Ethernet port 2 > Router Sub (wireless)AMP > two Sonos in-ceiling speakers 

Hello I have a sonos bar which has worked fine until optical sound broker. I have purchased a analogue to digital converter plugged it into my jack output on my tv bust sound does not workis there a better option or will this just not work

I have a question about the sons arc in combination with the five I miss a stereo feeling with the arc is it possible to use the sonos five as a stereo in combination with the arc.

I have an older Samsung TV 55” that has an HDMI-ARC port, no eARC.  I plug the Sonos-Arc into this port and when I go to the app and use set-up it’s telling me that there is an error.  Currently have the speaker set up with the Digital Audio Adapter into the TV and it is working fine.  I really wanted to use the HDMI-ARC port of the TV though.  

Hi I wish to purchase two surround One speakers. However one will be in advance of the other.  I intend to buy a One and a One SL.  Can I mix then with the Arc & can I use one to any effect with the Arc before I get the second one? Thanks in advance - Mike

For our basement TV room, which is quite long but narrow (see pictures), I intend to use a Beam 2 sound bar resting in front of the TV.  The smain viewing sofa is against the wall facing the TV, about 10 feet away.I am considering whether to supplement the bar with a pair of One SL speakers, which would rest on either side of the television.  But there wouldn’t be much separation between the Beam and the SL’s -- would that be a waste of time, or would the SL’s meaningfully enhance the stereo and overall quality of sound?  One option is to bore some holes in the dividers and place the speakers on the adjacent sections of the bookcase, providing more spatial separation for the three components.  Would this make a meaningful improvement?I don’t want to place the speakers back against the wall with the sofa -- no outlets there and too much clutter. Thanks for any guidance!Albert

Hi, I'm wondering does anyone have a sonos five s24 they could possibly take a voltage reading for me? or even circuit info which I have found to be a closely guarded secret!I need to know the voltage across the 3x 35v caps in the secondary, that's it.Thanks in advance!

Our main viewing space has an Arc sound bar, Sonos Sub, and two One SLs as rear channels.I also have an extra pair of Sony SS-F6000 floorstanding 4-way speakers, and a SVS SB-2000 Pro 550 Watt subwoofer.Will a Sonos Amp allow me to sensibly integrate those items into the existing setup?Thanks for any advice! I have my Beam Gen 2 connected via ARC HDMI.  The TV remote is set up and controls the Beam but it does not control the other 3 speakers that are in the group. Is there a fix for this? 

Planning an Arc and a Sub for a living room. It’s new construction, so I have the option to run Cat 6 lines for each of them, going through my home LAN’s switch. Alternatively, I could have just the Arc wired, and leave the Sub to communicate over a dedicated Sonos wireless network.This document doesn’t even mention the wired LAN option, so hard to find good information about it:https://support.sonos.com/s/article/3235?language=en_US(What it calls “wired” is actually having a single Sonos device act as a wireless router.)My questions:Which approach would you prefer, if both are possible? With the Arc sitting on a stone mantel and the Sub under some cabinet shelves ~10 feet away, is there any risk that Sonos’s wireless will perform worse than wired ethernet? Or is there any risk that other LAN traffic will interfere with audio?All things being equal, I suppose not having a cable from the Sub plugged in to the wall is slightly easier, but it’s not hard to do if it will help...
