Is Sonos Controller For Mac v.14.18 compatible with Mac OS 10.5.8?

I’m using a Mac G5 running OS 10.5.8 as a server to access the majority of my music library files via a network connection to my (newer) iMac running OS Catalina 10.15.7.

I have no issues accessing the music library from the G5 on the iMac, but the Sonos Controller or iPhone app cannot access the G5 library...I’ve confirmed sharing settings and believe them to be correct.

Is the Mac G5 (OS 10.5.8) too many generations removed and incompatible with current Sonos Controller software of iPhone app?

Hello @Philip_S,

That is correct unfortunately, your Mac G5 has an incompatible version. The version you are currently running on your Mac G5 (10.5) is 8 years older than the latest compatible version, which is 10.11 (released on June 2015).

You can find more details about the Sonos App requirements here.

I hope this information helps.
