The Sonos Five do not have any mounting holes to allow for ceiling mounting with a safety cable. I can’t think of a way to do this without modifying the actual speaker. Has anyone been able to successfully come up with a way to hang them face down?
I am hoping I can run 2 sets of speakers for 2 separate rooms off of one Sonos amp. any suggestions or do I need to buy another amp?

I have just recently moved to my SONOS system which is superb. I do have one issue as I have a Ray connected to 2 One SL speakers and Trueplay set up. A couple of times now it goes onto mute. When I tap the Play on the Ray it comes back to life. Any idea why this happens and how do you deliberately set it to mute as I cannot see any instruction to do that?
Hi,For a living room of about 40 m², is it possible to have a configuration that serves both for TV (Home theater) and listening to music, with 1xBeam + 1xSub + 2xSonos Five? The both 5 will be located quite far behind the sofa. And if you only want to listen to music (without turning on the TV), is the sound played on all of them at the same time? Many thanks.
I recently purchased a Sonos Roam SL speaker and connected it to my computer. But sometimes the volume balance goes high and sometimes low. Is it the speaker issue or the issue of my computer? I was totally puzzled about what to do. Could someone please suggest a solution that might assist in resolving this issue?
Hi I’m just checking if this is normal. I currently have a playbar two play ones and a sub in one room. I’ve recently purchased an arc two one Sl’s and sub which is in another room. I’m about my system it’s show the kit in which room it’s assigned to but not the two subs. Is this normal. I do feel like since I’ve added the new system that I’m not getting the impact I used to have when I just had the 5.1
Hi I have just picked up my first Sonos one. I intend to build on them in the future.I thought I was logged on it but now realise I’m not fully I don’t think. I’ve entered my email and password etc but this unit was used in the shop so sometimes asks for a password with a different email I don’t know. how do I change it to mine
On my Apple TV 4k (previous version) when watching Hulu live tv (History channel) the surrounds are outputting sound (LCPM stereo I think according to Sonos App) - when I switch to Motortrend channel they’re outputting Dolby 5.1.All is well, not every channel has surround, but at least there is sound outputting on the History channel. But if I then switch back to History channel from Motortrend, surrounds cut out - subs and Arc still have sound. Switch back to Motortrend channel, surround’s are still outputting as before, 5.1. Back to History again, no sound on surrounds. Sonos app still says LCPM stereo.Only way to get surround on History back is to quick out of Hulu (or just goto Apple home screen) and force quit Hulu app and restart. I can reproduce this all the time.On my TCL Roku tv this never happens in Hulu live.Haven’t tested more Hulu channels… Gotta be the Apple Hulu app I think. All gear and apps are up to date on everything.Wondering if anyone else can reproduce this?
I can play an Amazon Prime playlist but the list itself is not shown
I have an lg television 49UN711C0ZBwhich is connected to my Sonos arc through the earc port and the sound set to pass through to the sound bar.HDMI 1 is set to bitstream and I have connected a Sony input x800m2 blue ray player.this is my second blue ray player that I have bought when playing a film the trailers sound amazing with the Sonos app reporting that they are a 5.1 formatas soo. As the film starts to play the sound quality drops and the effects are reduced.the Sonos app is reporting the sound as stereo.this is frustrating as I get Arnos and 5.1 when I use any of the tvs built in apps and also 5.1 from my virgin boxcan anyone help me with the correct settings as I don’t want to send another blue ray player back
Hi,I’ve recently bought a Sony UBP-X700 4k Blu ray player. Up until now I’ve been using my PS5 but wanted to take advantage of the Dolby Vision and better quality from a 4K player. However, any 4K disc that doesn’t output Dolby Atmos seems to have issues. It outputs the audio as Multichannel PCM 5.1 but every 20-30 seconds I get a momentary drop out of audio and sometimes no audio output at all. As I said Dolby Atmos plays fine.My setup:TV: LG C1Sonos Beam 22x Ones as surroundSub Gen 3I had similar issues when first trying 4k discs on my PS5 but I bought a better HDMI cable and this seemed to fix the issue. I’ve done the same this time to no avail.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Sam
im not sure what has happened, I am still using the s1 app but three of my speakers now say they are incompatible and they worked fine before, I am trying to down grade which has worked on one of them but not on the other two, but even the one that is downgraded will not let me add it back into the sonos 1 app as its saying its needs to update first and it cant update because of a problem with the boost and one of the other speakers, this is all way beyond me
When I click on an album in prime music, I can no longer see the tracks on the album. Instead it immediately starts playing and it doesn’t stay on the album I click on. It is as if I clicked on a band’s station and not the album. Anyone having problems with this?
I have My sonos arc connected to my TV which in turn is connected to my Sonos amp. When the TV is outputting anything other than Dolby surround I do not get any audio out of the ceiling speakers connected to the amp.The sound is only coming from the Arc. On any other system if you are not listening to Dolby output then you still get audio out of the rear speakers albeit only stereo. Is there something wrong with my setup?
I have a Sonos mixed estate one and two every time there is a change upgrade or even a change to terms and conditions my Sonos one kit stops working requiring a lengthy and helpful call to their helpdesk it takes a long time to sort this out every time please can the tech team sort something out as soon as possible thank you?
Hi,So I'm sure this has been tossed around before but couldn't quite find the clarity I wanted.I have 2x Sonos Five's, I would like to buy a Sonos sound bar also and just wondering would it work out fine to have the soundbar below the TV with the fives on either side of the TV so that all speakers are in front of me. The soundbar would most likely be connected via hdmi with the fives connected to it wirelessly. Would this setup work without any drastic audio delays or other issues? What might be an alternative if so?Any clarity is appreciated!
Why Amazon music it's not enable in Sonos for colombia if the service it's available in this country ?
I have recently lost the ability to control the balance of my rears, when used as rear surrounds. Sonos have told me that the only way to restore the balance control is to separate them from the room as surrounds. When set up in trueplay mode or not they, the rears, are out of balance which makes listening to music terrible. This can’t be correct. Can it?
Will the Roam speakers work with Play 1 speakers? We have a paired set of Play 1 speakers in our kitchen overhead and want to use/pair a third portable outdoor speaker for our outside deck as one system.
I’m going to upgrade my current Sonos One speakers (2) that I use as surrounds. Is it as simple as removing the current speakers and then adding the new ones as surrounds with my Arc and Sub?
Hi all,Sorry I know this has been asked a 1000 times but just looking for quick advice about speaker placement. I’m getting delivery of sonos one wall mounts tomorrow and wondering where is best to fix them. The green sofa is the main one we sit on with the centre of the tv opposite the right side of the sofa. I’ve put in different colours the three options for mounting the right speaker. White - beside the green sofaBlue - beside the doorOrange - against the right wall What do we think is best? Thanks
I consider having 12 Sonos One on the same network: “Room 1” and “Room 2”, being able to play both rooms at the same time or separately. Is this possible, or is it a problem?
I’m no doubt repeating the same question. Can anyone assist definitively - I have a S1 controlled system; a One, a One SL and a Connect:Amp (1st generation). I’ve just purchased 2 more One SL, but the S1 app tells me I need to use them only with S2 app (even though I have a One SL on the S1 ‘system’ already. I’ve tried the downgrade with S2 (as Sonos suggests), but it won’t even find it, unless I completely set them up (on another wifi to avoid it messing up the S1 group), and as soon as they are set up, the downgrade option is greyed out. Any definitive help out there?
Hello Sonos users,Can anyone confirm if the wall mount of the play1 is compatible with the One. I have the play1 fixed on a wall with ceramic tiles and power supply cable also integrated in the wall, esthetically perfect. I consider upgrading to One and it would be convenient if I can use the same mount...
