Anyone have this set-up and can feedback Dolby Atmos experience with the Beam 2. I currently have the original Beam and looking to upgrade. 

I have an ARC with 2 x ONE SL surrounds. I don’t always want the surrounds on (quiet hours at night). What’s the easiest / best way to turn them on and off when desired?

Hi all , I know Sonos products are designed to be kept on but I'd like to know is it ok to unplug the beam gen 2 every night and plug it back in every morning ? Thanks

Ma contrainte, je ne souhaite pas avoir de fils entre la beam et mon vidéoprojecteur.Est il possible de diffuser le flux audio sur la beam en passant par un chromecast, firestick ou apple tv branché sur mon vidéoprojecteur ? Ou autres solutions ?Merci

missing level indicatorI have a Sonos Arc in my Living Room and in the Mac controller the volume indicator is missing only when it is grouped with my Roam not my Sonos One (Master Bedroom). iPhone app works normally.All software is up-to-date. I cannot change the volume or mute the Arc/Living Room speaker. anyone seen this before or have a solution? Thanks

Bit late in the day, but we are looking at buying a refurbished Sonos Beam as a gift. My wife isnt to keen on buying second hand, but with the Black Friday discount it looks a good deal to me. What sort of visual condition are Sonos Refurbs, she would want it it more or less mint condition, I know they can be returned if your not happy, but to avoid all that faff i would appreciate it if anyone has any views or actually bought a refurbished Beam from Sonos Thanks

I had the latest Sonos app running fine on a Mac with Big Sur. I upgraded to Monterey (12.0.1) and there are permission issues that cause mp3 files not to be found by the indexer. On initially installing the app, I granted it access as requested. Afterwards I found that the permissions on individual mp3 files now had permissions including “SONOSDMS1. Custom” When I ad new mp3’s to my music folder, Sonos won’t index them.If I go into Terminal, cd to the top music folder, and do  sudo chmod -R ugo+rwx *and then try indexing again, the files are found. I’d like to do something a bit more specific than granting world rwx access. Does anyone know what the permission is that SONOSDMS1 wants to see on files? Again, this is something new after installing Sonos on Monterey, didn’t happen on Big Sur and earlier OSX releases.

Hi Together, Before posting this question i seaarched the forum but did not find the correct answer, so might be a repost but please go through it and suggest me. I bought a Sonos Playbase, currently i have a Benq projector which is connected to Apple 4K TV (box), so not using any TV. When i tried to setup the Playbase, i am not able to do it, because, as i understood, i should also connect the Optical cable to some TV, otherwise i can not setup the Playbase.As i dont have the TV, i am not ablr to do it at the moment. If i buy a Coaxial to Optical switch/convertor, is it possible to setup my playbase without having a TV?.

I have 3 roams 2 i use or atleast try to pair and play music constantly un pairs the the 2 i use and have to go back in and pair PIA also cannot use w tv unless you have beam  b4 i make that investment would like to know best possible set up so i can either play music or watch tv  without constantly having to pair and switch

Hello everyone is there a way to play music with dolby digital plus playback?I play music via youtube app on Sony tv with the arc and I can multicast it to another room with dolby digital plus playback. Is there another way of doing this without me having to turn the tv youtube app on?Theres a very big difference in sound airplay vs dolby digital plus. Thanks

Can you play WAV files from a WD My Cloud connection?  Also does it need to be a NAS or can it just be a regular My Cloud?

In my iOS app in settings/system it correctly shows my Boost. However when I go online and look at my account it shows my old bridge not my Boost. How do I correct this?

I’m trying to figure out how to configure a Sonos system in my dads pole barn.  He is older and the current denon Avr receiver just confuses him too much.  He has 4 speakers inside the pole barn and 2 speakers outside.  He can currently choose whether or not to have the outside speakers on or not (multi zone).  What would be the best setup to get him going on Sonos?

Does anyone know of any way to lengthen the allowed time limit to make individual room volume adjustments???  System gives you approx 3 seconds to make adjustment and so you have to keep going back and forth to consider changing different room settings. Thanks! 

Apple Music from within the Sonos app has no crackle/clip, it only occurs when using audio from video source. I'm using a matrix to connect to a projector, with the Sonos-provided optical adapter for the signal to the Arc, HDMI cable is 4K. I’m still within the return window on the Sonos products, so if in all these posts and years NO ONE has found a definitive solution to this highly common problem, they are sadly going back. Great sound for music, but the point was to be the theater sound system.

This is still a problem. Can Samsung or Sonos do something?

Hello everyone, I write from Italy and help me through the Google translator (sorry for the mistakes).Today I received the SONOS ARC soundbar, because I have received great feedback from many other customers.The problem is that I can't hear the surround effect (for example behind the head or overhead for the Atmos effect ...).Unfortunately I have no iOS systems and therefore cannot use Trueplay ...I hear the soundbar good and powerful, but only with front effects!The TV is obviously set to Dolby Atmos ...Can any expert user help me please?Thank you very much...Greetings from Rome :-)

Hi, just wondering if there is a way of getting invited to test beta software. I have been a member of the beta program for a couple of years and never had an invite to test any software.. I have an ARC, Beam, sub and ones. All my profile is filled in but still never get anything. Anyone have an idea or who to contact?

Hi brains trustHere is my conundrum. I will be getting a base level TV for the spare room and wanted to pump up the horrible tv speakers slightly with a beam. In the main TV room I have a 5.1 playbar setup. So my question is whether I should just put the beam in the spare room or move the playbar into the spare room and have the beam 5.1 setup in the main room. Going to need to stuff around with wall mounting etc so need to make the right call early. Anyone have experience with both and can help out?Thanks in advance.

 HiI have the opportunity to buy this Sonos set up consisting of 1 x Sonos Playbar, 1 x subwoofer, 4 x speakers Gen 2, 4 x connect amps ZP120 Gen 2. Plus cables and wall brackets- All for £2000.However I'm not sure why I would need the 4 x amps as I intend to use the whole system in my living room for listening to music and watching TV. Could anyone give me their thoughts on what these are used for?Also is £2000 a fair price?Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks 

Hi all , beam gen 2 , as it's connected via hdmi is it possible to listen to TV via the TV speakers ? 

So on all our devices we see in the Sonos S2 App we see all the speakers but on the iPad (Air 2 / 14.8.1) it cannot see some speakers (1x One, 1x Beam, 1x Playbar + 2x One) - any suggestions?  Yes I deleted the app & re-installed it. Thanks!

I am mounting a frame/art tv above the mantle and I don’t want to look at a speaker beneath it, I’d like to have two matching sonos speakers on the right and left.  I already have one beam, i love the shape of it.  Ideally I’d like to know if it’s possible to connect two sound Beam bars to one television to create right and left channels.  If not, can two beam speakers connect to make *balanced* sound on the right and left of the tv, connected with a split optical cable (or other solution?). I know I can *add* Sonos speakers to the tv if one is hardwired, but I want them both to be connected to the tv automatically.  I have read mixed reviews on connecting the speakers to the tv with HDMI cable. Either way if the two are hardwired to the tv, a splitter would be needed (I assume?)I don’t want a middle channel/speaker as I don’t have anywhere to put it.  An amp or woofer would be fine if that’s absolutely necessary.Thanks for your help and ideas!
