HOW DO I GET THE SONOS CONTROL PANEL BACK ON MY IMAC, I HAD TO DELETE TO DO A LARGE UPDATE  

I know that this question has already been answered but I have found a simpler and cheaper way for anyone still struggling with this issue.  I brought an audio extractor off  Amazon: 4K Audio Extractor HDMI by OREITo make this all work, plug your source into the input and projector into the output, then plug the sound bar into the optical port. Make sure that in the projector settings the audio out device is set to AV receiver and the go to the sonos app and go though the “tv setup” after this you should be all good. At time of this the audio extractor is only £44 which is cheap compared to others on the market. I hope this helps :) Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct. Hi,I just bought a SONOS Beam and I was very surprised to find out that there is no indication/notification/setting to see if/when the soundbar enters in standby.Everyone says the same old story: SONOS has a special standby mode when not used.That’s all! I am sorry, but i am not buying it! I will buy a multimeter socket and test it myself to see the power consumptions between day and night.

I’m using a Mac G5 running OS 10.5.8 as a server to access the majority of my music library files via a network connection to my (newer) iMac running OS Catalina 10.15.7.I have no issues accessing the music library from the G5 on the iMac, but the Sonos Controller or iPhone app cannot access the G5 library...I’ve confirmed sharing settings and believe them to be correct.Is the Mac G5 (OS 10.5.8) too many generations removed and incompatible with current Sonos Controller software of iPhone app?

as per this thread:my roam turns itself on even though I followed the instructions and a) held the power button for 7-10 seconds until it made the tone and powered down and b) enabled battery saver in the app.My roam was “off” as per instructions (tone and battery saver) and sitting on a charging pad and when I returned home from work it is there with all it’s lights on.Why won’t it stay off?

Hi folks.  I have an arc, sub and 2 ones.  If I purchase a second hand play5 for example that's on gen1, can I connect it to the arc and use it to play music as a group in another room?

I have a Sonos 1 that is on my network with an IP. Additionally, I’m able to ping the Sonos device using the command prompt.However, the only way I can connect to this speaker to play sound is via Bluetooth from my Windows PC. How can I use my network connection to the device to play sound? Basically use it as a network-controlled speaker.

I am looking for a little help on how I would go about setting up a system before I pull the trigger and buy a bunch of stuff. I currently have and use a Symfonisk Lamp with my Apple TV which also has 2 HomePod Minis paired in stereo. I typically use this setup for everything except audio with my PS4 and standard cable box as my TV doesn’t have ARC capabilities.I recently ordered a new TV (Samsung Neo 8K) and am thinking of picking up a set with the Beam and two One SL (possibly a sub, although I live in a townhouse so I’m worried the bass would annoy people). I also have a nice Philips hue setup with Sync Box.It looks like I can run the Beam with eArc, but am curious how I’d connect everything to get ALL sound played through the Sonos setup.  Currently, the Philips sync box acts as a “hub” as I connect everything there and have one HDMI connection to the TV.  Would I be running that connection to a non eARC input on my TV and then use the eARC connection TO the Beam? Also, I use Siri

Hello all, I have a Sonos Beam Gen2 and two Sonos One SLs for my TV in the living room. I also have a big CD collection from long ago with some CDs never made it on streaming services. What CD Player can I buy to connect to my sound setup in the living room? Is only way to setup with AirPlay2 and if so, what CD Players come with Airplay2? Thanks!

Why is the NFC not utilized more than on "setup" on the Sonos Roam? I see that the device supposedly uses NFC for set-up, although I don't remember having to turn my device on or hold it nearby my phone for set-up. Anyway, even if it uses it for that, why not also use the NFC capability to make the Roam even more convenient a device post-setup?I have this pair of Cowin E7 Bluetooth Headphones that have NFC in them and when both my phone has Bluetooth and NFC turned on and I tap my phone to the headphones, they automatically connect to each other. It would be really neat if this also worked with the Sonos Roam, since it seems like the technology is in there to be able to do that and it isn't even necessary for what it says it is being used for. Perhaps this could be a software fix? Just update the NFC transmitter, once it's done with whatever it needs during setup, to communicate that it wants to connect via Bluetooth to the device that is next to it? I have 22 Sonos Ones and am considering a Sonos Ray or Beam soundbar.  Can the TV sound playing through one of these devices be sent out to the other speakers around the house?

Hey,I’ve a newborn son that really loves sleeping on me so I’ve to adjust my Sonos sound a lot due to inconsistent volume even with night mode on.I’ve noticed that when adjusting the sound for my Sonos playbase through the Sonos app it also adjust my iPhone volume, going from no sound to actually have a lot of sound. So when I start looking through other apps now they start blasting sound almost waking my son up.  Has anyone else noticed this as well or maybe there is a setting that I can tweak so it doesn’t adjust both my iPhone and my Sonos? content on the tv is coming through Apple TV apps, if that helps. Adding video of the problem.https://youtube.com/shorts/LkXYmr4g9Cw?feature=share

I have an Arc & Sub gen 3. I have 2 one SL’s that are used for surround sound. Would adding a beam to a different part of house generate the same sound as that the Arc provides? Looking to amplify sound (not surround sound) towards rear of viewing area. 

A connection to Amazon Music is lost.There is no problem with my Wifi and the app and speakers are up to date. All other services seem to work fine and also Amazon Music app plays and on the web, but not on my Sonos Move or Play1.

My current home has five speakers in the ceiling ready for surround sound. I would like to take advantage of these with a Sonos system to give my TV surround sound and was wondering what the best way to do that would be. I have read some information on the Amp but it’s still a bit confusing exactly how to do this. Also we would like to be able to stream music on these speakers when not watching TV as well. Thanks for the help!!!

Hello, I have 2 Sonos 5 placed on each side of the TV to listen to music and I just bought a Sonos Ray.I configured my 2 Sonos Five in surround in the app which produces very good sound for movies withe the Ray.The question I ask myself is for the music. When I listen music, the sound comes out of the 3 (it's normal) and I was wondering if that didn't lower the sound quality because the Ray is less powerful than the 5?2nd question: is it possible to have the 3 grouped and create another room where there were only the 2 Sonos five grouped in stereo without the Sonos Ray?thank you

When the 14.18 update came along I loved the sound from my arc, sub gen 3 & 2 SLs After running trueplay it feels like I'm back to square one!! Its taken out any impact the sub had, vocals sounds terrible. Dialogue to low! Tried EQ settings, hate putting speech enhancement on as it makes vocals sound tinny! if you're happy with the sound don't run trueplay! Sick of this sonos setup being so inconsistent

I have a Sonos Arc and want to go surround.Will the Sonos Mini sub and speaker set work with my Arc? It’s a smallish room.

In-ceiling speakers (powered via sonos amp) not playing as surround sound but if I remove the surround sound speakers and have in-ceiling speaker as own group, it will play audio. I have disconnected (unplugged) all sonos products, unplugged router. Rebooted and turned on the products one by one and there was not a fix. I repeated several times, no change.my arc is via Wi-Fi, the amp is wired. I interchangeably moved amp from Wi-Fi to wired and that did not work either.is there any other alternatives?

Hey all,I’ve had a Sonos system for 7 years and this is the first time I’ve had this issue over the last week or so.Whenever I search under Artists, the top default result is Sonos Radio showing 1-3 genre station recommendations, followed by my streaming services with artist results if I scroll down below. Using both Apple and Spotify. Ideally I don’t want genre station recommendations listed first, I’m searching for an artist specifically to listen to which has always worked fine in the past.I’ve updated and re-installed my app, re-authorized, removed and re-added my streaming services, which puts them back at the top of my search result for the first search I perform, and then defaults back to Sonos Radio results again under the Artists tab.When I reached out to support I was told, “It’s a system feature, that’s how it is” but have never had to experience this feature before. Anyone have any insight?
